Pros

This provided me a way to organize about 100+ volunteers for a 2 day event each year. Very simple and easy to set up. Provided a great grid of open slots for volunteers to see what areas needed more help and which ones were pretty well filled

Cons

I honestly can't think of anything I don't like... The layout for the volunteer sign up page is a little plain but it keeps things simple and gets the job done

I've used iVolunteer for at least 10 years and recommended it to other organizations. Our volunteers love how easy it is to volunteer and our staff like how easy it is to set up events and communicate with volunteers.

Pros

I love how easy it is to set up events according to the unique needs of each event. Also, being able to make changes to events without changing the link for our volunteers is a great feature. The best thing is how easy it is for our volunteers to sign up, receive reminders and thank you messages and to be in a database to get information about new events.

Cons

Having multiple volunteers with one email has made it a challenge to report accurate participation numbers. But having the capability to sign up multiple people with one email (families or groups) is more important than the reporting information. Not having a text option for volunteers was something we've wished for a long time.

I would say C -- I have not looked for other options yet. It does make it easy for volunteers to find the events we need help with

Pros

I like the cost -- it is reasonable for a small charity like ours. There are some helpful features like the auto reminder.

Cons

You can not clean up contact list.. many duplicates and very messy. We need to be able to manage the master volunteer list and clean up dupes - UI is clunky at best.

We started out with a 30 day free trial and quickly realized we needed to up our game. \[sensitive content hidden\] in the support department has been absolutely fantastic, never makes you feel stupid, explains things and sends an email recapping everything. We are 100% pleased with iVolunteer!

Pros

The website is intuitive and easy to understand although it might be easy for me to say that since I’ve used other systems before so I’m somewhat familiar with the concept. The best part is that our volunteer program has gone from maybe a half dozen people to almost 100. Volunteers like to know exactly what they’re going to be doing the date the time; they appreciate consistency and this website accommodates all of those concerns.

Cons

I don’t really have any negative things to say about the website, the design, the features or the support.

I really appreciate how much time saves me in. I am constantly soliciting volunteers and managing sign-ups for my job, and ivolunteer.com takes much of the headache out of the sign-up and reminder process.

Pros

I like how easy it is to set up and edit reminder e-mails. I also like how I can quickly sign up people who are already in my system and can duplicate an event while keeping all of the same volunteers when needed. This works great for events that happen monthly, and I need the same people to get reminders without making them sign up for each month.

Cons

I wish that the creation of forms were streamlined. There are so many tabs with so many options, which allows for diversity within forms, but it would be easier if it were simpler. Too often, I forget to change something on one page, but don't realize it because I have moved past that page.

There is a learning curve to ensure you enter your information correctly. But it is a good resource.

Pros

It provides an easy way to track multiple schedules for multiple people. It is also convenient for the faculty I work with to choose their availability.

Cons

The downside is that the iVolunteer itinerary or schedule doesn't have a professional look, so I have to create that separately.

I have been utilizing iVolunteer for 3 years now for our National Convention & Expo and it is the only system that can manage such a large number of volunteers. My volunteers like how easy it is to sign up for shifts, cancel, and change shifts. On the admin side I enjoy the mass email functionality and but the schedule and description layouts can be worked on.

Pros

I enjoy the flexibility it offers. I am able to make changes and communicate with my volunteers even during the event in real time. The system is super easy to utilize by the volunteer and admin. I also enjoy that everything is customizable, and you can save your data for the following year.

Cons

I feel that the overall layout can be better. Volunteers should also be able to sign up for all volunteer shifts at once. Offering design templates could be useful as well for new users who would like to things up and running in a short period of time.

It's been terrific. Prior coordinators used paper and pen to track who was signed up and which house they are assigned to. Now, I can manually assign those volunteers I want at a given house, and the rest can select where they want to help out without my having to track anything. It's been an amazing time-saver! The fact that they can sign-up and receive a confirmation email with all the information regarding the home tour is a big plus - once again saving me time, plus it ensures I don't miss contacting anyone. The few times I had questions, I was able to call and speak to a live person who was friendly and knowledgeable. As a 30+ year IT professional, I highly recommend iVolunteer! Several people I know have used iVolunteer at my suggestion, and all of them have been happy as well. Thank you for a great program and made things much easier for the "Inside the Gates" Home Tour!

Pros

I use iVolunteer for a charity Home Tour. Previously, the volunteer coordinator maintained everything on paper - iVolunteer allows easy sign-ups and tracking of all committments.

Cons

Using the prior year as my template could be simplified a little. It takes me a little longer than I'd like to make sure everything has been updated properly.

iVolunteer database management system is terrific! Customer service is exceptional. Their Text capability will give our volunteers "up to the min" news about what is going on and how they can help!

Pros

We love using iVolunteer. The customer support is top notch! We get answers timely and they are willing to help accommodate our specific niche' of requests.

