I use Chargify when I need to update the payment method on file for a customer. When the payment is unsuccessful and they have a pass due balance. There is no real true way to take partial payments or other types of payments. Lots of business owners in the pharmacy industry like to pay with checks or ACH methods but Chargify does not have this option. So cards get compromised in this industry often and owners would rather use other forms of payment.

Pros

That it will automatically retry to charge the card everyday until payment is resolved.

Cons

It is not very customizable. One side of my company uses it and it doesn't give the customers other options to pay. While the other side of my company is more traditional in payment methods and accepts them all except cash.

Customized subscriptions, email reminders to clients for payment, metric and analytic features for revenue tracking, client information database for payment types/methods.

Pros

I love the different subscription features and being able to customize them to our business model as well as the email setting they've set up to remind our clients when it's time to pay.

Cons

There are some subscriptions where we wish we could customize them further with some minor details for the price that we pay for to have Chargify each month.

Chargify has made it super easy for me to manage our users subscription payments by integrating with a lot of the other programs that I use on a daily basis.

Pros

It's very user friendly, I'm fluent in it's use after just 6 months and I've had very little guidance from others.

Cons

Can't think of anything at this moment.

Pros

I love how easy it is to navigate through the software. It's incredibly user friendly.

Cons

When it comes to payments, I noticed that its a little confusing how you've set up the "transaction" tab. I wish that it was a little bit more simplistic and easier to use.

Pros

I love the fact that my customers can manage their own plan through a custom portal which makes our company look highly professional compared to our competitors and cuts down on hours spent on customer service

Cons

My only feature request would be to make option for single charges (non subscription sales) and my only negative feedback would be pricing - I'm always having to justify keeping the software to my business partners because of it's cost, would prefer more of a cost per subscriber or even transaction as compared to a high flat rate cost per month

The onboarding team was amazing. They would hop on a call anytime we had questions and walk us through how to use the system for our needs.

Cons

Wasn't meant for what we are using it for so we had a few challenges but not to the fault of Chargify.

The ability to handle recurring billing. All subscription management is totally taken care of by Chargify and it’s easy to jump in and manage.

Cons

Some of the reporting features could be better. It would be great to do more cohort reporting.

Whenever I get caught or need help, Customer Service is amazing. They always get back to me within a day, leave detailed instructions, and are willing and available for a quick call if I'm still having trouble. Any difficulties I have with the product are well made up for by the amazing customer services.

Pros

I like the organization of invoices, reporting, and the opportunity to create customizable dashboards and reports.

Cons

It's very involved, lots of repetition in tab names and dropdown names, and the syncing back and forth between Quickbooks is very manual.

Pros

I like the UI/UX which is very user friendly.

Cons

I hope Chargify can improve the data accuracy on the graph that shown on the dashboard. Once upon a time, I found out that the actual number of daily subscribers didn't match with the graph. It is hard to tell by glance. And the customer representatives told me that it takes a while to fix it. But no one notify me after the bug is being fixed.

Pros

The ability to pro-rate charges is very helpful, we were not able to do this in our old system. The ability to add different coupons to line items is also helpful.

Cons

The transferring of our previous database has been very difficult. The upload template doesn't always work perfectly and the process of adding a subscription involves a lot of steps.

We've been using Chargify for the last few years. Rarely have an issue with it, and the support is always very responsive if we have a question. The data/metrics section is pretty helpful and suits our needs

Cons

The user interface is pretty clunky, and the software is missing some obvious needs (scheduling a charge in advance, ect.).

SaaSOptics was already in use when I joined the company. It was very easy to be trained on and whenever I had questions, customer support was incredibly helpful.

Pros

Very easy to use and great support

Cons

Revenue being based on days instead of months. It's easy to adjust, but time consuming when having to adjust revenue for several txns.
