IT Manager and ast. camp leader Entertainment Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Ivolunteer at Burning Man" November 19, 2024 5.0 I bought ivolunteer for scheduling workshifts in our Burning Man Theme Camp (Spanky's Wine Bar), after an extensive evaluation of roughly 100 packages for scheduling. Some were extremely rigid and lacking in critical functionality. Others would be great for a hospital chain, with an astronomical cost. Ivolunteer hit the sweeet spot. I also like that I can pay for 3 months of usage, and then put it to sleeep for 9 months, with everything still set up when I bring it back to life. Pros Incredible flexibility at a super-reasonable cost, with great support for the couple of questions I've had. Cons Requires a functioning internet connection, which could be a problem before Starlink. Still, it works great and price is amazing. I can plan out multiple events and schedule them all. Cons I think the user face could be more graphic friendly, and wish I could make the headers be more descriptive. September 20, 2024 4.0 Our overall experience with iVolunteer has been positive, and the company has been easy to work with and so helpful to answer our questions and offer advice when needed. We appreciate the long-running relationship we've had with the company and how it has been able to help us with tracking and reporting student hours. Pros I appreciate their customer service and quick response from their support team. Our ministry has been with the company for a long time, and iVolunteer has been very accommodating and helpful regarding our needs and request. Cons The challenges we've had with iVolunteer are some of our students find it difficult to find their volunteer hours because of the steps it takes to get there when they haven't logged into the system for a while. It has also been challenging for our Student Volunteer Coordinator to track and process volunteer hours for over 1,000 students. Review Source HE Hyla E. Pros It aligns to the needs of our non-profit organization. We can manage all of our events quite well in the framework. It enables us to manage the database of our volunteers too. Cons Could have more customizations in the app, in the data itself and in reporting. Ad-hoc reporting would be great (customize reports to exactly what data you need). Almost everything (feature-wise) you could want. Cons It can be overwhelming at times when you start in the home screen. Late changes are easy to update. Creating groups and sending emails was very simple. It does everything I need it to do. Pros Ease of use and efficiency. It is also very flexible to make last minute changes to scheduling. Email system is smooth and easy to use. It keeps our events up to date and our users well informed. Cons None, every issue was solved. Most challenges were due to my lack of experience in IT, and even then, the system was not hard to figure out. Review Source FW Faith W. I use the subsets when I target emails to volunteers who are interested in specific tasks. Pros What I especially appreciate is the customer support. Whenever I have a problem or question, it is resolved or answered quickly. Cons I wish that the emails were archived so they could be searched. I currently save everything I email to a folder where I can access the content. Executive Director Non-Profit Organization Management Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Best free volunteer sign-up platform" November 20, 2024 5.0 I did a bit of online "research" and landed on ivolunteer as the option that worked best for coordinating the volunteers that signed up to help with our haunted house fundraiser. I love that it is user friendly and free. It was perfect for our needs. Pros How user friendly it was. It was very easy to set up multiple different roles across multiple different days/times. It was the best and easiest option to utilize for our event. Cons I wish it had the option to automatically generate a QR code that would lead to the sign-up page. Everybody uses QR codes now and other companies often charge to create them. I would recommend it to any organization. Pros I like everything. It is easy to learn and work with and our faculty love how easy it is to sign up for meetings and events. Compared to the circus that was our volunteer sign-up fair, this is so much simpler and more efficient, removing the need for volunteers to show up in person to sign up to volunteer.
