Compared with a few other software providers and liked the functionality of Keep Truckin the best. Several or the other companies have fallen by the wayside. Keep Truckin keeps on rollinin. Pros Product is simple to use. It is a BYOD program. Updates are easy to install. I se the basic features to minimize the cost. Cons Being a small company, I have to pay for the service annually. Would prefer to pay quarterly. Some of the functionality was removed from service then added back for a higher fee. Alternatives considered [The Rand Platform](https://www.capterra.com/p/90012/IntelliRoute/) Reason for choosing Motive Keep Truckin allowed for BYOD. Others inclued a device for a monthly fee. Pros I love the mileage and fuel feature which aids and my quarterly reports. Cons The dash cameras that we ordered. It does not preform as expected. Sometimes to reach some specific departments take forever. The maps give location and even truck speed and the traffic alerts are a nice touch. The alert feature gives notice of events to email that allows more monitoring in the job of unsafe behavior or even arrival to location. Keeps track of driving behavior that is a helpful tool to prevention. Cons The disconnects are a problem. Blue tooth disconnects does not give alert to driver. My call from Motive was returned quickly. I was provided with a product demo and all of my questions were answered. Pros I love that with the product, I know where my drivers are and how long they have sat idle. I love that I can send the customer a link and let them know exactly where the driver is. I love the ability to get a response or a copy of a needed video rather quickly. Cons I wish that I could see what was going on from the drivers view in video form, not just a photo when i refresh the main screen. Pros We enjoy using Keep trucking app to help save on paper waste by doing things electronically. As well as it is super easy to use for our employees. We are able to track where and what time our trucks are on the road as well as monitor the way our employees are driving. It is super handy on the go! No need to find a pen :) All logs can be submitted to managers and MTO which is also a really cool feature. Cons Cons, Sometimes the plug can be unplugged ( not very secure) and thee truck will not be reading the drivers movements and we will have to go back and fix the logs. Also, even when you ARE not using the truck you still have to sign your logs in order for your drivers score to be recorded properly. Love the 24 hour support/ Pros Easy to use. Easy to change between hours of service used. Cons The eld I had prior to this one, had a distance value and max speed setting for the yard move mode. If any of these was reached, it automatically put it in driving mode. Helps for when I forget to manually disable yard move. Wish your system provided this setting. Pros I use to like that it had the option to compare elogs with issues and logs with corrections and the driver was able to see both and accept the updated version or decline. I like the fact that is easy and quick to pair and connect. Cons No updates or notification of the updates and the potential benefits of it or training so allow every driver to be onboard. Cons There isn't anything that I particularly don't care for or dislike. I wish that the Keeptruckin app had a scanner on it, allowing the operators to capture better pictures of their BOLs when they're uploaded. You can set up who has what type of access so they can only see what information they need to see. Programme is designed for US Primarily and Cdn customers are secondary. Pros The cost of the product is excellent - ease of installation is an asset. Cons There are issues with the internet/hotspot systems. When the driver is over on their hotspot the logs no longer update to the system. Drivers during a routine stop will get fines. The alert systems need serious upgrading. messages about driver/interface issues do not provide alerts therefore administrators cannot 'catch' the issues while they happen. We like to use the loadboard. The fuel reporting really helps with IFTA also. Pros Tracking the drivers and checking their driving. Also, the we like to use the loadboard. Cons The cost is more than we would like since we are such a small company. But with that said, the GPS service makes is a little more worth it.
