November 30, 2023 4.0 Pros The task-managing features are great, and working remotely with others is super easy with Quire. The UI looks and feels nice. Cons There are limited features on the free plan, and the subscriptions are expensive. The infinite nested task hierarchy is a game-changer. I can break big, messy projects down into tiny, actionable steps without losing the big picture. Being able to instantly toggle between the structured tree view, a Kanban board, and the timeline keeps me flexible depending on how I need to work that day. Pros I like how Quire is easy to set up, use and explain to colleagues. Several of my coworkers are new to the whole technology thing and have trouble working products like this, so it was nice to be able to give a quick tutorial on this one. It's proved successful at managing daily tasks as well as large work projects. There are a couple of features that could use improvement, but the developers seem very responsive. Pros Infinitely nestable lists. Why does no one else do this?!? These kinds of deeply nested lists are just how my mind works when it's trying to break down big projects. The downside is usually that list becomes unwieldy, long, and hard to look at. Not in Quire! You can fold and unfold tasks so you can more easily navigate the list and see items on the same level. An even bigger surprise and one that I had never even thought of was the ability to "zoom-in" to any task and just see it's children...brilliant! Cons I guess the lack of a timeline (like in Asana) or some other kind of Gantt chart. But really, I have not seen a single product where I can view a task in a list, on a board, on a calendar, \*and\* on a timeline. So it's not like they are behind anyone else. Pros I loved that it was intuitive. Excellent chart to keep track of week's tasks and incoming and outgoing projects. Nice menu that feeds your tasks to you so that you never have to guess what comes next. They have great boards for ease of visual organizing. Simple, fast and functional without a huge learning curve. Pros The best feature of this software is it's simplicity - I know a lot of people want a bucket load of features but in this case simplicity rules! The time spend on finding, modifying, creating, coming from a Kanban app was cut in half because the UX of Quire is pretty straight forward. Pros If you come from other tools, you will easily understand how Quire works. Specially because it has easy to access help guides and the CS team will prompt help with any questions on a board made to discuss what it can be improve . Cons At the beginning I was a bit frustrated searching for how to do something, and because the interface is so clean you can easily become upset - but reaching out for help was easy and welcoming. You can add each individual task and also include sub-task. When there is a deadline for the project you can add due dates so you can be reminded when each project is due. Excellent for when you have several projects going on at once. There is a tutorial when you first log in, it is very helpful. Simple set up, you just have to input your email address. There is a place where you can submit a particular person who is assign to each individual project task. Each task can be grouped. There is also a place where you can add information for detail, so you can describe what information is needed for each particular task. In Quire you can drag and drop, that is when you can move the items around if it falls in the wrong place. Sometimes we tend to make mistakes, but no worry, Quire makes it easy to drag the item to the correct place. The tutorial will show you a few handy shortcuts to make it easy. Pros Finally, I've completed my project management app search with Quire. I want the kanban feature and gnatt charting without the pricetag that comes with and Quire supplies it all. Very easy to pick up Cons Sometimes when making edits on the desktop app, edits are saved when downloading certain lists and re-uploading them as the lists need to then be updated online too. Perhaps an instant sync button would be helpful for edits within the app to show up online. Cons Missing native android app and lack of calendar feature. Additionally, I would like to have a feature in Quire where I can view all tasks in at least 10 projects. The current limit is 5! Gives great peace of mind to lay out what I have to do in a well-organized fashion and I love the simplicity of the app. Great software. Pros It’s brilliant how tasks are easily hierarchically organized! Very much in line with the natural way to do things, orienting around the goal, and segmenting complexity into simple sub-tasks. I feel that I’m capable of doing anything if I just break it into pieces and work back up Cons Like every other todo app, I find that boards are somewhat awkward. It would be nice if boards were implicit at a particular point in the hierarchy and that you could zoom in to see sub-boards But, it’s perfectly usable and better than any other I’ve seen!!
