Pros: Well, full disclaimer, we are not using the entire end to end solution from Dryfta.

(I will keep this review within the features we are using)



We were looking at multiple vendors to the call for papers and rating for some of our events. Most of them have a pricing structure and complexity that was either too costly for our needs or not strong enough to fulfill our needs.

The workflow from creating contacts, setting other users as admins or different roles was easy.

Creating the forms for different content (registration, abstract, review, etc.) was a really robust experience. It is really simple and practical to set up the types limits and parameters when you are building content and capturing the right information for your classes/content.

When you manage a bigger event, making sure you get the right speakers and the right content for your attendants is crucial.

The support team is really helpful and quick to come back for fixes and troubleshooting.

The development team is open minded and have the focus on customer satisfaction, I remember making some suggestions in the workflow at one point and actually seeing the feature/changes implemented a few days/weeks after.

I think the event duplication is a really useful backend tool/feature. Having the option to copy everything or just a subset of the content is great.

The responsive design is generally good, the templated approach works well too.

Cons: I think there are a few things that could improve (not that they are currently bad);

-adding your own font in the platform would be great

-language management, adding more supported languages and having a better way to do search+replace of values would be a must.

-having more shortcodes (or content blocks) that can be re-used across the platform would be great (mainly in emails configuration)

EX: having a code component where you place your email footer with opt-in / unsubscribe, copyrights. When you want to update, simply update the text in the code block instead of modifying the footer manually in each email.

I think there is a need to adapt some of the css available as it doesn't always work right (styling forced in-line without classes or way to change different elements without affecting others).

Overall: I would highly recommend. At this price point, you get a lot of features for what you pay for. Of course it is not the same experience as some bigger players in the market but it is a strong position in my opinion.

Pros: Data management, custom report generation, and email communications features as well as ability to link accounts with proposal submission, proposal reviews, and attendee payments.

Cons: Confusing instructions for uploading data for program schedule creation, inconsistent layout and graphic features of online program schedule and downloadable PDF, and inability to upload or manipulate graphics to any degree on website landing page. Also instructions for customizing some fields in forms was unclear, causing some fields not to be sortable. However, almost all of these issues were solved by the time our annual conference started.

Overall: We were able to have all our conference planning functions integrated onto one platform with features that spoke to each other. The benefits were being able to use one application instead of having to have data in multiple places and then having to match accounts from one application with ones in another. Dryfta ensured that all the data was correlated accurately. The technical assistance and customer service were excellent-always prompt and willing to resolve a problem.

Pros: I often organize Scientific conferences for 100 plus people. Dryfta platform makes it easy to build up the program and update it as needed. It is also quite easy for our attendees to upload their abstracts and make payments when registering. I liked the registration tracking interface a lot. I also enjoyed using the badge builder feature. It saved me a lot of time!

Cons: The reporting management could have been more user-friendly. For instance, if you want a report of attendees to different events, then you have to choose a couple of variables to get it. It doesnèt seem very intuitive, and it took me a bit of time to understand how it works.

Overall: With Dryfta we save time

- in tracking the registrations

- managing the payments

- building an online program that is compatible with all devices (including mobiles and tablets)

- getting appropriate reports for our room bookings and social events

Thank you for your feedback. The reporting tool does have a steep learning curve but that is because it is very flexible and lets organizers generate any kind of report with multiple sets of data and filters.

Pros: Very user friendly system and the customer support team is amazing !! As I build and plan for my conference, the support team are right there to help. The team at Dryfta have also been extremely proactive by giving me tips and hints at each stage - I feel like I have my very own team behind me at all times!

Cons: There are lots of options for the website themes which is great - it would be good to introduce different styles of graphics that you can customize on the themes - but that is just me being fussy!

Pros: - it provides us with both the capability of on-line registration/payment AND abstract review capabilities

- it allows for easy email communications to all or subsets of the individuals we wish to reach (e.g., attendees, reviewers, speakers, etc.)

Cons: - lots of options and so as a novice in technology, it was a bit overwhelming - but, that's where the great tech help comes into play - our "chief happiness officer" was wonderful to work with and helped us narrow down the key pieces we needed and helped us to use those pieces

Overall: We're running a national conference and needed a website with many capabilities including managing the abstract review process, managing on-line registration with payment, managing communications, managing scholarship application process and managing the evaluation review process. Our IT trainer was phenomenal in helping us to understand and operate these functions as well as help us when we ran into trouble or had questions...and as first-time website "builders," we had LOTS of questions. The IT help was FAST, reliable, helpful and friendly!
