June 25, 2026 5.0 From initial demo call to onboarding, its been a great experience. One of our goals was to launch this without the use of our internal technical team and that was accomplished. Referral Rock supported us throughout the process. We had an internal rewards program and Referral Rock's platform has modernized our rewards program and provided our clients with multiple ways to refer our business to their contacts. Pros The onboarding process was one of the best I've experienced. Our account manager already had a download from our Referral Rock sales representative so we didn't have to repeat things. It was very well organized and after each meeting there was a summary and next steps. Referral Rock supported us in connecting Marketo to Referral Rock via Zapier and helped us through the complex parts. It was a time saver that Referral Rock set-up the emails and landing pages for and we could easily make any minor modifications. Cons I don't really have any major cons. There is a lot of functionality so sometimes it takes me a little time to find where I need to go when I haven't been in the platform in awhile. That said they also have a very good AI chat help that will quickly tell you where you need to look. There's glitches and broken functionality everywhere. It will likely work for what we're hoping to do, but I'm disapointed in the overall experience. Pros I interviewed a lot of referral softwares before going with this one and am relatively happy with my choice. It has good features for the price point. The sales team was helpful and awesome. In general, it probably will work for our purposes. That being said, it falls short of the professionalism and "finished" product I was hoping for. Cons I feel like this software is a bit antequated in the design and is overall in development stage. There are several places where functionality just isn't quite seamless - I can ALMOST do what I need to do, but not quite. Features such as limited custom fields, awkward formatting, lacking conversion script instructions, etc made the set up process frustrating. I switched to this software so I wouldn't have to take so many shortcuts with our referral program and I feel like I'm having to hack my way into getting it to do what I need it to do. I've submitted over 20 feature requests since starting to use the software just a week ago. We'll see if they make adjustments as we go on. Review Source Ryan S. Extraordinary account manager and technical support which is extremely rare in the SaaS world of today. Pros The thing that stands out about Referral Rock is the support, and particularly from the technical standpoint. In my many years of working with SaaS companies I can't remember any with better technical knowledge and bright thinking right at the account representative level, with developers ready to assist as the backup. We have had three account representatives in our time with Referral Rock and each shocks me with how outstanding they are. Cons Really I don't have any significant drawbacks or downsides to report. Our support person has answered all questions in a quick and timely manner and has really been able to help us make changes and understand how to use Pros As an admin, RR is great for managing and tracking referrals and affiliate data. I enjoy being able to keep up with all details in real-time and seeing referrals come in for our affiliates. As an affiliate, I enjoy the features RR offers when allowing me to see my referral data and all info I need to be a successful affiliate right on my dashboard as soon as I log in to the portal. Cons As an admin, RR is very difficult to navigate. I struggled to understand where to find settings changes, how to set up the program and save edits I made to our program, among other things. The different options RR offers are great, but I found it extremely difficult to navigate and understand as a potential first-time affiliate admin user. Pros We needed an easy-to-use affiliate management and payout software that integrated seamlessly with our CRM, HubSpot. We've loved our experience so far and it's been easy for our affiliates to use! Cons Because we are new to the system, it's sometimes hard to find the settings we're looking for within the system. Also, I wish it were possible for our affiliates to update all of their personal info in their account settings (such as email and Paypal address). Other than that, we are loving it! Pros We chose Referral Rock for multiple reasons: 1) it integrated with Shopify and HubSpot, 2) the automation and management of payouts, 3) the personalized dashboard for each member. Cons We have not used it long enough to fully capture the cons, however it is currently meeting our needs. The only features I wish were incorporated is the ability to customize / only offer certain rewards to specific members, and some method to indicate if a member has completed the W-9 process. Their integrations, their obsession to be on the leading edge of their niche, the overall customizability, and flexibility, WITHOUT being locked into a long-term contract. I think what's overall best about my experience is that they give you a 15-day trial to literally try almost every feature. Not only that, they came alongside (While still being a trial customer = no money paid yet) and they try to first understand your objectives in detail and then point you to the proper steps along the way. They're proving their worth before they ask you to pay a penny. I run my business the same way. I like to test EVERYTHING and they allowed that. Beyond that, when I did dig in and tell them what I want, they had the features and flexibility to come satisfy nearly every little complex detail I needed for my referral program. They even had features to accomplish things that I hadn't even thought of yet. PLUS, every time I had a question, they were on it or finding an answer. It's like they wanted me setup and running before the trial even approached expiration and I applaud them for that. It's the best way you can earn your potential customers business. And they were never pushy! (If anything, I was being too pushy.). In all, I saved thousands by not needing to build an app or sign up for a long-term contract. Cons The ONLY thing I would like to see is an app for people to download and keep logged in on. But I'm sure that will come with time. In our early testing and surveying, only 3% of people said they would download an app, so we scrapped the idea. That was 2 years ago, so it may be different now. We'll do another survey. There are many nobs and dials to turn for a effective referral program, most of our time has been spent building out these features. Once there are so many, it becomes more difficult to navigate.
