Limited functions with subscriptions, id like to have the subscriptions go up in price after one year without having the first year be charged as a trial. I hear from our development team it has limited functionality

It's easily scalable, so perfect for a growing company. It's really increased productivity and was simple to setup.

Pros

Great product. Gives me the ability to easily access customer info, income, sign-ups and cancellations. Easy out of the box setup too.

Cons

Would be nice to go back and edit invoices even after they've been created. Would also like to see reporting with more detail and more flexibility.

The implementation was not smooth because customer support was not good, but once we figured it out, the transactions loaded pretty smoothly. Ongoing, the system has been easy to work with. There are some addition reports that would be nice to have.

It is a great way to keep track of our customers and find information on their account. I use it daily for my customer check ins.

Pros

I appreciate the ease of use of the icons and how customers are grouped/easily accessed. All information can be found by a click.

Cons

The dashboard shows recent activity (which is still great because it shows who is up for renewal), but I would like it to show tasks I have personally set.

Our experience has been excellent!!

Pros

This app is easy to use and with a little training (provided by our great CSR!), we were self-sufficient in no time. Had it linked to our website and tested very quickly. Configuration changes were easy as we got it working exactly as we wanted.

Cons

Don't really have any complaints. There was a learning curve, but that is to be expected with any new system.

\- Intuitive system for tracking individual payments and payees - Covers all the functions needed for day-to-day payment management - Super-customizable - Activity tracking is very helpful

Cons

\- Wish it were easier to collapse and move categories, for example when deciding to merge or cross-reference different products - A bit of a learning curve to understand all the features

Pros

Along with my clients, we were looking for some alternatives to Chargebee and we encountered Chargify. It was like hitting the jackpot - it works wonders with recurring billing and helped us decrease churn.

Cons

You need some time for a solid onboarding, but Chargify has amazing customer support.

Pros

The software seems intuitive. The sales team was friendly and reasonably helpful.

Cons

The support team has been nightmarish to work with, I've been rerouted between several different support personnel (sometimes on the same day) for a single billing inquiry while continuing to receive automated communications about the issue. It seems that the team also fails to communicate with one another about the issues they receive. No progress was made on the issue until a direct call was made.

Overall, we are very happy with Chargify. Support is quick to assist with questions, very personable, and helpful. The platform itself could be easier to use, access, and move between. Allowing users to access their billing portal and make changes on their own is also a great benefit of Chargify. If you're looking for a tool to help your customers buy on a recurring basis, Chargify is the best out there.

Pros

We chose Chargify primarily for its ability to handle recurring charges for our subscription products. It's been a very useful tool for us.

Cons

I wish the product buying pages were easier to access and edit on the fly. The process to access your product purchasing pages and how you can edit them is pretty cumbersome compared to other tools on the market.

Pretty good. Its not cheap for startups, but it does what is on the label. When we first started we were overcharged (was rectified though).

Pros

Its quite powerful and relatively simple to setup. It allowed us to focus on other aspects of product development and know that the money side of things was simply done.

Cons

There are a few features obviously missing in my mind. I cant pause a subscription, I cant adjust a specific clients subscription if I want to adjust ongoing charges, for example. I find it expensive for low volume (we are a startup so its still hundreds of dollars a month despite the fact we only have a handful of customers currently).

Reason for choosing Maxio

Chargebee took too long to come back to me.

Chargify helped in getting the business to be PCI compliant and also to not worry about dealing with issues related to day to day subscription renewals.

Missing a feature where a dummy card could be used to QA in production otherwise everything about this product is amazing

Pros

Chargify's API is simple to use and has comprehensive documentation. I used the Ruby SDK and was never confused about how it worked. Its subscription management is flexible and intuitive, and allows for a variety of subscription options.

Cons

The customer name field is a bit inflexible - it requires a first and last name, and as separate fields. This is a fairly minor complaint, though.

As an outsourced accounting company, we service lots of clients who have saas revenue models. We have gotten to the point where we will not due revenue recognition any other way - and we tell our clients that. They must use Saas Optics (the alternative is to pay us a large amount of money!) Of course they all do and love it. My staff won't use any other tool and are so glad that someone has made rev recognition so easy!
