Pros: MeisterTask is honestly a huge life-saver for our business. The ability to create daily and long-term projects, create tasks within those projects and assign them to individuals within the company is huge.

Cons: Nothing really to complain about! This product is honestly easy and seamless to use, we love having it!

Pros: We use MeisterTask to manage our progress on various projects and love how well it visually represents our individual tasks. The mobile apps are amazing too.

Cons: We prefer the design and integrations in alternatives like Trello. This is why we find ourselves switching back and forth roughly twice a year.

Pros: it was so easy to get started and really easy to customize. They offer a lot for free that was enough to organize the start up tasks of a small business venture. They also did a beautiful job with the friend end and made it beautiful

Cons: The feature set at the time was low, but this was early in their launch and imsure it has grown since then!

Pros: The backgrounds and AJAX motions are all very fluid and well though out, I love the changing background and flat graphics style, Easy to add attachments and checklists to your tasks, share with other users, and keep track of things along the way. I also love how the due date is always right there and easy to follow.

Cons: Not really a con, but I wish that cards moved to the "Done" category automatically once they are marked completed, and I wish there was a way to track how much time you spent on a specific task or sub tasks. If MeisterTask could track time and generate invoices I would never leave the site!

Overall: MeisterTask is a great alternative to Trello, which I don't really like. They are very similar in that they use cards to manage tasks, but the interface of MeisterTask is much more pleasent and visually appealing to me. This has helped me go from being completely unorganized to being on task and target in just a matter of a few days time!

Pros: I like the ease of use. The integration with Gmail is one of it's best features. It is also visually appealing.

Cons: Seems to be a bit glitchy, but I have only been working with the product for a short time. Import from Trello seems to be incomplete.

Pros: Dashboard and user interface is nice and very easy to move around. Easy to copy projects, move from task to project, assign users, deadlines, etc.

Cons: Need some more features or improve existing ones like system alerts, prioritize tasks, comments, etc. Mobile APP is not the best one.. Takes too much space from Laptop and Phone.

Pros: I like this software because it's more task-focused than Trello, but shares many of the same easy-to-use features of that software.

Cons: It's a shame that when you complete a task, it does not automatically move to the "Done" field. Also, adding other users to the task board could be made easier.

Overall: A dashboard with all of the tasks I have outstanding, grouped by client

Pros: I enjoyed the visual UI. I love that I can customize each task step (change "in progress" to "working on it") and create as many steps like that as I want. I love the vibrant backgrounds/quotes on the welcome page and that I can track unlimited numbers of projects with users that can monitor or be assigned items as well (even on the free version).

Cons: I might lower the pro price slightly, but overall I think it would be worth the money for the added features (such as triggers when you interact with any part of a task).

Overall: Organization of work life and projects. Great benefit and helpful for my daily tasks.

Pros: I've worked with so many different tools when it comes to project management. I think one of the hardest things to deal with when managing a team is making sure everyone is familiar with the tools. Trello, basecamp, asana, etc- I seem to find someone many people that are used to using these tools. You can jump from task to task fairly easily and the colors are quite nice.

Cons: I've witnessed people getting visibly angry when they hear they need to learn a new tool and task settings don't work the same. Exporting is very frustrating and tutorials are not easy to find.

Pros: 1. Easy to use, no need for any training. I was able to build various boards for work and home in few minutes.
2. Highly customizable, you can create your own categories.
3. Can easily link tasks/cards to a real or virtual people, giving myself the freedom to invite colleges or keep the board personal.
4. Really liked the idea of having a category icon, the tool offers a lot of options for these icons.

Cons: 1. Limited integration with other tools, unlike other offerings in the market.
2. Even though mobile apps are available all across (Windows 10, Andriod and iOS), they tend to be unstable at times (Specifically Andriod and Windows apps)
3. Notifications aren't there, I rarely see any email or mobile notification for the app (even if a task is past-due)!
4. Very customizable interfaces leading to continuous changes, this is more of a user issue (myself), but I prefer to have so templates that can be used as a guideline.

Overall: After starting my current job, I was amazed by the new workflow that required high level of autonomy. This imposed a very challenging task for me, how can I be organized and have a single view that covers all my projects scope.

After shopping around for few weeks, I landed on Miester Task. I was amazed by the very easy to use interface and the customization options that allow you to build your own board the way you like.
I ended up recommending it to other colleges who really liked it and are continuously using it.

Pros: The interface and experience are fairly straightforward. I was invited into a workspace, and was able to quickly understand how it worked and what I was required to do. The interface is also well designed.

Cons: It feels like Trello, but there's something missing. I can't put my finger on exactly what, but I just don't feel like I'm in control of my cards, information, and data. It also feels less visual/color coded than similar products I've used.

Pros: It does what it promises. Allows you to create projects, tasks and subtasks and collaborate with other project members. The interface is very pretty.

Cons: It uses the 'cards' system. Most people seem to enjoy it, but I'm not a big fan... it does not provide charts (the free version at least) of your tasks.

Pros: For a free product, there is a remarkable level of polish & features embedded in the platform. Has features that are lacking in trello (such as sub-classifying tasks)

Cons: Not a whole lot to dislike, especially the free version. The only annoying part is you're constantly bombarded with pages prompting you to upgrade to a paid tier (almost every time you log in).

Pros: Simple Kanban Task treatment expandable to internal teams and external effort along with integrations to SharePoint and many other platforms all at a reasonable price.

Pros: I really like the setup of this software. It seems that it is well thought out and it's fun to use. I like the log on screen background. It is also very functional and it is great for task tracking. It uses the "Kanban" set up so it's easy to see things up front. I like the feature that allows you to add checklist items on to your tasks. This helps break down each task. I also like the mobile app for this software.

