Pros

I really enjoyed the ease of use to not only control, but manage and monitor so many users and computers at once from one screen.

Cons

I wish the search functionality had a bit more AI in it's results, but it is certainly very usable.

Great support. They're fast, efficient, and patient. The Reach Console is easy to use and has gotten us out of a pinch on many occasions.

Pros

It's easy and quick to use and customize.

Cons

I have not heard any complaints about Goverlan from our IT staff.

For the feature set, and how it's licensed it's a great product.

Pros

Simple, effective and easy to navigate interface with plenty of options. Great bang for the buck.

Cons

My success rate deploying software is rather low; wish it were as effective and PDQ Deploy. Also have occasional issues with accessing end points (random SSPI errors).

A great tool for deploying software and printers as well as remote management.

Pros

Powerful tool that is easy to use and often the quickest way to get things done.Also a very good deal price wise compared to other products.

Cons

Buggy still. Console often crashes and sometimes software packages are not listed and you have to restart for them to show up in the console.

I would highly recommend the Goverlan. It has many features, its just that, i havent explored it yet since i am handling other things as well.

Pros

it can do everything. I just did an automation to automatically check/patched all my systems.

Cons

I cant select my favorite group to the automation process.

Pros

It gives me a piece of mind that I can oversee all the computers on my network from anywhere on my computer to be able to help employees in need.

Cons

Longer support hours would be better when in need. Mac implementation is highly needed as right now nothing is being used to monitor my Macs in the office

required additioanal features like packaging, packaging deployment kits with local admin passwords. So that we can deploy packages to all users, nevertheless they have local admin address or not.

The ability to tie into Active Directory helped greatly with setup.

WMI doesn't seem to work very well...Even evaluating a windows log becomes difficult.

Pros

When it works it works fast. Fairly easy to get into the same domain computers.

Cons

Can't really recreate AD tree accurately or quickly. Can't really mirror the same keystrokes across multiple PC's at the same time easily.

The biggest plus for me is not having to have 3-4 different applications open on my pc. Being able to do it all from Goverlan is great.

Pros

The remote control is terrific. The granularity of the scope actions is tremendous. Automating processing is great.

Cons

Wish the client reporting worked a little more like Belmanage. Otherwise very nice, sometimes a little overwhelming, but that is not necessarily a bad thing.

Goverlan is a reasonably priced solution compared to some of the exorbitantly priced competition and the support has been good overall.

Pros

Ability to remotely (and silently) install/remove software, add printers, turn on/off firewall etc.

Cons

As is reliant on DNS, any records that need cleanup or are old can confuse the software. TeamViewer for example works in a different way so does not suffer from this issue.

Pros

The ease of pulling system info, pushing drive mappings and printers. The ability to quickly see what user is logged into a device of finding a user and seeing what they are logged into. The remote cmd prompt is excellent

Cons

Having to use an asterisk when searching by computer name. The external reach remote connection doesn't seem fully baked.

I have rarely had problems with the Goverlan program. I would recommend this program to all technology coordinators.

Pros

All of the features that I use including silently adding programs, logging into computers to maintain programs, and monitoring users are all very user friendly. Instructions are easy to follow and understand.

Cons

There are those rare times when the computer I would like to add a program to doesn't connect properly. Most of the time the computer hasn't had the agent installed.

Our customers are all over the US. Having Goverlan reach we're able to manage their IT assets more effectively than before.

Pros

Goverlan works just as described and their support has always been easy to reach for questions when we had them.

Cons

Though most of our customers run on Windows, our IT team prefers running on Macs. It would be better for us if the management console wasn't limited to Windows only.

Pros

It is easy access to other computer allowing you to turning on and off. It even allows you to see what software are on users computer allowing you to diagnose problems

Cons

The response time on user other persons computer is really slow when you click on something. I dont like the notifictions it shows when you remote into ones computer unless you edit group policies.

Pros

It covers all the bases for a remote pc controlling app. Recording/screenshotting, remote task manager, and reporting.

Cons

We don't use this thing to it's full potential. With the tutorials and online training etc, were better upkept.
