### "Provet troubles, stay away"

Terrible. We tried to overcome the issues, but they were too great. Billing was incorrect, but we get no response from them. Support is lacking. the system could be great, but it is not ready.

Pros

The patient records worked well. nice templates once they got into the system. The implementation was good overall.

Cons

The reporting is terrible, the reports do not match up well. End of month reporting does not balance with the actual deposits. Customer service is non-existent. After implementation you are left to figure it out on your own, or deal with support that knows as much as the person using the software. They are not typically able to answer a question.

### "Provet Not a Pro with This Vet"

I put an immense amount of time & effort into setting up this software after having spent years reasearching our options. Looking back, I should have seen the writing on the wall when our first 3 onboarding specialists either quit or were fired. (Fortunately, the woman we ended up with was great but we no longer work with her.) You shouldn't have to wait days, let alone weeks or months, to get issues resolved. Ultimately, since going live over a year ago, we've realized this was not a good decision.

Pros

The layout and customization options are great. We love that you can get information you need relatively quickly. The ability to color code the background of the appointment calendar, and the check-in questions are helpful.

Cons

The lack of customer support is unacceptable. The first line response team is friendly but cannot often solve issues. Getting a response from the technical, back-end team is almost impossible. Everything here is done via ticketing & I have multiple open tickets from over a month ago. Most of the integrations have been troublesome at best. (The number of integrations was a key reason for going with the software but only one out of the 7 we've utilized has lived up to its potential.) The built-in form functionality is subpar, and you have to pay to have signature capture and their advanced knowledge base? Apparently they don't want users to really understand how to use their software. Some of the data I don't feel like I can trust, assuming we can even find it.

### "Customization pros!!!!"

Love the customizations for practically everything and the task function. It has helped our clinic run smoother. It is easy to learn.

Pros

I really enjoy using this software for its high level of customization across various functions, including clinical notes, discharge instructions, communications, and templates. It’s very user-friendly and easy to navigate, allowing me to tailor settings to suit specific needs in almost every area. The flexibility it offers has made documentation and communication smoother and more efficient. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a customizable and intuitive software. F3 is a lifesaver when reviewing medical records.

Cons

When creating estimate templates and ensuring the items are in proper order, it does not stay that way when transferring it from the bundle to the actual estimate. When needing to go through step by step estimate with the Owner, it is hard to do so when the bundle used is very out of order.

### "STAY CLEAR"

SHOCKING. They failed to complete our integration to which it crashed and we had no data on go live day. Then a lot of the history we have been told will never be integrated into the system. Support is lacking (MAINLY FOCUSING ON THEIR CVS CONTRACT)! Xero integration isn't worth the paper its written on. Found out they knew there was a problem and haven't let their clients know about it. Now I have increased sales figures incurring VAT charges. In a nut shell. They don't care about service JUST SALES

should have been more intuitive and simpler to run my practice certainly isn't!

Cons

Cant get basic sales reports Incorrect sales data transferred to accounts package Lack of technical support Keeps on going down during working days Can not trace client payment history or see details of purchases. Basically this system isn't fit for purpose in a first opinion practice where you need to look at purchase trends, reminder compliance, look at a simple sales by client group! Meant to have brought out a DD service for care plans NOW dropped!

The experience has been great from implementing to support when an issue arises.

Pros

Running reports was something that we needed more of and ProVet has saved us so much time by having customizable reporting and auto reporting.

Cons

Having to be on WiFi to access can be a struggle as we go to rural areas, but it’s an easy work around.

### "A Decent Bridge System"

This is biased as we made the transition during the height of the Pandemic and did not receive the typical onboarding experience. Since onboarding, it seems like we have been perpetually playing catch-up to get the full use of this system.

Pros

Cloud based use has been extremely helpful, but using a PIMS based out of country has provided some workflow logic, accounting, and other issues.

Cons

The lack of immediate solutions or fixes, in part due to the technical team being based in Finland while we are users in the United States. This might not be an issue for practices located closer to or in the EU.

