### "Good Product but Difficult Onboarding and Limited Customization"

We signed up and began our onboarding based on a lot of assurances of what the platform could do. Unfortunately the devil was in the details. While we have some specific needs in regards to invoicing multiple subscriptions to a single client, we were assured this was possible. Once we began onboarding we hit a number of major roadblocks. We ended up having to write numerous scripts on our own to try and import our data, and even then we were unable to get the system to do what we needed without major changes to our system. Also, looking back it seems that the sales team wasn't aligned with the actual product very well. We were sold on the new event-based billing, but the first thing they did when we onboarded was told us not to use that and use something else. Also, after we decided to suspend our onboarding when we realized the work effort was going to exceed what we had scheduled, we got the run-around from the billing person who wouldn't originally suspend it until we had another set of calls. I understand wanting to keep the account, but I was being very clear about my intentions and just wanted to suspend it while we figured out a revised strategy. Overall I don't want to throw them under the bus too much, we really enjoyed working with our onboarding specialist. I just think that if you have a non-standard billing model you should double check if this will really fit your needs.

Pros

The user interface is clean and thought out, it meets most of the needs I had. They also have some interesting capabilities that are being released like event-based billing. Also their API is pretty close to complete.

Cons

Limited customization of the capabilities of the platform. Any kind of hierarchical invoicing (sending multiple invoices to a client) or billing for multiple subscriptions gets incredibly complex and hard to manage. Customization of invoices is also pretty limited.

For the majority of the time we have used the software, we have not had too many issues. Customer Support has been excellent in helping out.

Pros

I love the clean and easy on the eyes layout. The statement download functionality is simple to use and is relatively easy for my clients to log into and pay their invoices.

Cons

I am not a fan of the filtered view as there is no way to save any views (unpaid, Past Due, etc.). I always have to rebuild the search every time.

Pros

I loved the reporting they provided. You could log in and see your MTD MRR and basically any stats on that same level in graph form.

Cons

They didn't have a great way for enterprises to track the parent/child relationship. It can get messy if you don't leave very detailed notes.

It has been alright thus far. I do not find the UI that easy to navigate, but support is always there to answer questions and help me out.

Pros

Customer support is on point! Very helpful.

Cons

MANY of our payments do not go through. They keep on getting declined. When I ask why by support (who is great), they say it could be for various reasons and to check with the gateway (Stripe). Just a pain to have to jump into another application everytime a payment is declined, which is very frequent. Might as well just move everything to Stripe.

### "Excellent Tool for GAAP and Non-GAAP SaaS Reporting"

SaaSOptics is the best tool for subscription metrics and revenue/deferred revenue calculations that we've come across in the marketplace. It combines reliable GAAP calculations needed for financial statements with a wide range of Non-GAAP Subscription metrics. Easy to implement and plug into other cloud-based tools at a very low TCO. Customer Support has always been excellent, with prompt and thoughtful responses. Highly recommended.

Pros

Approach to calculations (decoupling of invoicing from rev rec), robust reporting suite, continued evolution of product, customer support.

Cons

Not much, can sometimes be tough to run complex reports or imports, but customer support has been able to help with this. Integrations with NetSuite/Intacct not yet available, but those are in the works.

### "SaasOptics - awesome subscription management solution! "

We are a rapidly growing enterprise SAAS company with 100s of customers. We plan to remain on Quickbooks for a while, and were searching for a comprehensive subscription management, billing and rev rec solution. So glad we found Saasoptics. Very clear documentation including videos, comprehensive feature set that covers all contract scenarios, and workflows that make sense for the business. We have been very happy and feel well supported too. We have the solution integrated with Salesforce and Quickbooks. I would highly recommend Saasoptics to anyone evaluating a billing solution.

Pros

\- Feature set supports all contract scenarios - Easy to get under the hood and understand how it works, builds confidence in numbers - Integrated with Quickbooks and SFDC - Rev rec is rock solid

Cons

I'd love to see more robust renewals management integration with SFDC. Looking forward to seeing the April release that enhances that functionality.

Making the purchasing of our product as simple as possible.