Cons

We would love to see more font and color capability for texts, as well as server space to upload flyers for events if needed. It would be nice for "My Commitments" page to display a grid: (event title, attended date; Name of POC of event, POC phone #, confirmed attendance date)

This has been a system used within the organization since 2020 due to the constant upgrades provided that align with the growth of tasks and roles that are required every year to improve participant experiences.

Pros

Having a user friendly interface that allows for event specific adjustments without source coding headaches! Any questions in regards to set up or the software itself is covered through the customer support team or the videos provided.

Cons

There are some limitations when it comes to creating sub-groups for events. Especially when there is a lot of diversity with the number of volunteer roles to be filled. The more roles, the busier that the page can look without subgroups.

It is really easy to create events and sign up pages. There are tons of options to choose from when creating events.

Cons

The organizational web page set up can be a bit confusing and the box doesn't expand to allow you to see the entire page while editing.

I have used iVolunteer for the past 3 years for an annual run and it has been an absolute time saver. You can set up an event and schedule reminder emails with urls to your volunteer handbook as well as customize your sign up (for example, asking prospective volunteers to input emergency information) all with a few clicks. For events that are reoccuring, the software saves your previous details such as previous schedule and database of volunteers so that you do not have to duplicate information for the next year. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone who holds large events.

Pros

Automation of responses and emails, auto confirmation for volunteers.

Cons

Takes a bit of time to get used to features.

I have used iVolunteer for over 10 years managing about 5 sites. I have tried other systems, but none are as simple to setup and manage as iVolunteer.

Pros

Easy and intuitive for managers and volunteers. Many options for setup. Valuable database and email system. Webpages are useful to volunteers to learn more about event. Can give vols ability to control just a few things or many things. The more they do the less I have to do.

Cons

Well, to be honest, it would be nice if it were a bit cheaper. Though it is competitive with other volunteer sign-up sites.

It was easy to understand, set up and use. The dashboard gave me great visibility into how my signups were going. And the price was great - great functionality for the price.

Pros

It was super easy for the volunteers to use to sign up for things - with over 150 volunteers who had never seen it before, I got 2 questions. Everyone else was able to sign up for - mostly multiple - volunteer slots on their own.

Cons

I would have liked more control of the sort order controlling how the events appeared on the home page. And I would have liked to be able to tweak things in the setup on a tablet... The setup screens didn't work on the Kindle Fire tablet.

I really enjoy using . It's a great tool with many customizable features to use for volunteers to sign up for roles.

Pros

I like that you can customize the volunteer screen. I can set up automatic email reminders to volunteers. I also, get a confirmation that the emails were sent out. In addition, I like that I can view who signed up, and the attendee can't view who signed up. I also like that it has a calendar template I can use for volunteers to sign up. I don't have to recreate everything from scratch every month.

Cons

At the moment there's nothing I dislike. I honestly can't think of anything. The only thing I would say is the fact that I can't send automatic text messages.

We have a menu item on our website that has all of the volunteer events and we're able to link to individual events in our social media and newsletters. It's very easy to share.

Pros

It's an easy way for volunteers to see the jobs that need doing and sign up for something. It helps keep them accountable since they've signed up for it. We just recently used it for asking for a "donation of things" as well and that worked really well as we didn't end up with a bunch of duplicate items.

Cons

I think the interface could be a bit smoother. It functions fine but not every feature is intuitive.

iVolunteer is a great platform. I love there are no adds. The support team is excellent. I discovered iVolunteer about 8 or 9 years ago, setting up events for more than 4K volunteers across the globe.

Pros

How simple and straight forward it is to setup and event, and for volunteers to register. So simple it's genius.

Cons

The lack of a text option to send updates, reminders, etc to volunteers. Any additional cost to include it in a yearly plan would be worth it.

We've been using this system for several years with our club and it's been very successful. There are lots of options depending upon the type of event you have which is great. Once the template is setup it can easily be copied.

Pros

iVolunteer is highly customizable. It's easy to use once you learn how it works and customer service is excellent.

Cons

It's not mobile friendly to make changes to the events. I just make sure I use my laptop to make changes.

IVolunteer saves time by being able to create an event by copying a previous one. Makes contacting volunteers a breeze and has several ways to do so. Love it!!

Pros

Love the ability to copy a previous event! Saves so much time setting up the next event! Having all the volunteer's emails in one place makes it easy to contact them.

Cons

Takes a while to learn how to utilize all the features but that's not a bad problem to have. Sometimes I have to hunt to find where certain language is coming from in order to edit.

Pros

iVolunteer is easy to use and keeps all of our volunteers organized. I especially like the email reminders and the ability to create several home pages.

Cons

There isn't anything I really don't like. There is a bit of a learning curve regarding setting up the sign up but so far it's been useful for us.

Pros

I love the ease with which volunteers can sign up for a shift. I also love the reminder functionality that we can set a day or two ahead of the event.

Cons

We have used ivolunteer for at least 3 years and to date, we have not found any issues with using the program for our volunteers and in the administration.