### "Intelligent and portable software solution for large animal vets "

Pros

I do like a few features about Provet Cloud. Probably one of the most relevant is that it can actually be used by large animal practitioners as it has production features developed and incorporated to be used as such, rather than to have to adapt a companion animal designed software to the large animal field with all the limitations and frustration that brings along. Another feature I like is the easy portability the software has. I run the software in my 10'' data capable iPad when in the field and the browser visibility is great, comparable when using my laptop or desktop. At times I use it on my phone and it's easy to use too. The software's availabitity to be integrated via API's and webhooks is great, either by the user or via external software such as VetImpress. Last but not least, the support of Provet Cloud is simply terrific. The support agents are extremely responsive, sharp and efficient. I don’t feel like I am wasting my time when I make an inquiry or suggest something like happened when testing other software. They respond very quickly and they have always been very open to listen to my feedback, and have made changes as requested. They keep working for a solution won't close a support ticket until the solution is there or they request the technical people if needed.

Cons

My opinion is coming from Australia. I think there are some printing formats that are very European alike and perhaps they could be more easily editable or customisable by users in other continents, such as in Australia. In my case and due to the type of clientele, invoices are extremely important. These need to be simple but clear. I find the invoices a bit complicated to set up, where the setting boxes to tick or undo are tricky to be found and the descriptions for the settings can be a bit difficult to understand due to the different style of English used in Europe perhaps. I wish the software could have an option for my farm clients to access to their own secure portal so they could see files, clinical notes, invoices, payments, etc. That would be excellent.

Reason for choosing Provet

The positives over-numbered the negatives by far. The incorporated production animal features, the portability, stock management and support were much usable and practical than other options I trialed. When talking to the support agents I feel like I being listened and I am not wasting my time by getting scripted and shallow answers, like happened with almost all the other software's agents.

Very positive. I like the support and the constant evolution of the software

Pros

It is cloud based and we all find it very intuitive to use. It has enabled us to work very effectively this year during Covid restrictions - we would have been totally stuck without it. I also like the fact that it seems to be constantly evolving and embracing suggestions and new ways of working

Cons

Initial migration was tricky but I think it can be with any migration of data and the company were very committed to sorting it.

Very good and a constant work in progress as we learn more and more about what this program can do. We are most impressed with how well they listen to our needs and respond to them in a timely manner. Hands down the best customer service and Provet Cloud was literally the only company that was willing to send their programmers to our clinic in Tucson for a week to observe our workflow and truly understand what we wanted and needed. No other companies were willing to provide that level of customer service and support.

### "Tough start, worth it in the end"

Once you get to know the system and have experience working in it, it adds a good flow to your working routine.

Pros

\- The fact that it can be customized to fit different purposes - you are able to create a Provet page for each clinic within your hospital where each one has it owns settings according to the need of the users. - That you can integrate your referrals straight into the software and send email replies through it without having to deal with a separate email. - You can continue to alter some parts of the software.

Cons

\- You need a lot of assistance/training when you start using the software, it's not logical to understand by itself. - Even though it's positive to be able to continue to adapt the software as you go along, it also makes it difficult for the users to keep up. - Online platform makes it vulnerable.

Pros

I'm glad to report that we very happy to use and recommend Provet Cloud. First of all, having it based in the cloud, allowing access from any point and seamless updates, is a major plus over desk-based systems. The appearance on the screen is fresh, intuitive and user friendly. Features to communicate with the client work very well and we have received lots of positive feedback from clients particularly in relation to text confirmation and reminders of appointments. The support and backup has been very good. All issues have been dealt with professionally and quickly. The knowledge base was very useful for giving overall help when starting to use Provet Cloud. The in-app messenger provides instant access to support when needed and is a very easy and useful way to communicate. We have just moved from a paper-based system and are still learning how to best use the system but are very happy we made the right choice and that it has lot more to offer us as we get more familiar with it and as our practice grows. Price wise I think it represents exceptional value for money.

Cons

Very little not to like about this package. There is not (yet) an app which could be used offline which would be very useful for the large animal section of the practice.

Pros

Planning and updating work shifts is much more easier than earlier with Provet.Net. Payment options are better and more-sided than earlier with Provet.Net. Admin options are easy to use.

Cons

Search function should be more clear and quick. Also would be nice if Provet Cloud had more options to search. Also I'd like if the Appointment reason was connected to the group which covers the same kind of reasons so you'll not needed to write the reason manually. User quide is missing: I'D like to have for example pdf.manual available.

