I have been using varying levels of Getting Things Done for almost 10 years now. I would say that I am a mid-range adopter of GTD. About once a year I still listen to \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] audiobook on GTD in order to remember all the nuances! I switched to FacileThings from another platform that went defunct. I was very pleased to see how well it worked for me, despite learning the new interactions.

Pros

This product has helped me significantly over the years. There is a bit of a learning curve to using the product, based around Getting Things Done methodology, but once learned it is amazing. The best part is that there is a great deal of flexibility in how you use it. If you are a staunch GTD person it is great. If you choose to not necessarily use all the features, it still works well to stay organized.

Cons

It is difficult to indicate a feature that is least liked. However, if I were to pick anything, I'd say its the mobile app. I have still found that the website version is still the best way to interact on a mobile device.

Reasons for choosing FacileThings

I still use Evernote, and it happens to integrate well with FacileThings. I felt that Office365 did not have the features that support GTD methodology. I also wanted a system that was hosted outside of my employer for a few reasons.

Despite the flaw with less than perfect mobile app, I find the app to be the only true tool to implement GTD system electronically.

Pros

It closely reflects all principles of \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] Getting Things Done productivity system. It covers both all 5 steps of GTD (Capture, Clarify, Organize, Reflect, Engage) and Horizons of Focus (Purpose, Visions, Goals, Areas, Projects). You can filter all available tasks based on time estimates, energy levels, goals, areas of responsibility, urgency and focus. There are two special workflows: for clarifying and weekly review. Analytics is an added bonus.

Cons

There is only one weak point in this SaaS: the mobile app is functional but not really pretty and UI is a bit difficult to navigate (too many taps).

It provides perfect structure for well-designed productivity.

I have tried two times to integrate the app in my life and use it as a tool for implementing GTD. It has so many features and is complete as a system, but I manage to get behind. My work is not every day in front of a PC, so I thought the mobile app would do. But at the time, it was just starting its development, therefore, if one day I didn't show up at the PC, the next day I had to update my tasks or workflow, and that caused me to end up "working for the app" to maintain it up to date.

Pros

It took my attention when claiming to use the GTD Method. And it is true. It follows all the principles and has a pure approach, without adding other techniques or methods in the essence of the system.

Cons

I found the weekly reports didn't added as much value, measuring the amount of task donde and comparing with week before, as if the focus was only to accomplish tasks rather than having a system to have everything on "control". The onboarding can me more pedagogic, it depended on me to read and understand the articles of the tutorial.

Pros

Are you a GTD practitioner? Everything in FacileThings is designed to be used by the rules of David Allen's Getting Things Done methodology for personal effectivity. FacileThings have everything you need: an inbox, contexts to organize your next actions, projects end even a review mode. The interface is designed to make you and help you follow the 5 steps of GTD.

Cons

It's not designed with extra bells and whistles not present in the GTD methodology. That's good if you are learning the methodology, but it will not fit you if you are into the wrong mindset of "adapting GTD rules to me".
