I was looking for the easiest way to setup the network, found ZeroTier and super happy with it so far. There is no need for regular maintenance. User friendly interface for configuring networks and users. Free plan offer everything small business and home user need. Great speed while accessing local network. Pros ZeroTier one is very easy to use software for VPN access. Most important thing for small business and home users there is a free plan for up to 10 users. Software is completely compatible with Windows, IOS, Android and Linux OS. It can be used with various hardware routers to gain access to the whole local network. Most important feature why I am using ZeroTier is there is no need for opening ports on router. Administration is on ZeroTier site. ZeroTier is easy to configure on Mikrotik router. This VPN solution gives great speed comparing to traditional VPN systems. Cons It can be complicated to configure routing in between ZeroTier network and physical's LAN. Official support documentation does not cover all of the issues. I am using Mikrotik forums to solve the problem. ZeroTier is not compatible with all Mikrotik routers. Limiting factor is CPU support. Switched from [Tailscale](https://www.capterra.com/p/234284/Tailscale/) Tailscale is not compatible with Mikrotik router. Pros Easy implementation on Linux, Windows and Android. You can create your own self-hosted networks, without resorting to the provider's platform. The free version is modest, you can have 25 nodes (workstations, servers, smartphones) and have everything on a local network with a segment of IPs that adapt to the network requirements. Additionally, you can create 3 networks completely segmented and disconnected from the others. Latency is much lower when nodes can communicate with each other. It has a very active community, product development and ability to patch issues is very good. Cons It does not have a graphical interface for self-hosting. But if you can install the self-hosted service, you can manage or program a graphical interface for your organization. It's my first choice when a customer needs specific remote access to one machine across the public internet. Pros Zerotier solves the secure connection over public network problem in a way that VPN does not. For direct machine-to-machine connections, it is simple and reliable. Cons I wish setting up my own "moon" were a little easier. Having to go to the main web site to make networking changes is not as private as I would like. Review Source AB Akash B. Cons The user interface may be improved if it provides members added option in different tab after signing, else it's pretty good also if provide virtual name for Different IPs it most useful. With this, I don't have much need to upload my personal stuff to any cloud. Pros I can access my computer at home from my phone at the office and from my own office computer. It is easy to configure and install. You do not need the help of a special technician. It is a true remote access VPN. Cons Nothing, it serves its purpose.
