### "N-Central is Good, N-able is Great!"

May 4, 2026

4.0

It is a decent product and so far, the best I've used. I like the company even more, their peer groups and head nerds are great!

Pros

Flexibility to create your own monitors, patching management, integrations with other systems, API support.

Cons

All new features require new SSO, limited innovation around existing features, some features just seem to take forever to be released and be fully in production (Nzo, Analytics, Vulnerability dashboard, etc)

### "Feedback on N‑Central Experience"

May 8, 2026

4.0

My overall experience is very positive. We will continue using N‑Central for a long time, it is our first support tool.

Pros

Overall, it is an excellent work tool. I particularly use the Take Control option very often, and it works like a Swiss watch! The ability to open a support case and instantly start a chat with an agent is outstanding. It truly sets you apart from other technology companies. Please keep this focus—great support often matters even more than a great product and you have both of them.

Cons

I believe generating reports and alerts should be a bit simpler, more predefined reports would be a great thing.

### "The decent product from your line"

April 28, 2026

4.0

Overall can't really complain. Most issues come from Take Control but I know that is seperate so NCentral as a whole is actually pretty decent. Which is saying a lot because most of the time I have nothing but issues with NAble products. With all the other products, we find ourselves contacting customer support more than actually using the product.

Pros

Out of all your products, this is the better one. Supports most things you could as for from an RMM agent.

Cons

Something I dislike about NCentral is customization options when it comes to how a device is displayed once you get into device details. The widgets have the 3x3 dot icons like you should be able to re-arrange but you cant.

### "N-Central- 15+ year MSP Client"

May 14, 2025

4.0

Overall we are pleased with N-Central. We have reviewed other RMM tools that have greater functionality, but also appear to have a more complex interface.

Pros

N central gives us the ability to remotely support our clients users. The ability to pull serial numbers and tag numbers makes creating lifecycle reports for clients easier.

Cons

Often, devices are not checking in. In some cases, the devices are no longer in use, but we have had instances where this was not the case and we needed to reinstall the agent.

### "N-Central Overall review"

April 28, 2026

4.0

Overall experience is really good! I really enjoy using it as we were using another RMM that wasn't as good. Monitoring is really easy and seamless. I can open two devices at once. And the customer support is really kind and understanding. Management processes are explained by customer service very well!

Pros

I can remote into all my clients devices with ease. Super easy to use and can learn alot! The security of N-Central is top notch too. It automatically signs you out after a period of time to ensure no one can access it. The value N-Central provides our company is extreme. And the user interface is very easy to learn.

Cons

Sometimes there's too much to learn all at once. Sometimes the temporary downtime can cause issues. The downtime issues are very few and inbetween though.

Great experience, since the very beginning the support from vendor was very good, it changed a lot the way that we were operating

Pros

Cons

### "You are doing good Job. :)"

April 25, 2025

4.0

Overall experience is 8.5/10. We have added MSP Manager recently, so exploring the features and options for the time being.

Pros

N-central provides more services with flexibility than others. Its standout features include advanced automation for routine tasks, customizable dashboards, and comprehensive network monitoring. It offers scalability, making it suitable for both small businesses and large enterprises. Moreover, it has proactive alerting and patch management tools help ensure efficient system managemnt. improving overall IT performance and reducing the downtime. I like the take control remote service more than the others as it shows info of remote device rightway and real time status of devices.

Cons

I do not like the few options in MSP Manager. Like, while adding the time entry, if I do it manually, it is not saving the time entry, but if I select from the drop-down menu, it works. If we added the wrong email address by mistake, it is sending undeliverable emails continuously. More than 100 emails have been received, which was very annoying. After changing the status of a ticket, we cannot add a time entry, which should be allowed.

### "Taos Pueblo N-ABLE Review"

Pretty good, there are a couple of things I don't like but once you get an understanding of how it works, you can find workarounds.

Pros

The amount of customization you can do, especially for clients/departments. The information given on endpoints as well.

