The visual editor gives you plenty of room to play around with designs, and it feels like a really reliable "all-in-one" starter kit for inbound marketing. It’s not perfect on the analytics side, but for actually building and launching banners, it’s a win. Pros The best part about Getsitecontrol is how low the barrier to entry is. It’s incredibly easy to pick up, and the integration options are a huge plus. We specifically relied on the Zapier integration, which made it painless to pipe our data into the other platforms we use. It basically saves you from having to bug a developer every time you want to connect a new tool. Cons The reporting side of things definitely feels like the platform's weak spot. It lacks a "big picture" dashboard, so you can't really see how everything is performing as a whole at a glance. We actually ended up having to manually copy stats for every single banner into a separate spreadsheet just to get a decent overview of our performance. I really have nothing negative to say other than that I wish their name was easier to say because when I try to recommend it to friends they just say "get site what?". Then we have a discussion about "yeah it's a weird name but the service is great". Pros I was really surprised- it's as good as Klaviyo for my purposes at a tenth of the cost. I run a multi-channel e-commerce company and I already have email automations for orders, new customers, etc, so I really just needed a proper newsletter and list management platform. Klaviyo was overkill for this limited scope, but Getsitecontrol was exactly what I need. Another great point is the customer service- when I first joined it was lacking a couple features but they actually listened to my feedback and added them! There honestly wasn't even a learning curve- it was totally simple. Cons At first it was lacking an important feature, but then that feature was added shortly after. I guess the only drawback is that you have to pay per email but it's a great value and not bad at all. Pros I use the automation builder daily (which is why i have yet to look for another solution) because i love how easy it is to create entire email workflows as users interact with your website; and then they run completely hands-free. Tagging/segmentation options are solid, much better than i thought would be available at this price point. As i sit here on the couch half checking out, i am glad that i can simply remember that the automations are working quietly in the background and i don’t have to worry about them. It’s simple. It works. Cons There is an abundance of features and the first two weeks were overwhelming. There are a few areas of the ui that will slow down when you have larger lists being processed. While minor, every login requires you to enter a confirmation code; and while i get why it needs to exist, it becomes really frustrating after a while. As for your note on reporting: we’ve recently added a View Tracking panel for broadcasts. It shows opens, clicks, and unsubscribes. Right from that panel, you can open the list of contacts your want to view (those who've opened your broadcast email, clicked through it, or unsubscribed), and download them. For automations, it requires a couple of extra clicks. Select 'More' in the Automation card and proceed to view the list of contacts you're interested in. Quick and easy integration via API and Zapier, achieve high CTR, full control when and where (on which page) to display the banner. I can create banners for different devices - desktop, mobile Pros I have been using Getsitecontrol for the past 5 years. What I like is the pre-made design templates that save me time. With a well made pop-up I achieve a CTR of over 45%, which for a marketing channel is more than an excellent result. The integration with Zapier and MailerLite saves me hours of work. Cons I don't have full control over the size of the banners. I would like to be able to set the size of the banner and images manually. I would recommend a drag-and-drop editor so I don't have to use CSS.
