It helps us stay compliant with signatures and is very customizable. Pros We love that it can capture electronic signatures, file uploads, and payments in the same form. There's a bit of a learning curve to figure out some of the conditional formatting, but they have a few articles to help (and some templates). Lots of ways to customize the form with themes to fit whatever purpose. Cons For more complex forms (repeating sections), sometimes the export of data is spread over multiple tabs in the csv. This makes it a bit complicated for some of our staff to read. We usually need to manipulate and combine into one tab on spreadsheet. Review Source GMS Githa Maharani S. The forms are easy to build and share while also easy to complete and submit. I espcially appreciate the email confirmation. This eiminates the amount of people trying to confirm their submission was received. Cons That I can't copy sections from one form to another. Sometimes I just want to take one section from another form and not have to copy the whole thing. It has helped me immensely. Pros I like the fact that I can create a form to capture the information I need at any given time. I am a nonprofit magazine publisher, and I use the forms to handle payments for my subscriptions, advertising, and connect with readers with editorial content. It is a versstile tool. Cons I wish that there were more tester options, so that I can test a form to troubleshoot any problems. I also wish that I could see when I can send out renewal notices for my magazine subscribers. The workflow efficiency it has created for our customer service team is amazing! Our staff is continuously asking me, "can we do this" with the forms, and the answer is usually, "yes!" Pros There are so many things! The platform is simple to use for someone new at building forms. Also, there are training videos and webinars available for additional training on some of the more complex features. Cons I don't really have any complaints, but if I had one, I would say that I would sometimes like to be able to speak with technical support rather than email. However, Cognito staff is typically pretty quick to respond, usually the same day as my request so it works out fine. Also, when they email, they can give screen shot examples of how to fix the problem so that is actually a benefit to emailing with them! Review Source AM Amy M. I researched a lot of different platforms when trying to determine which would provide all the features needed. Cognito Forms meets all our needs and then some. I am constantly learning about new things the system will do. Their support team are quick to respond, providing specific instruction with links if applicable, and continue to follow up until you have all the information you need. Pros is a well rounded platform that allows you the flexibility, customization and conditional logic necessary to create forms that will do just about anything you could ever need or imagine. Workflow enables you to automate specific functions. Roles enable you to dictate what fields are visible, required or hidden to specific people. I researched a lot of different platforms before deciding on Cognito Forms. It has truly made our process much more efficient. Cons There are some small features that I would like to see added - undo, copy/paste from other forms, spell check, etc that would just further enhance the platform. These are the only cons I've come across so far. Cons The most secure option for forms is to have everyone, including employees, be users. You can work around this limitation, but it would be elegant to have an inexpensive user option with low level permissions for employees. It would be helpful if allowed images and real-time graphs and chart to be displayed in the confirmation messages. Director Consumer Goods Used the software for: 2+ years ### "A truly amazing tool for building web forms" October 30, 2024 5.0 I’ve used it on two different projects and in both cases it’s been an absolutely spectacular tool to build out complicated areas of the website. It has installed onto both websites. One with Shopify. One was on a custom custom build in both cases super easily without any hassles at all, and it functions as expected, and as intended. The design process is super easy and super intuitive and while there’s a little bit of a learning curve, just figuring out the logic paths once you get that under under control it is super easy to really produce just about any kind of form or interaction that you’re after Pros I like that they take incredibly complex processes like involved forms, multi step forms in forms with complicated workflows and turn it into something that you can design in literally 20 minutes or half an hour, including testing. It’s a really really simple mechanism for producing complicated programming. Cons The navigation can be a little bit clunky. But once you figure it out, it works really really well. It’s just kind of tricky to figure out at first which tabs certain tools and certain processes are hidden under. Certain parts of the process could be more streamlined, but my opinion remains positive and that the platform fulfills the brief well.
