Customer service isn't easy either. I have trouble understanding the representatives, and when I do they can't really offer me any fixes or even suggestions other than to just unplug the unit when I want to drive for personal reasons. Doing so is unacceptable with DOT. I've asked them. For what I pay, I expect a unit that does what it's supposed to do without me having to unplug it everytime I need groceries. Also the hard breaking point deduction on your safety score is ridiculous as well. Real life doesn't allow for you to start breaking blocks away from every stop.

Pros

Motive is user friendly. I have no complaints with the setup or the ease of use.

Cons

The unit likes to start itself and mess up the hours I have accumulated for my 34 hr resets or even my 10 hr off times after driving my shift. I don't know if I just managed to receive a damaged unit or what . If it just happened once, I could believe that maybe I forgot to set it properly, but after that I made certain it was on the correct setting.

Pros

My experience with motive formally known as keep trucking. I have been with keep trucking such conception I have endured the growing pains and although there have been glitches customer service is always manage to fix whatever problem they were experiencing. Sometimes the companies want to put the blame on the drivers it’s actually not their fault which has nothing to do with motive I would just motive to anybody that has common sense.

Cons

As I said before the company is in the mitts of growing and like every company they have going pains I think the software has become very user-friendly and as I said before if you have a problem they have 24 seven customer service they will address the problem immediately no problem there

### "Customer service is no good"

Customer service reps are hard to understand due to them not speaking clear English.

Pros

I liked the app and how easy it was to access everything.

Cons

I disliked the gas card. You have to pay it back every other day instead at the end of the week.

### "mixed bag"

sold company less tha a month after renewing my "subscription" and Motive will not refund any of the unused "subscription" . So the low scores are a reflection of the ethics of this comapany

Pros

the logbook features i liked and it was fairly easy to edit thingswhen needed. Some features needed a litlle more explanation

Cons

Just be aware of when the yearly "subscription" comes due, I sold the company less than a month after the subscriotion was paid for the next yeaar and they refuse to give any rebate of the unused portion

### "Our Motive experience"

We have trouble with locations, seems slow to track. We cannot read the bill of ladings that are sent through Motive and sometimes they don't even show up on our side of the program. Technical support is very fast to help with the problems but just can't tell me why I am having that problem.

Pros

Access to logs instantly to correct or prevent violations real time.

Cons

Does not keep real time. Open a truck for GPS and it is not showing where the truck actually is.

### "Subsurface, Inc Review"

The overall experience has been great so far. One of our key points in looking for a new ELD provider was customer service and Keep Trucking has been great so far. We also like that the product is so simple that we can install the equipment and provision it ourselves. With other products it was hard to find a time when the technician would be available the same time the truck was available.

Pros

For us it's all about value for our money and ease of use. The Keep Trucking software is very easy to use, and we like how it gives the visual of an actual logbook on the screen.

Cons

It's not really a con, but migrating from a platform that's been used for years to something new involved a small learning curve.

### "Device not reliable all of the time"

Paid for a full year of basic ELD service this year, optioned to add IFTA mileage reporting to help keep up with IFTA tax reporting started getting monthly bills for this service. IFTA tracking quit working a week before filing date leaving with no data to complete IFTA filing service was out for Appx. 2 months, I complained and got around $2.00 refund for loss of service. This is the second device replacement in 3 years, besides that I have no complaints.

Pros

It keeps up with my hours of service on a daily basis

Cons

Stops working sometimes when there is a heavy rain. Mileage tracking completely quit working for 2 months. Disconnects from truck periodically.

Really frustrating, when you call for any issue, most of the times is very hard to understand the representative heavy accent. I speak Spanish too and its the same case.

Pros

Overall, friendly interface but it could be better.

Cons

The ELD and Software constantly have issues and faults.

It started out very positive during our onboarding period, but once we were dished to to general service, we've been passes from rep to rep. To make matters worse, every call is new to the rep, they don't seem able to track us as a customer or our history. I've been trying to get a defective ELD replaced for 3 months. I am sure my next call will be a total do over - again.

Pros

Covers all the bases for our needs. Ease of use.

Cons

No complaints regarding software. Hardware has been our issue.

It is a good easy to use product and is trouble free with good customer service.

Cons

The dashcam could be up graded coz there’s a difference between travelling highways amd city operations and following too close is an issue. In the city we have to keep it tight to be safe.

### "Too early to tell"

Experience has been pleasant aside from the payments which I think are on the high side but I am not the most experience guy out here either.

Pros

So far so good. It was not entirely plug and play there were a few not so easy to figure out steps to set up but once done it works just fine. Have not had a chance to use it yet though as to no fault of KeepTruckin my truck is been in shop since I bought it for minor issues and may have one large issue to be found.

Cons

Only thing so far is the inspections. Seems I have to do an inspection report for the off duty days before continuing even when I am logging off duty. It may be something I am doing or not doing but I have not figured it out and will eventually call and find out if there is a remedy.

I like the fact that the company had been established for a while and the equipment and options were advanced compared to others.

### "Mapping and history "

Having the cameras integrated works well for history as well as incident management

Cons

On the mobile app the history does not link with the mapping. Frustrating to use on the mobile device

Have enjoyed using Keep Trucking software and will continue to use it.

Pros

I like this software for the ease of installation and use. The software is user friendly. Customer service is friendly and easy to work with. They are happy to help with any issues you may have.

Cons

The mileage tracking could be a bit better. I have had an issues with the mileage tracker not keeping or having the right mileage and/or states driven thru for the IFTA tax use. Had to call about this issues so therefore we use and compare the mileage tracker on Keep Trucking with another GPS in truck.

After reading about the Keep Trucking software decided to purchase the product for my company use. Have been very happy with the software and the customer service I have received.

### "Truckers beware of this unethical business "

Be very careful with this company, once you signed up there is no way you can get out. The seller told me on the phone that the contact would be for 12 months, and he would send me documents to sign for 36 months, I signed, my mistake for not reading small letter. I have never used this service and I have to pay monthly for 36 months. So I called many times and no one gave me a clear answer. Today I was finally able to contact the cancellation department directly and there is nothing I can do but continue to pay for 3 years. The reason I never used this service is because after I paid for it, they told me that they don't have equipment available to send me, that I have to wait and wait more weeks until they have the equipment. I need to start as soon as possible, so I pay another company: TopTrucking!!!!!! highly recommended👍

Cons

The cord from the plug in to the ELD unit is way too big. It's like having an extension running across my dash.

### "Motive Review from Trucking Company in SC"

Initially I enjoyed using motive, it was accurate and very useful. I did not have an issue until my gateway stopped powering up and returning data. For the past 2 months I have not been able to use Motive, and the support teams are taking their time troubleshooting my issue. I am still paying for service and got nothing in return. Poor communication via email, and over the phone. I am looking for other options.

Pros

Easy to use, Mobile app is friendly for our drivers.

Cons

Poor Customer support. My gateway device has been broken for 2 months, and between the broken emails and poor communication with the support and engineering team, I am looking for another GPS company that will ensure that my device is working.
