### "Best In Class for Telematics"

Motive is a best-in-class telematics system for any organization that has vehicles on the roadway. This system allows us to coach poor performing drivers. Making them safer drivers while reducing accident frequency. Saving lives, saving accident injuries, and saving money is exactly what this system does.

Pros

Motive's ability to seamlessly integrate with our transportation management system is amazing! The tracking and monitoring ability that is provided by Motive, gives our organization real-time information as to where all of our vehicles are located at any given time. Yes, it even shows the vehicles traveling down the roadway in real-time. The monitoring system allows us the ability to coach drivers based on an actual scoring system that is provided by the telematics of the vehicle. Seeing (with video) how your drivers actually drive is so important. Drivers with poor driving habits are allowed to be identified and coached. This gives transportation risk management a whole new perspective allowing you to reduce incident frequencies.

Cons

It would be great if Motive could redesign how videos are catalogued when a driver creates an event. The ultimate benefit of this system is to eliminate risky drivers and reduce accident frequencies. Navigating around in this part of the system is a little "clunky" compared to some of the other telematics providers.

### "NOTHING BUT CHASING PROBLEMS"

NOTHING BUT CHASING PROBLEMS. We have implemented motive products on all 265 of our fleet vehicles. They have been giving us nothing but problems, weather that's flagging our drivers for "speeding (incorrect speed data on their software), or missing dash cam footage of multiple accidents. Its really unacceptable. I am so annoyed i went with this company and implemented them for our whole fleet. They are a true start up and all their "customer support" seems like AI responses. They dont fix anything we ask them to fix. We are considering breaking our contract and changing vendors because it is so bad. Creates EXTREME administrative burden on me/my team to even be able to use this product that we pay over $100k/year for.

Pros

The dashboard visual is decent. the physical equipment looks decent and the install is fairly easy but thats about it.

Cons

Their software is very glitchy, customer support is generic/AI. This company truly operates like a startup like they dont know how to operate at scale.

### "Great reports, but file download is inconvenient"

Pros

There are many types of reports and they are useful. For example, Activity report has Summary and Detail. You can see total mileage by date and period. It is very easy to check driving miles and idle time when you calculating the driver pay.

Cons

Drivers upload log sheets as documents. When I download them directly, it creates a PDF file. The first page is a useless header. If I want the image only, I have to click and download from the inside. It's not convenient.

horrible experiences. 2 accidents (motive said didnt happen) one head on and one rollover pricing is 500 more to use your old equipment that didnt show the accidents

used to be good customer service in tech support Now 24 hrs to get any solutions if that happens at all... Only good if in cell service email ranges

Cons

now all the departments dont talk to each other. Price gouging Managers dont do anything to help the problem they only do NEW pricing

Phenomenal experience. Sales and the support team are second to none. I highly recommend motive if your are a budiness looking to increase your safety program

It's an all in one solution for our fleet. Eld, timecards and cameras have help our fleet. Our safety program has had decrease in incidents.

Cons

Searching video and only can view up to certain amount. Would like to be able to view whole drive.

Motive has made us champions of road safety by giving the most impeccable experience in monitoring our vehicles health. It allows our drivers to be super alert and vigilant on the road by giving them clear visibility all around them. Motive also allows to constantly monitor our vehicles for maintenances helping us avoid inconvenience of vehicle breakdowns.

Pros

Motive has very advanced AI powered monitoring features that help us to gain clear view of our vehicles, their equipments and their health status. It has efficient vehicle tracking features that allows us to keep tabs with the location of our vehicles at all times. Motive provide our drivers with deep view of the road conditions helping them to stay alert and avoid accidents. It also provides real time view of all activities in the vehicle allowing us to protect the carried goods from theft.

Cons

All aspects about Motive have met our expectations. It has not shown us any weaknesses or given us any reasons to hate anything about it.

Pros

Everything in one place. Having ELD logs, GPS tracking, safety alerts, and driver data all in the same dashboard makes it easier to manage drivers and stay compliant.

Cons

Some of the settings or reports can be harder to locate at first . sometimes delays in syncing data between drivers and the dashboard.

Horrible we sold a truck 2 weeks after our renewal and they will not refund the charges on the remainder of the year the eld is not being used

Nothing worst company i have dealt with. The account manager (\[sensitive content hidden\]) would not help or put us through to somebody that could she claimed she was the only one that couldn't help us

The account manager in the billing department. the employees that we dealt with did not help in any way once they steal your money the are done with you and will not help

Very bad company they over charged when you ask for refund they act like stupidity. They stole to me 1 year subscription without use their services.

Horrible they charged to my credit card without authorization. 1 year fee but I don’t use motive logbook.

Bad service the internet has no connection also when you trying to cancel the service they refuse because they want money .

Its been really great and they are always improving and coming up with new features.

Pros

The on time notifications I get when trucks enter restricted toll ways and when we are in an accident Motive sends a quick notification with all the facts we need to proceed with our Safety Team.

Cons

When replaying drivers trips it gives 1 minute replays of a 3 minute request and it would be nice to get it available to rewind or fast forward the request.

Our account representative changed 3 times in almost 6 months. We had an accident with one of our trucks where the camera got destroyed in the wreck. Even after sending the camera in, we still couldn't get the footage.

Ease of tracking drivers and logs. We were able to easily obtain and schedule maintenance records for all vehicles.

Customer service and obtaining footage from accidents.

Motiv made our lives simpler. I would definitely recommend to anyone starting out, as there's a ton of regulations to keep up with, use Motiv to help with your ELD needs, but the IFTA tax portion is a MUST HAVE.

Pros

Motive- Formally Keep Trucking, was a great ELD software to help out drivers stay compliant. Easy view of all clocks from homepage. Reports and logs are easily accessable. Ifta Fuel Tax Reporting made simple.

Cons

Cost. For Mom and Pop trucking companies, it is just another added expense. But to be fair, I don't know what their competitors charge.

Support from Motive has been great. They have good training and technical documentation. Everything works as it should with nice features and reports. No complaints whatsoever.

Pros

We use the Motive Dashcam and Omnicams on our fleet of trucks. There are plenty of features to cover everything needed. What I like best is how easy it is to maintain everything on their website. Finding video clips is very intuitive and having that video documentation is invaluable when needed.

Cons

I haven't really found any negatives so far.

Pros

Easy to edit time when you forget, many times i forget to log my trips but i find easy to edit and get my logs correct.

Cons

Sometimes it disconnects from the unit inside the truck.

Works when it works good, however the customer service is terrible. They will not help you cancel boxes you no longer use

### "Good alternative to the big bulky ELD screens"

I like the motive ELD app is convenient. You don’t have to get a big bulky screen installed in your work truck and the app is very user-friendly. However, the financial tactics could be better. Inform the customer about the lump sum fee instead of telling them great price.

Pros

You can use your cell phone instead of the big clock screen that you had to get installed in your semi truck

Cons

The one thing I don’t like about motive is their financial tactics. They’ll tell you a great price, but they failed to inform you that you have to pay a lump sum fee.

Overall I didn't have many issues , just sometimes when glitches occur and you have to restart.

Pros

Motive is pretty basic and easy to navigate

Cons

Sometimes glitches occur but mainly it works good.

good way to get accurate locations on where my team is at, at all times and gives me location history to better serve our customers

Pros

gives the codes and reasons why truck is acting up

Cons

N/A - at the moment there's nothing i can say i dislike or like lease about it.

Switched from

[Geotab](https://www.capterra.com/p/18289/MyGeotab/)

did not have alot of the functions the Motive has and is more UpToDate.