Pros

The APIs and webhooks are extremely powerful. We have been able to connect our platform and enhanced our customer satisfaction. For the most part they are well documented and easy to implement

Cons

The Webhook documentation seems a bit outdated and discovery of all the options and values can be a bit by trial and error. The portal can be a bit cumbersome. Sometimes taking many clicks to accomplish a task.

difficult implementation; support often does not thoroughly investigate issues and relies heavily on customer to figure out the problem; unable to choose which QuickBooks items sync over; Avalara integration is clunky

It's been great! I've had to reach out to support a number of times and they're really great to work with.

Pros

The interface is really easy to navigate and the CTAs are clear and void of accounting jargon.

Cons

We work with customers from all over the world that often request various things be visible on their statements. Form example, European customers require a VAT number. It's difficult to customize statements and get certain bits of information to be visible on them.

### "First 45 days of software for new hire"

I have only been with the company using this software for 45 days. I have found it the system to be good for deferred revenue and detailing contracts for our company. I find it hard to change the invoice numbers to what we have invoiced through our accounting system. I also find it cumbersome to go to the search option or customer each time you want to find a "sub" customer. For instance, level one may be Mickey Mouse for a customer, then the name of the next level is Minnie Mouse. These two customers are one in the same and should flow up to Mickey Mouse. It may just be because I am a new user or our system was not set up to do it that way. I have found that I can change something on one customer but not another. I have not called customer support yet so I did not score that option.

Overall I have had a great experience using and learning Chargify it is certainly a step in the right direction for business software needs.

Pros

Its light weight, and responsive, More features than needed to get the job done, and the interface is very user friendly and easy to learn and use.

Cons

it does slow down form time to time but it is really very rare and when it does slow down its for very short time frames, overall it is very reliable.

Pros

It allows us to sell by subscription...that is the only thing that is good.

Cons

We sell our software by subscription, and were told your software is available. Our customers hate, and we are likely loosing a lot of them, because this is a 2 step process....you set up their account and then we set up their container in the cloud.

Reason for choosing Maxio

Our CTO suggested it, but looking at alternatives now.

Pros

Their customer service is great - the team is knowledgeable and responsive. The product seems to work well, although there was a bit of a learning curve at the start.

Cons

Probably the price and lack of comprehensive reports that go across currencies - although the recent release of an MRR report across sites is a definite step in the right direction.

Pros

Chargify is a great tool for managing subscription. Overall very user-friendly.

Cons

Available reports don't meet my needs. Some things missing include: - Ability to aggregate subscriber info across all stores - Detailed email reporting metrics for each email type (opens, open rate, click rate, etc.) - Trial conversion rate (how many people who sign up for a trial convert to a paid subscription?) - Custom reporting, in general

Chargify makes billing a breeze, and takes a huge load of work off the shoulders of the team that handles transactions.

Pros

Chargify is powerful and easy to use, allowing us to set up billing plans and cycles for clients with ease

Cons

It can be a bit difficult to set up strange payment cycles for fluctuating bills, but that's really more a problem with having non-uniform billing than anything with the software

I personally have only been using it for 6 months and am still getting my head around some of the features. The help component is ok but it would be great to have somewhere i could have an overview of the product rather than waiting for a colleague to help.

Pros

Ease of entering new customers, The reporting allows me to find the information I need easily

The inability to change items like an invoice if there is a mistake made

Solid. I don't worry about our auto-billing as Chargify deals with this for me. One less thing to worry about.

Pros

Straightforward. Does what we want for client billing. Reliable and cannot remember an issues where transactions did not go through due to an issue with Chargify.

Cons

Not much to say on this. Perhaps not being able to refund transactions older then the past 3.

Their system is well-organized and they have excellent customer support. They also have integrations to various third-party software such as Intercom, Zapier, etc.

Cons

Clean, clear, and under control

Pros

Intuitive user interface and overall design, with a complete solution for my needs.

Cons

Maybe that there aren't as many safety prompts for administrators who make mistakes selecting 'yes' to things too quickly. A few "are you sure?" dialogue boxes would do those admins a bit of good I think.
