The ability to go back and find something in the documents makes it very convenient. Cons the actual saving and attachment process are a bit time consuming because of the slowness of the system most times. The convenience of having everything in one place makes up for the slowness. Able to load reports to third party auditors, and able to assign different tasks to multiple users. Pros Easy of use and multiple features for download/uploads and preparer and approver features. It's also accessible from anywhere with internet and web browser. Cons It takes time for the system to update. Sometimes it also takes time to download supports and documents. It is a low cost way to host account reconciliations in the cloud for our auditors to access 24/7. The automatic account reconciliation process is the way of way of the future and I highly recommend researching this solution for your accounting department. My accounting department really likes this solution. Pros It speeds up our internal process to approve and process electronic account reconciliations with an audit trail that is easy to follow. The dashboard tells me what has been done and by who, and what needs some review. For a busy accounting department ART is a huge time saver for Month end/Year end processes. Pros ART software removes the need for Excel, PDF, box.com or other resources used to track and complete your monthly Account Reconciliations. Our auditors are remote so ART gives the auditors access to log in and see where our GL data stands throughout the year. Cons The GL data upload is very simple and easy, my only request would be to link the data to our ERP system to update automatically. Review Source bC becky C. As well as our month-end close schedule checklist. This is a great feature that allows us to stay organized and on-track during this hectic time. Cons System Admin feature works okay, but would be great if this feature would allow the admin to review/approve or prepare reconciliations. Pros How everything is centralized and easy to navigate Cons Uploading General Ledger an new accounts so far. New to the process and we're finding it difficult, but within time, we'll get the hand of the new process. There are some small things that would make it a better experience, such as scrolling, etc. Simple little things. " June 12, 2017 5.0 Pros The software is straightforward and easy to use both from an admin and user perspective. Set up and monthly maintenance is simple. The different monthly reports are helpful especially when it comes to tracking work status and keeping track of who and when changes are made in the system. July 17, 2018 3.0 Its great at saving paper and not having to worry about formulas in Excel. Pros I like that SkyStem allows me to save paper. Its great if I have an item that stays on the recon, I can just leave it open with the support attached. The team is also super helpful! Then the COVID-19 pandemic hit us and everyone else. Being in healthcare, our administrative office went from everyone working on-site to everyone working remote from home and our contract employee's assignment was ended. As a result implementation has stalled. Once we get establish what the new normal will look like, we're positioned to pick up where we left off. June 28, 2018 4.0 It's doing the job needed. Pros The software performed the task of recording the balance sheet reconciliations. A good, functional working tool. Cons Truly small matters, but: the interface is esthetically lacking, and logically poor. There is a good amount of unused space, and then unappealing groupings of information which adds an unsightliness, as well as necessitating a learning curve to understanding the interface logic. The software is a good working tool, that lacks the soft touch of user comforts. Kind of like the first car being steered with a stick rather than a steering wheel. The stick worked fine, but the evolution to a steering wheel just seemed to make it better. Review Source nJ nicholas J. Good tool to have all monthly and quarterly reports in one location. Great for auditors. Pros It get's the job done. Monthly reconciliations are stored in a convenient place. SkyStem ART has been both a valued time-saver and much-appreciated simplifier for our Accounting team. SkyStems's ART system was easy to learn, significantly reduced our team's reconciliation prep time, and has done so at great value. June 28, 2018 3.0 Pros It is a nice management software, I just wish it functioned a bit more promptly. I do like that we have one tool to manage the JEs and reconciliations. Cons This software is VERY SLOW to save/signoff. The software just sits spinning while trying to save/signoff on items. June 28, 2018 3.0 This helps us track and be able to review our balance sheet recs. more accurately. This definantly beats doing manual balance sheet recs every month. Pros I like that this avoids any manual reconciliation. It allows us to also go back and review period months and reporting periods. Cons It doesn't always update when we approve certain balance sheet accounts. The approval process seems to duplicate from approver to submitter. Prior to this everyone did their own form of reconciliations and this forced us into uniformity. Cons Submitting journal entries. Pros I find the system straight forward and very self explanatory. I have never had any major issues using this. Cons Sometimes you get logged out of the system and have to log back in.