Cons: This software does not have some of the features like time sheets and a risk management section to help tract risks and keep everyone up to speed with risks.

Overall: This is great software for task tracking and braking down each task.

Pros: The software is very easy to set up and is also straightforward enough to enable you to explain how it works to others verbally. (It also has a great help section) The section actions of Meistertask (ie Actions within columns that enable automation of some tasks) are a novel and very useful feature allowing you to automatically assign someone or move the task to another project just by moving the task into that column - huge time-saver. Another unique feature I love in Meistertask is the integration with their own mind-mapping app Meistermind, allowing you to easily convert mind-maps to task lists really useful. Altogether a great tool that is both useful and nice to work with.

Cons: There are two features that I wish Meistertask had are 1) A better android app, I like to see my task list on my homescreen (similar to Todoist, Nozbe and GQueues apps) not have to access through an icon button, just a personal preference but one I miss badly. 2) The ability to have a single task in multiple locations (to be fair I only know of Taskworld that offers this, unfortunately Taskworld is far more expensive and is a lot slower programme) but it is a super-useful feature.

Overall: Helping to streamline my business

Pros: The easy way you can track a series of projects. The way it perfectly works in a team, where more than one person interact in a single project. The possibility to have a checklist in each task (I love it!!).

Overall: I get to have all my tasks (and of my team) organized, and I am able to know in each one, what is done and what i still have to do.

Pros: I really like the Meitertask interface. Clean, beautiful and organized. One of the factors that made me choose Meistertask instead of Trello was the direct integration with Mindmeister. It is absolutely fantastic to delegate tasks to your team directly through the mind map.

Cons: Sometimes the interface has been buggy. For example, the background on the home screen often does not load on slow network connections, and makes it impossible to read project names, forcing the user to reload the page.

Overall: Helps me organize and delegate tasks quickly.

Pros: It integrates with existing tools like Slack. The look and feel is also very similar to other systems which are easy on the eyes. I especially like the more linear aspect of the tasks. It makes me feel like things are truly being accomplished.

Cons: I couldn't really get a true feel for how it would work in a team setting until I upgraded. Additionally the work flow is slightly limited especially when using dependancies. There is no way to allow other members to work ahead or concurrently if a "dependancy" is set on the previous task.

Pros: Have the multiple columns that you can name and customize is really cool. Being able to create tons of separate projects and share with certain people is great. Being able to comment on specific to-dos is great. Being able to collaberate with people and share is great.

Cons: Getting notified about late items and such isn't super easy to figure out. I'm sure with more time I could figure it out, but I didn't find it worthwhile enough. It would also be cool if there could be a column designated as the "done" column, which items marked done would automatically be moved to but visible (and marked off). Overall it's a cool platform, it's just not worthwhile enough for me to spend money. I mostly ended up using it as a running record of actions done on various accounts, rather than actually a list of to-do and done items.

Overall: The main thing is having a collaberative to-do list with someone and being able to comment, mark as done.

Pros: The best part about Meistertask is how dead simple it is, while still absolutely nailing what it needs to really get right. Meistertask makes task management dead simple for me, and keeps the detail out of the way unless I specifically need it.

Cons: The worst thing about Meistertask is that sometimes if my internet or wifi disconnects for a short period, it gives me a warning and I'm unsure if my changes will save locally or not until the connection is restored.

Pros: Ease of Use

Cons: None

Overall: I switched from another popular "TO DO" program to Meister Task almost 2 years ago. The ease of use and multi platforms allows me to keep up on current items but more importantly follow up with the people who requested support. I have customized the App to represent my needs as well as those I am serving. It even let me put a personal picture as the backdrop ... sounds simple but makes it mine. Keep up the good work and thank you for always responding when I have a question.

Pros: Simplicity

Cons: Needing to remember to keep it open so I see my tasks. Having to open each task to add in the deadline (wish I could just add the deadline when I create the task).

Overall: I needed a way to create mine to do lists without writing them on paper (which gets lost or covered in coffee). I didn't need complex project management and I didn't need to share with a team -- I really just needed to make a usable list. This seems to mostly fit the bill. I need to remember to keep it open, or I lose track of my to-do list. And it can handle more of the project management features (like commenting, sharing, and tagging) but I don't need to use it. All told, this is a pretty good tool for the simple management.

Pros: Keeps the team on track and is easy to adopt for even the non-tech staff.

Cons: Project date does not affect all of the task due dates, so for every new project, even those we've made template projects for, we have to hand input due dates for every task.

Overall: I tried this with my team and we're using it successfully with some extra effort. We are a growing church with several recurring projects and teams. We've found that Meister task is one of the first task programs that we'll used successfully, even late adapters. We find that duplicating a template we've made for a recurring project is easy, but we still have to hand-input all the due dates. IT would be easier if one project date would set all the due dates within a project. Never the less, we've been using the software (free version) for 4 months and have better and better success keeping team members on target with due dates and sharing information and files.

Recommendations to other buyers: I now use this software for all of my tasks. It really keeps me on track.

Comments: I've been a huge MindMeister fan for years, the only thing I was missing was a way to properly manage the tasks that arise out of my mind mapping sessions. The MeisterTask integration is exactly what I needed - now I can export all tasks from MindMeister into a project board and work them off one by one. Nothing gets overlooked anymore and I don't miss any deadlines.
I love that MeisterTask is just as simple as MindMeister (it took me about half an hour to have it pretty much figured out) and that it, too, has a Drive integration.
Since I've never shared any of my projects with others, I can't say anything about the team and collaboration features, but for freelancers and teachers it's definitely worth a try (especially if you're already a MindMeister user).
