Suddenly, my account was suspended without prior notice, even though my usage had been consistent. Their anti-spam policy is unclear and not well-communicated during onboarding. If only opt-in subscribers are allowed, then this should be clearly stated upfront — otherwise, the platform is not suitable for any kind of B2B outreach or genuine professional networking. I requested clarification and deletion of my data, but the support response was dismissive and unhelpful. Very disappointed with the lack of transparency and customer care. Pros Having had a terrible experience and non-existent customer service from MailerLite in the last few weeks, I recently moved over to Sender’s free package and have been VERY pleasantly surprised by their services. The platform is user friendly and easy to navigate but better yet, when I’ve had difficulties in resolving some issues, the customer service has been excellent. My first encounter was via email and I got a positive helpful response quickly. Having struggled to optimise the setup for my needs, I spoke to \[sensitive content hidden\] via live chat today, who took the time, care and effort to answer all of my questions, help identify and resolve errors I’d made in my setup and patiently wait through the entire process as I checked each of my workflows. Being able to communicate in real time with a human who had access to my account made all the difference and has restored my faith that there are still some companies out there who pride themselves in providing first class customer service, even to their free customers. As a complete beginner, I accomplished more in a single day with Sender.net than I had in weeks elsewhere – it's incredibly intuitive. You can login and send an full designed email in minutes, or spend all day to tweak it, either way there are less steps to the process and it's not a large learning curve like MailChimp. Cons You have to put each paragraph in a separate text box, otherwise the subscriber may see them spaced differently in their inbox. It's been easy to set up landing forms and an automation sequence for new subscribers, and the email design tool is easy to use as well. They also have a lot of resources for new users, and their free tier is one of the most generous ones I've seen. I also really appreciate that they have a payment tier that allows you to pay per email sent, rather than a monthly subscription. For less frequent emailers like me, this will save me a lot of money. Cons The only minor annoyance I have is that as best I can tell, when making a form for new subscribers, I'm restricted to putting the info in a smaller text box and can't use the entire page. Not a big deal, but I wish there was more flexibility. However, they are constantly striving to enhance it. They make improvements that improve the experience, even when I believe it's already excellent until we're prepared to buy the free account that offers all of the tools and features that we'll need to establish and expand our business. Cons The most challenging thing for me has been understanding out how to manage and set up subscribers. Some of the template headlines appear misaligned when viewed on a mobile device. It's a really fantastic platform for our non-profit and helps us keep connected to the community we serve without a great expense. The support is second to none. I don't think I have never worked with such a responsive support team, ever. It's almost instantaneous and they actively work with you to correct concerns and fix bugs if you find them. I really appreciate them so much! Pros The ease of use and point and click editor/formatting are excellent. They are always working to improve it. Even when I think it's working great already, they make changes that improve the experience. Cons I do not find this difficult to use. It is very user intuitive and takes no time to figure out and be on your way to creating really stunning newsletters. It actually took me a few months before I took the time (COVID interrupted) to really understand how much it could do, and once I had the opportunity, within one newsletter week, I was able to upgrade our newsletter reader experience a lot. If there was one thing I wish was different about it, it would be that I think I would like the newsletter browser version to be available as soon as I schedule the email version send. This way, I could schedule the social and website posts that share it at the same time as I schedule the email version to go out. Right now, I have to wait until it actually gets sent before it's available in the browser version to share. I understand this may be a coding and timing issue that can't be resolved. It would just be a time saver for me if it could. Reason for choosing Sender It had everything I needed and more.