### "Conversion to Provet"

Support is really good, I feel refresher training sessions would be great both for staff and new comers on the basics and reporting systems

Connectivity between practice and client and branches

Cons

Integration did present us with problems and I feel had the staff doing the conversion visited our sites prior to arriving to do conversion precious time would not have been lost on ironing out issues. I think info we supply prior to conversion should definately be checked thoroughly prior to conversion rather than assumption all correct

Communication with Provet was good and happy to demo system more than once and be patient! Also, the knowledge base of sales team.

I like how simple it is to use. I generally use this when typing clients notes, adding histories/lab results, booking appointments/repeat meds and pricing things up.

Cons

I believe there are many other great features on this software that aren't really clearly available.

I was looking for a software to start my practice with that would be portable and would work well with iPad as well. In a small animal clinic environment Provet Cloud works like a charm since every staff member can access the software and make notes for the patient seamlessly from their own devices at the same time. And the best thing is that I can easily use it during ambulatory practice in the field or home as well. It even works with iPhone if you for some reason don't happen to have your computer with you or run out of battery when on house call. The patients prescriptions and other papers can be easily printed wireless from your phone if needed. It takes a day or two to organize the software as you want it to be (save all the info) but after that it is very easy to use. I have used many different software and this is by far the "smartest" one. The design of the software is very modern and it pleases the eye as well. The best thing about this software was the possibility to communicate with the owners through the software. They can send you feedback and you can e-mail or text them (results, appointment times, invoice reminders, instructions...) straight from the patients own "chart" if you need to. Even though the customer service isn't needed that often when I had questions they were easily accessed via the software it self/e-mail or phone. And they sort the problem on the spot. So full 10 points to the customer service! They intoduce new features to the software all the time so I'm confident that in the near future the software is going to go from excellent to outstanding. I can really recommend this software for clinics as well as for vets who work from their cars in the field. Specially if you would like the software to work in a Mac/"touch screen environment" as well, this is a very good choice for you!

### "Efficient system with fantastic support."

Peace of mind and confidence that systems are in place and working.

Pros

The ability to perform different tasks in a variety of ways. Great for staying in contact with clients. Quick label printer. The dashboard is great, patients with medication etc to collect appear here plus appointments for quick reference. Easy to search for patients/clients. Love the email, text and estimate facilities. Fantastic to have automated reminders within PMS. Provet's support is brilliant, am confident queries are dealt with and overcome. Speech bubble support makes this very simple.

Cons

Would be great to link with something like Constant Contact / Mail Chimp for our blogs so our regular clients visit & interact with our website. Would like to be able to prescribe medication without having to go via consultation.

i think the advanced search feature particularly useful for research, i like the way you can narrow your search to a specific client /patient or can search for a group of patients

it can often make basic tasks seem very complex with a lot of 'clicks' needed to reach the destination you want

I havn´t comletely started with it. I will probably start within the next 2 weeks

Pros

The many aspects. I liked that one can set the price I bougt for and than figure out a price. Before I never knew that and I have been working as a veterinary surgeon for almost 20 years.

Cons

When their is an invoice I wish one could use OCR -number to easier clear invoices. I would gladely pay for it

so functions are not so obvious and there is too many different ways to achieve the same action. so for instance you can book an appointment at least 3 ways which can be confusing. and there is not user manual so it is user tested which I feel makes it less efficient as we do not see the whole potential of the system.

Remember that the Knowledge Base is online, although for the University, we are still in the process of developing features, and any manual published now would be quickly out of date! But there will be periodic uploads of guides on the new features as they come out. As you use the new system more, I am sure you will discover great ways to make it work for you. ### "Would recommend time and time again"

Very pleased, and would recommend time and time again.

Pros

Having used a number of PMSs, I never fail to be impressed by the ease of use of the software, and intuitive functionality.

Cons

It would be good to be able to manually enter the species. Working with zoo and exotics, the species and breed selection drop-downs prove very limited; most of my patients are 'mammal - other'

Reason for choosing Provet

Well laid-out website, indicative of well laid-out software. If you can't work out a PMSs website, you don't stand much chance using their software!

Pros

patient remission feedback e-mail system is good

Cons

Setting up the business settings is very complicated. There are still many defects that make daily activities very difficult, many errors and the customer support is unable to give advise/help in these problems. Does not work with IDEXX external laboratories yet as the system is now under some changes.
