Clean, clear, and under control

Pros

Intuitive user interface and overall design, with a complete solution for my needs.

Cons

Maybe that there aren't as many safety prompts for administrators who make mistakes selecting 'yes' to things too quickly. A few "are you sure?" dialogue boxes would do those admins a bit of good I think.

Over all experience is great!

Pros

It keeps all account's details separated by sections which makes it easier for the users to find out specific data from customers. We have 5 processors and they all work with Chargify which is amazing. We don't need more software or do more work to manage the billing. You can manage the access given all users which is great.

Cons

It would be great if we could integrate all subscriptions from different processors in just one Chargify account.

Pros

Managing a multitude of subscription box billing and renewals become very doable through Chargify. It is also a good way to track revenue on a monthly basis.

Cons

This isn't necessarily built for subscription box services so there sometimes it can take a decent amount of time to get what we need from this software.

Great for B2C products, not great yet for B2B

Pros

Simple to set up, easy to manage sign up pages, and automated dunning works well.

Cons

Until recently there was no revenue recognition. The main ledger is a merge of all different types of data so it's hard to use. We moved away because our use case has customers not activated simultaneously with the payment (manual activation is required) which is common in B2B and that is just not supported well.

Reason for choosing Maxio

Simple to implement, standard terms. We eventually moved to Zuora because rev rec, audit trails, better volume terms, and the need to support a B2B use-case.

Pros

The option to rebill customers monthly. It was also very affordable for us when we first started the business and our customer support team is able to easily navigate and learn the platform.

Cons

Our customers frequently complain about the billing portal. However, we are working on our own solution for this.

I like how easy it is to create reports. Working in Customer Care, it's my responsibility to call our insureds that are past due. With 5 clicks I have a spreadsheet and I'm off making my calls for the day.

Pros

The ease of use and the fact that it's never down. We've used a couple of different payment companies in the past 10 years or so and they'd send out an email saying, "We will be down for maintenance from 2:00 EST to 4:00 EST" on a Monday or Tuesday. That didn't work for us at all.

Cons

Nothing. I love it!!!! There is nothing I would change.

We use Chargify for all of our billing processing. It covers the vast majority of our needs very ably. I am the primary user, but don't negotiate the contract, so I can't speak to value for the money.

Pros

Easy to use, new features make it more flexible for our business. Amazing support team and a product team that is interested in feedback and actually implements it!

Cons

There are some limitations in terms of how it can be used. Our pricing has become more flexible, which is a challenge with the need to pre-set product and discount types.

Pros

Easy to get an overview of our client's subscription plan and payment options. Makes invoicing process much easier for us.

Cons

Could be a little more flexible. For exemple, some clients with overdue payments call us to notify that they sent us a cheque. But we can't switch Payment method from Automatic to Invoicing until they pay by credit card.

This program is extremely easy to use and setup and met most all of our needs in running credit cards for our customer base

No integration to our current crm which forces us to manually apply the payments to the accounts.

When everything is going crazy on an account, this is a safe place to actually know what is going on with the money. This place always tells the "truth" about whats going on.

Cons

It takes a while to fully learn. I've been using it for over 2 years and i still 2nd guess myself.

We can invoice in a matter of minutes not days. Most of our subscriptions start at the beginning of a month so I have it all set up when I process service orders I can just send invoices when the system tells me to. Collections is great too !

Pros

That I can set up my subscription invoices and renewals so easily. And, collections is 100% more efficient.

Cons

A customer record - why do I have to always scroll to the bottom to save. Your form has so much extra space. And, when I'm processing a sales order from SFDC. You have to hover over the "hamburg" icon and select Process usually easy enough. But, to exclude the screen is so small I can't find with out scrolling - that seams stupid to me. Biggest complaint is the UI.

Reason for choosing Maxio

I saw SaaSOptics years ago and then had a friend who used it. So, I looked at the SFDC product but it was not even close.

I am very satisfied and have no plans of changing. I'd like the pricing to be a little better as it can be expensive for small businesses.

Pros

There are a good number of features and options and web hook integration is critical.

Cons

Some of the linking to credit processing can be hard if the bank isn't set up correctly 100%. The customization for signup forms can get tricky when you need a lot of custom options. I'd like the pricing to be a little better as it can be expensive for small businesses.

Cons

The receipts aren't ideal for showing UK VAT reporting and take a fair bit of complex configuration. With time their development team will fix this I'm sure.

So far it has been good. In speaking with our Dev team, it is not that flexible if your subscription model has more than 1 option.

Pros

The software works very well, but I wish the reporting as a little stronger.

Cons

Reporting may not be as informative as I require. I was involved from the start, but am getting much deeper with respect to report generation and analysis. I am hoping my comments are not to premature.

I have had a very good experience with Chargify. They feel like a business partner as well as a software provider - it feels quite personal.

Pros

I like how easy it is to integrate with a website

Cons

There is nothing I dislike about Chargify. The only slight challenge is that you have to have a separate payment provider to hook it up to so that payments can be taken, but Chargify does a really good job of subscription-based payments and website integration.
