Coordinator of Operations Professional Training & Coaching Used the software for: I used a free trial ### "Easy and affordable for my little nonprofit office" March 30, 2019 5.0 As mentioned before, I have been able to save and categorize my office gmail emails as visually-pleasing, easily-comminicable tasks that can be shared in my little office. It has replaced the ugly little scribble-notes on my desk (for the most part). :) We are a small non-profit (four people altogether) so the free basic account is wonderful, although we are considering the Pro. I have already mentioned it to several friends. Pros It is free and an add-on within gmail! And it's beautiful! Our office uses G-Suite, and I was desperate for a replacement for Inbox, which I had been using for the last year because it allowed me to pin notes and to-dos on each email regarding such things as follow-ups needed or website updates for users. MeisterTask allows us to take a gmail email and turn it into a categorized to-do task that I can categorize, assign to someone, and place a due date on. I love that I can have a conversation per to-do and my admin asst and I can get tasks done and tuck them away without ever having to ask each other questions in panic as later follow-up. Cons There is nothing that I don't like given what I am using it for. Maybe more could show up there as notifications - such as what is still in progress or yet to complete (or maybe I can set this up in settings somewhere)? I would love to take it to take it to a higher level, because I am using Smartsheets for event management, but I would need to be able to build and save multiple projects (outside of my office tasks) and be able to make use of complex templates and viewable calendars. I'm not quite sure what/where my abilities end with MesiterTask, but then I just started using it. I hope it doesn't go away. These are personal projects as I am unemployed. I find that the visual layout on the web-version is compelling and I enjoy using it. The reminders on my phone are limited, no snooze feature if you're stuck on another task, but overall decent anyway. I would and have recommended this product and will likely do so again. Pros I love the overall layout and design look of the software. I use the web-based version and the Android version. I like that I can get a good picture of what my day looks like - what I've planned to do, and what I may be missing from my tasks that needs to be done. It is a great companion to my Full Focus Planner, a Franklin planning system, and a general task list. Cons I wish the free version had more projects - something like 4 to 6 would be great. My budget may allow me to purchase the full (I think Pro) version. I am using this for just myself right now, but can see how a business could make use of it. Like most To-do apps, a decent snooze feature is lacking. Sometimes I am in the middle of working on a task and need a few more minutes to finish up - snoozing an upcoming item is always helpful. Switched from [Todoist](https://www.capterra.com/p/149339/Todoist-for-Business/) I did not like how Todoist just looks like an overgrown to-do list. I have plenty of those written and on the computer, I did not need another one. I wanted something that would be visually appealing, not overly distracting and be a project, task, checklist-style format. I also tried Trello and absolutely did not like it. I also really like the hierarchy of creating projects, then tasks, and checklists within tasks. Cons The notification feature is basically useless. I can't imagine doing what we do without it. Pros I am more thankful every day that we implemented MeisterTask into our non profit's suite of tools. I don't know how we would be managing our current workload without it! Cons Archived tasks need to be searchable and text selectable on the mobile app. The capability exists with the desktop web app but needs to be applied to the mobile app.Over 50 tasks can not be listed on the mobile app without resorting .. this is problematic. Some of the things I love about it: - Great feature-set for even free tier - Super easy to use user interface - Intuitive drag and drop capability for cards which is super useful when sorting and organising Cons As I mentioned, I mostly use it for personal projects to keep myself accountable not necessarily in large teams, so it would be nice if it was also designed with this type of single-user scenarios in mind a there are usually so many extra steps to get by just because there are no other team members to add to a project or task. The Kanban layout shows you exactly what needs to be done and at what stage of the process it is currently. This means ANYBODY with things to accomplish can use this. It's a particular must for teams that are involved in a project because the cards allow you to assign the task to a specific team member. It also allows you to track activity to see your team's progress. Meistertask is now fully integrated into my daily routine and has definitely helped me get things done in a more efficient and strategic (and not to mention fun) manner! It's just so easy and fun to use that it's no longer a chore to keep organized. In fact, it's so easy, I even push my kids to keep their school/life tasks in it. That doesn't mean there's no depth to the software; it is there. It's just designed in a way that simple task management is possible while more powerful features are just a touch away. More people should know about this software! Pros The interface is very intuitive. It's beautifully done. You don't need any instructions to get up and going. Precisely what I was searching for. It has genuinely streamlined my customer based undertakings. Black and white note-keeping has never been as effective for me as I had always hoped it would be; it would always start to blur together. MeisterTask provides the perfect visual analogue to a physical organization system combined with easy note-taking and ways to keep details of a job organized. Pros It allows me to keep momentum on a job going by quickly inputting all pertinent info for a job that I can easily reference and move around as I complete various stages of it. I also love being able to drag-and-drop reference images into a task and quickly format notes as lists or sub-lists, and being able to access and make changes to my client's jobs from any device. Cons There's not much of MeisterTask that I've been dissatisfied about, honestly. Sure, I'd like to change the background of my dashboard but I can't complain, since I use the free version, and the free version works just as I need it to as-is. Something I'm very thankful for. Before moved here, I started to set up some organization schema in Turkey with my friends for their business. I told them about Scrum and Agile methods. Then I presented this tool as a seller! Now, all the guys are using MeisterTask. It is simple, and the guys were really far away to the scheduling task. Although this, everyone follows the task in here! Pros Everything is easy. I use this tool with my team and my own to schedule myself. Cons Related task following will be nicer more than that. Create Subtask can be similar as Jira Tool. Desperately needs a contacts page that can be linked to outlook or at least built for the project.
