Pretty sub par. After over a year we still cannot use the product as it really wasn't designed for our type of business. The worst part is we had a weekly meeting with our technical rep and that was just taken away from us, just as we were starting to make progress.

Pros

The ability of the software to prorate revenue over the billing period is nice.

Cons

The product is Inflexible. It cannot handle one off contract requirements.

### "Chargify for B2B SaaS platform"

Needed a subscription management system for our B2B SaaS and looked at a number of options including Zoura. Initially launched with AUD and later added USD which is when we realised the multi-currency support was very complicated. Integration via APIs was straight forward and the administration portal is very easy to use.

Pros

Wide range of features and capabilities. Relatively easy to set up and manage.

Cons

Handling of multiple currencies is very clunk - need to set up separate accounts and then duplicate all of our products for each currency rather than having a single set of products with multiple currencies.

### "Problematic and not intuitive"

We were looking to move into a different product for ages until it was decided to completely discontinue the self-paid product and then we didn't need to use Chargify anymore (it was one of the factors for the discontinuation of self-paid).

Pros

The CS is great and very responsive. Answer within minutes and are friendly, which is a huge help.

Cons

I do not have another direct competitor to compare Chargify to, but found it not at all user friendly (the way to navigate payment information and client details), not customisable or adjustable, in terms of messaging and especially in terms of reporting or bringing the vital information upfront. One particular example, Chargify doesn't record when a user cancels a product, this the only way to know on Chargify if the user is still subscribed is to wait until their renewal date and see if they renew to the same amount as before. Fair enough if that was incorrect set up from our side, but then who ever was setting it up, needed much much more onboarding. The CS team what uses it was also complaining a lot about the (lack of) capabilities of Chargify.

Very great tool to automate billing and revenue accounting

Pros

Handles rev rec seamlessly, great for B2B billing, super customizable, syncs with salesforce extremely well

Cons

Doesn't have a great customer facing billing or purchasing option, some of the ARR calculations can be a little wonky

Pros

You can create products and coupons yourself, and the process is pretty straightforward. This gives my team the capacity and autonomy to use Chargify in multiple ways + to implement our team's requests quickly + efficiently.

Cons

There are some limitations on how much you can do (like customizing the external pages that clients see). We have to do this through a Chargify customer service representative. However, all the representatives we have worked with have always been very pleasent + helpful.

### "Huge Time Saver but Could Use Some Reporting Tweaks"

I use Saasoptics everyday and while it has greatly reduced time spent in my department on billing processes we still do not use it as our main finance reconciliatory system due some small differences in our accounting methods with those built into the system (365 day schedule vs 360, no accounting for leap years, no customization of rev rec periods besides the built in choices).

Pros

The billing functions are intuitive and a time saver.

Cons

It is not fully compatible with our tax system when synced to QB which causes myself or people on my team to go back into every invoice generated in QB to re-save and create a tax line.

Pros

Nice UI and easy to set up products and coupons. Integrates with SalesForce and other 3rd party programs

Cons

Cannot pull modified reports. It's all or nothing. Makes it very hard to audit and find information easily. The charge descriptions are also not very clear and leads to a lot of investigation when there should not have to be any.

Pros

I didn't choose this software, my employer did. But while I've never taken them up on training, I've been very easily able to navigate through the program and do what I need to do. It's very easy, I like the look and feel of everything and I've never had a problem. Whenever I needed it, support staff have been easy and quick to reach/respond and they've successfully helped me every time. If I ran my own business, I'd probably use Chargify for my online billing needs.

Cons

Nothing really. Haven't ever had an issue.

Pros

It was a developers dream to integrate with. We had it up and running on our saas product in a few days and its been error free since. Don't even think twice and pick it!

Cons

Nothing! Every email to support was answered quickly, our developers say its been the easiest integration, and customers never had any issues with billing.

We needed a new billing provider when our old one shut down. Chargify quickly and easily filled that role with additional features and functionality as part of the switch!

Pros

Chargify quickly and easily processes or recurring billing and allows end users an easy way to update billing details directly, which is important in a world so concerned with privacy.

Cons

Bit of a learning curve for discounts, coupons, and other special functionality, but most of it is covered sufficiently in the documentation.

Pros

I am so happy that a customer success team has been added. This has been so important as we build our dashboards and reports that we use on a weekly/monthly basis.

Cons

The implementation and training was good but there was a lot I didn't learn that I didn't realize until after implementation was complete. There are a lot of features but I often have trouble figuring out where to go or what reports I need.

Amazing company, great people, great product.

Pros

Loved that we were able to automate so much of our account signup and component usage via their API. The product also takes you through a decent workflow to help streamline your billing and helps you make better decisions on things like pricing and dunning.

Cons

The UI could be faster. I find the pages reload pretty often. We also had to write our own REST API client. It would have been nice to have one already built.