Cons

The UI can be a little confusing at first, not very user friendly. Some prerequisite settings aren't easy to change.

### "Great Tool for Managing Clients"

April 25, 2025

5.0

for the most part my experience has been great. Tech resources have be thin and sometime hard to get on the phone, but when we do issues get resolved quickly.

Pros

works well to help me manage my client tech environment. It has the managed anti-virus that is quite effective (Bitdefender) and seems to work well rolling out Microsoft patches.

Cons

N-central has poor reporting. It would be good to have more robust reports on automated tasks, that we can present to customers directly.

### "A good review"

April 28, 2025

5.0

I very much enjoy it and think it is a very valuable tool for my organization. The IT individual who works under me has really no prior experience in computers, but he has adapted well because of how easy N-central is to use.

Pros

Ease of use and the number of documentation/videos available. For something of this size, a lot of documentation is needed to navigate it and make it useful. Through the documentation I have automated many tasks for my company.

Cons

It can be a little confusing at first about where to create/link rules and scheduled tasks.

### "The best RMM I've tested"

April 30, 2025

5.0

Generally a great experience, its a little difficult to get setup and figure out menus but once it has been setup its a very powerful piece of software. Their public roadmap is very encouraging that this will only be getting better!

Pros

The main thing about N-Central that won us over is the reliability of running scripts. Scripts are executed almost immediately, on-demand and scheduled. Its very responsive and we've not encountered any issues at all that weren't our own fault.

Cons

There is a lack of support for Linux distros, the documentation claims to support linux however the "support" is very limited at the moment.

### "N-Central - Great for most MSP's and businesses!"

May 9, 2025

5.0

Great, really does speak volumes and i personally havent come across much more in terms of product sets thats so flexible.

Pros

The take control options, the flexibility of products that can be tagged onto the solution too. I also like the solutions pre-intergrated SNMP MIB's however would always ask for more as the SNMP walks are hard work.

Cons

The dashboards are not typical of monitoring software and we have requested newer better dashboards that we can create.

### "N-Able is great for managing many computers for your company and clients"

April 29, 2025

4.0

Overall experince has been good overall. N-Able is able to handle most of what we do. Occasionally something happens with the Take Control service where we have to uninstall and reinstall it on a computer - but overall it's fairly stable and works well for us.

Pros

N-Central is great from a standpoint of having one central location to remote support, update, and manage computers for your business and clients. From pushing out updates to installing programs via scripts, N-Able is able to do it all.

Cons

The only thing I'd like to see more of with N-Central is more frequent updates on the Remote Viewer/Connection tool. I wish I could set the 'monitor preview' button to always show the view in HORIZONTAL mode instead of vertical mode that it defaults to - since this shows me the way the user has their monitors arranged. The only other main issues I've ran into is user's with large resolutions like 4K on multiple monitors which can overwhelm the viewer and make it starting glitching and crash (albeit this is only for a couple of our CEO/owner levels - but this is important).

### "Not going great."

April 29, 2025

2.0

Not the same as it used to be. The product has barely had any meaningful updates in 5 years. Maybe now that it is no longer part of solar winds something will get updated. But I'm not going to hold my breath. We are creating our own products internally to replace the bulk of what n-central does. When we make our switch, it will be to our own product. Not worth the hassle to switch to another vendor that also doesn't work or charges more. Sorry you had to get this review but at least it's not public.

Pros

Our techs like the scripting ability. There isn't much else to say. They can login to work on PCs remotely. And it integrates with Connectwise so we can gather information and send to other integrations and generate meaningful reports. S1 is not integrated like AVD. In all the years that S1 has been deployed I have seen it catch a handful of exploits. Patching barely works. It's horrible actually. We used to tell clients that we would manage their cell phones. We used to use meraki mdm because n-able was so horrible. The n-able MDM product hasn't changed in 15 years just gross its even listed. The only change is the dashboards in recent years and no one uses them. To say its been a disappointment is an understatement. Unfortunately, we haven't had the time or energy to switch to another vendor.

