PhD candidate Research Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Still the best out there" January 14, 2025 5.0 For full disclosure, I am writing this review because it gets me a plan with the timeline feature, which is the key use for me. I have looked for alternatives for about a year now and hate to admit that there really isn't anything better. No other programme has the same ease of use - fast input, easy rearranging, and the ability to be keyboard only. I use quire to plan experiments which have many moving parts and can be difficult to schedule properly. The infinite nesting of lists and timeline view make this so easy. The integrations are not the best, for example some calendar syncing apps do not copy over the item description or breadcrumbs so it can be hard to get context. I couldn't live without it though, would highly recommend for anyone looking for a great manager for modular projects. Pros There is no alternative with the same smooth user experience. The ability to use exclusively keyboard shortcuts for organising and arranging things is key for me and truly makes it a seamless experience. Cons The integrations are limited. The API is great, but maintaining my own calendar syncing can be tiresome.
