Our overall experience has been a great one. From the onboarding call(s) to the training sessions, \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\], and all the developers have done an amazing job of getting us set up and making it clear that they will customize as many options as possible to set things up the way we like it. We are still somewhat evaluating the software and haven't fully committed to it, but I'm confident that we can make the complete switch to PrintLogic and use it as our main MIS software to help the company run smoother.

Pros

The overall design of the app is nice and clean. There is a ton of customization available and the team at PrintLogic has been unbelievable in terms of support and are always quick to respond. I have yet to see this level of service with any other company, especially not when it comes to software. They are constantly adding new features and it is clear that they truly value their customers and what they are looking for. They are quite adamant about customizing everything so that it meets our needs, despite the smaller size of our company.

Cons

There are a lot of features related to offset/litho printing that do not relate to our (Mostly wide-format vinyl/sign printing) industry, and some features & wording are not required or useful. I understand that this software is geared towards several different printing industries but it would be nice to have the option to remove all features and wording related to offset/litho printing. There are some quirks when it comes to material calculations but we're still in the early stages of setting it up and user error is usually the cause for most of our confusion. Exporting the data so it can be brought into Quickbooks Desktop has been a bit confusing, but I'm confident that we can get it sorted out. Direct integration with QBD would be nice but I understand they can't possibly cover all the possible integrations that clients might need.

We were/are using a combination of Quickbooks and Smartsheet to do our estimating, scheduling, and invoicing. This combination leaves a lot to be desired and has a few gaps that needed to be filled. PrintLogic was recommended to us and it appears to do exactly what we're looking for.

I have tried a few systems and used Tharstern for 16+ years but for me, as a small print producer and consultancy, Print Logic is just great. It has saved me time and despite the few niggles and quirks, I use it all the time - couldn't be without it now!

Pros

Really good system - saving me time and keeping me on track. Exporting invoices to Xero is super easy. Document creation and keeping 'on brand' is great too - all docs look professional and consistent. Support is very good too. Responsive and keen to help. They have even adjusted the system to accommodate a few things. Much of my work is complex print - more than one paper, lots of finishes - lots of outwork and PO's - PrintLogic enables me to keep on top of all. Love it!

Cons

A bit clunky to start with but support and training was FAB. A few things don't work for me like costed quotes - importing papers is not easy - support do this but this truly relies on the info from paper companies. All the quotes I create now are manual - much more reliable. Probably not the quickest but it works for me. Changing a spec once 'booked in' as an order would be useful - I cant see a way around this than starting again - perhaps there is a way and its a training issue. Not having VAT on PO's is crazy - please sort this.

Initial Sales Team - excellent Training / deployment - good Support team - lacking in adequate communication (would prefer to have designated phone/account contact) Ongoing training or follow up - poor

Pros

The central storage of information in one application was a massive asset to us, and the overall the system is well laid out and easy to use. We are now very happy with our documents etc and overall happy with PL. \*We think PL should volunteer some follow up training after 3 or 6 months of deployment so Users can improve and use the system to its full capability.

Cons

1\. Some of the features simply don't work. example entering Manual Items on a quote. When you enter a first item, it will pull in the correct pricing from the pre-loaded Items pricelist, but if you go back into that quote and 'add Manual Items' it pulls a price out of nowhere, sometimes €100s different. 2. There is a significant gap in the Costed Quote area re using Mixed stocks. eg the industry standard for all production booklets is 150gsm silk inserts, and a 300gsm silk cover, it is not possible to provide an accurate quotation for this as PL will not allow you to print and bind mixed stocks in the same quote column. 3. The garment/embroidery quote option is something we would like to use more but find it very complicated and confusing. Perhaps we need more training. 4. The inability to be able to 'Pricecard' or Pricelist industry standard items such as 500 Business Cards or 100 A4 flyers etc, makes the stock/purchase part of the application obsolete as selling these producst does not remove stock from your central file, it needs to be manually put in as Wastage, which most accountants/bookkeepers/owners would never accept. 5. We had hoped to use the Web2Print feature of PL and link it to our software but to me that link needs to be improved before we could develop it further (see point 4 above).

I have found the programme very easy to use. It exports the invoices into Sage, which helps with time management for our book keeper and eliminates the mistakes from manual entry. The reports are invaluable for marketing, so sales can see chase up quotes that have not been taken up, and chase clients who have not ordered for a certain period of time.

Pros

It is easy to use, generates many reports to aid with the running of the business and you can have bespoke reports created.. We have had one created we use at the end of the month showing all the jobs that have not yet been invoiced to ensure we invoice all the jobs we have produced that month.

Cons

When you amend a small item of a quote you are working on it changes everything and can adjust the price that you had worked out completely. You can work around this, but need to be aware of it.

When we tested it, it was easy to use The cost was reasonable. We like all the reports it generated and the fact that other reports could be generated for us. Also we own more than one company and we could link it so there was a drop down menu to select the companies in Printlogic.

Friendly and helpful. Always very personal (ie you're not directed to an auto attendant, one of my pet hates) and always willing to look to make a change to the system for you if it's of help to you. Highly recomend this company to deal with.

Pros

It's easy to navigate, goes from start of a job to the very end of a job (quote to payment and everything inbetween) and it's possible to put it on multipe computers - PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone etc and have multipe users for the one monthly prescription.