Cons

the fact that the probes and agent updates almost always fail on 1/2 the deployed clients. It can take months to fix all the broken agents/probe after an update. It's horrible. I would never recommend this product and we have been using since the beginning.

Alternatives considered

[Kaseya VSA](https://www.capterra.com/p/100303/Kaseya-VSA/)

Reason for choosing N-central

I don't remember the other products we looked at. It wasn't Kaseya VSA. Seemed like the right choice at the time. We got a ton of free essential licenses like 20k worth which covered the majority of stuff that we needed. That license got paired back and essentially useless making us have to buy/sell all pros.

Switched from

[Kaseya VSA](https://www.capterra.com/p/100303/Kaseya-VSA/)

We had an internal product that we wrote. Not Kaseya VSA. We switched because the remote control was more secure and required less infrastructure on our end to support. (ie, VPNs everywhere)

### "Great GUI Service and Pricing; API and Linux Capabilities Lacking"

April 29, 2025

4.0

I'm rather pleased with N-Central, for the most part. They've created a system that can allow system administrators to monitor issues and have some of them auto-alleviate; technician's can have a convenient way to work on systems without interrupting the user (if said tech knows Command/PowerShell well enough), and/or they can request control in fair time for a nice remote help session with the user.

Pros

I like all of the options and avenues in which the N-Central agent can be deployed, as well as the capabilities of what all it can monitor. They also seem to have been very competitively priced and worked with negotiations in our purchasing process rather well.

Cons

Some automations within the system are incredible. But the automations outside of the system that are meant to go into it are lacking. Example, the API is great, but there's no way to have an automated script that can renew the API's tokens; we have to manually perform that renewal by hand every month, for Every. Single. Site. Another con: There doesn't seem to be a good way to use the Take Control feature from a technician's Linux desktop. (Workaround: Windows VM on Linux system.)

N-central RMM is a solid, dependable tool that makes managing systems a lot easier. The monitoring and alerting are strong, automation saves tons of time, and everything is centralized in one place. It has allowed our team to address issues in a much quicker faster.

Pros

Generally very good support and customer experience. We are very happy with N-Central, just want more under the hood access.

Pros

Patching control over other software. The ability to control devices as the console as opposed to as a user & ability to run commands as system or user based on automation policies.

Cons

I've used N-Central for almost 3 years, and its become an essential tool in our business. The account managers are always helpful and regular webinars and training sessions mean we always know what's going on and what to expect in the future.

Pros

### "Quite good, with room to improve."

April 24, 2025

4.0

It's been good. The learning curve is high, but once you get a feel for everything it becomes a powerful endpoint management tool. Scripting and third party app installs work well.

Pros

N Central does a good job of managing updates and pulls relevant data about each endpoint. The built in Take Control is a good bonus. We've been able to drop Splashtop and use that instead. SentinelOne integration is a breeze to setup and deploy to endpoints as well.

Cons

Take Control is a bit rough around the edges. It works and is fine for technicians, but can't be used for our end users. We had to use NinjaOne to allow our clients to remotely access their machines.

Alternatives considered

[NinjaOne](https://www.capterra.com/p/184229/NinjaOne/)

The robust looking reports were the main factor. Take Control leaves a lot to be desired, so we may end up going the Ninja route at the end of our contract.

### "Still a Fan, but Hoping for Improvements in Support and Billing"

While I like most of the people I work with at nable, there are many areas for improvements.

Pros

N-Central accomplishes our ability to maintain asset info and has many add-ons that allow you to expand the product to your needs.

Cons

### "Secure-ITNet review"

May 5, 2026

I think it's a pretty good tool, for what we pay for and how we use it. Its a pretty easy system to use.

Pros

What I like most about n-central is the ability to remotely access computers we manage and push out certain apps and features right from the dashboard

Cons

I think the thing that really gets frustrating is after a while of being offline the agent does fall into a sleep and we have to repush it out again, and sometimes it take a while longer to push out certain things like apps and settings
