June 28, 2018 4.0 Time savings Pros Allows direct communication between the preparer and approver which is also a time saver. I like the variance field. Without opening the reconciliation I know what to look for. Cons It's mostly an internal issue, but sometimes when NetSuite is reopened we have to wait for ART to refresh before we can submit our reconciliations. Review Source DS Derek S. Used the software for: ### "Excellent Product" February 20, 2017 5.0 We have used the ART product for several years now. We have been pleased since day one. Accounts are reconciled much timelier as opposed traditional paper reconciliations. Further, Management loves the visibility provided by the product. Management can ensure proper and timely completion, verify support is adequate, provide additional staff training when needed, etc. Our Audit department is also a fan because they can retrieve information on demand. This helps them achieve their goals more efficiently and often eliminates much of the administrative burden placed on Accounting when fulfilling Audit documentation requests. Being a reviewer only it is hard to help the staff Cons I can only be the reviewer so I have to spend time doing the recs in excel and then having to sit with my staff to help them but since I am not a preparer it is challenging. Pros easy to navigate through the screens and easily see month end totals Cons having attachments too large to upload so some files need to be adjusted to be uploaded. Easy to look back at the status of previous months. Pros Very simple system. Great landing dashboard. Get the job done. Does not have 5000 features embedded where 4999 of them either no one knows or no one uses. Cons UI need an upgrade. Too colorful (in term of brightness). Not sure what's the legend for at the bottom w/ all the tooltip. Not extremely friendly for new users given that every page seems to have similar layout. The reporting structure also looks good. The availability of back up reviewer and preparer function is also helpful. Cons The skystem tool doesnot provide the functionality to upload a file greater than 15MB. We have few reconciliations wherein we need to make adjustmments to make a file smaller. March 26, 2019 4.0 Pros In my role, I work with a lot of data - and ART allows you to upload the data for support to the account. Very easy. My supervisor can easily view it and approve it. Cons The follow up to pending stuffs that are pending to approve by the superior, it should not send emails to the preparers reminding that are pending to review just to the approver for its purpose. + The frequency and timing for sending emails of reminders (Sundays are days off). The team has come together to discuss better ways to use the software and how the software has helped them in their monthly close responsibilities. Pros The software allows us to keep track of the status of our account reconciliations each month and quarter. We had problems in the past with our Excel spreadsheets not being done and no one knew about it. Converting to SkyStem also popped out a few things that were wrong and hadn't been identified in over 2 years. Cons We keep learning things that would have been better for us to set up at the beginning, but we just didn't understand at the time. I wish we could have had more time to set up at the beginning.