Cons

I'd really love to be able to write a letter to a customer from the system where you pick a customer and a contact in the customer and then if there was a letter symbol that you could click on where it would populate the business (customer) name and address and the start of the letter (Dear Jim, for instance) and would have your signe off at the bottom so all you have to do is type what you want to say. We used to have this on our old system and I really miss it. 98% of our comunication is done by email but sometimes you have to send a letter be it with a sample or whatever and that would be so useful. It would also record your letter on the customer file.

I have worked with the system since 2014 and have seen it evolve and improve year on year. Enables me to manage my quotes and orders and provide everyone in the team an easy to use system to update and track orders. Makes administration easy and provides great reporting options.

Pros

The ease of use, the great customer support and the wide variety of uses.

Cons

The costed quoting section, very labour intensive to setup. Always lose patience with it when I attempt to work on it.

Overall experience is pretty good. Printlogic is a great tool for printers to be able to have a good handle on orders & where things are at.

Pros

Great for keeping track of customers in general.... orders, invoiced, quotes etc. Trying to utilise a bit more.

Cons

We find it glitchy at times. Strange things happen for no reason what so ever. Recently we have been having issues with text duplicating in orders & page 3 production sheet. We have to refill out all the pages adding unnecessary time to processing & it can be quite frustrating.

We've been very pleased with PL from the start. The price is hard to beat for what you are offered. The customer service has been outstanding. I do find it takes a little longer to hear back from service than it used to, but the company has been growing and I find their time to reply is still well within acceptable limits.

Pros

It has a wide range of features that often only come with higher end systems. PrintLogic is easy to get going with and has the ability to become increasingly useful to your company as you learn more modules and features. We like that we can doing everything, including invoicing, from within the cloud-based program.

Cons

Some of the interface feels dated - it isn't as flashy as some newer UI. Occasionally, I find the robustness of a module not as much as I'd like it to be. For instance, in cost estimating, I find building custom quotes can be a little clunky in bringing different products together; however, it is often the case of you get out of it what you put into it. The more data and products yoyu build, the better it performs.

Reason for choosing Printlogic

Pricing was the primary reason; however, we were also motivated by the one-price-fits-all approach where a cloud-based software gets upgraded for all as a feature comes online. There are some features that you can pay for above and beyond if it is not something that others want, but overall, their pricing model outshined everyone else.

The overall experience has been very good. We transitioned from another online estimating software that just wasn't handling our needs anymore. This system is robust, quick and lots and lots of options. I'm satisfied with the overall product and looking forward to see the next updates to this system.

Pros

The support to setup the software is fantastic. They know print, understand your needs and give you the best options to implement what you need into their system. Everything is customizable and everything is easy to understand.

Cons

At the moment - none so far. You need to put the time in to make sure everything is being captured.

Printlogic keeps are jobs organised and the speed of estimating has won us many more orders than we used to get before switching over.

Pros

When I first took a look back in November 2016 it was refreshing to be able to try without obligation and get all the help I needed to get going. I put together the basics in December and went live in January 2017. I needed to update many of the profiles we had put together on our old system as they were out of date relative to the technology we were now using. Because this was easy to do, our pricing structure was a better reflection of current production methods and I believe gained us much more work.

Cons

There's always something that comes along which you just have to adapt to make it work. The helpdesk has usually been pretty good to sort us out with help and advice.

Pros

The ease of use, the amount of features and the customer support.We have yet to even scratch the surface of using Print Logic to its full potential and whenever we come across something we don't understand or need support with, the customer service is top notch.

Cons

Can't think of anything off the top of my head.

The team guided us through the Print Logic management system before we agreed to anything, so we had knowledge of the ease of use and accessibility of the system before committing to anything, which made making the decision easier. There was no pressure but great communication and explanation of anything we enquired about.

Printlogic have been great, the software drives our estimating team and manages our jobs. Conor has been great in the support team. There's functionality i wish we could update and there are very few new feature updates come through.

Pros

Printlogic won it for us on value for money. The core functionality; estimating, storing job information and invoicing were easy to use, easy to setup and we weren't missing a lot from the much more expensive software options. Plus it was available as SaaS so anywhere - with no install.

Cons

Print Logic has a few features (which they could even charge additional fees for) that could be brilliant but really miss the mark and feel rushed.Other software solutions are charging through the nose for things like proofing and webtoprint. Printlogic actually has these but they are clunky and not really fit for purpose. Also the production scheduler is not well thought through.The API isn't ideal and the integrations, we have found, don't feedback into printlogic.

Fantastic. The support staff are so helpful they really work at a high level

Pros

Very easy to use and set up. We handle lots of small value orders and Print Logic is very quick and effortless to generate orders

Cons

The only part of Printlogic I dont like is that on the order screen I wish you could see all the most recent orders rather than a few of the latest and then some older ordersAlso in the quote screen it would be good to see the quantity and price of the quote without having to physically open up each quote but these are very minor points

Reason for choosing Printlogic

Print Logic worked much better for our size of company Tharstern had lots of features that we would never need and was a much higher price

Pros

Easy to use, staff & I love it.The Cloud platform allows me to quote on the move.The Reports help me keep an eye on how my business is performing & orders in my system.

Cons

The Mobile Comms (iPhone) interface not user friendly, needs looking depending on costs. I can live with it. Printlogic at the moment is value for money a massive USP.

Frustrating!

Pros

This is a difficult question to answer as I am struggling to find an aspect that does not have limitations in its functionality!

Cons

The material file set up is a bit nuts! You can increase prices for quote cost and also quote sell in the material files but that does not link to the purchase order cost so you have to export the material file to excel, do the updates in that file, then send to Printlogic to upload. Be very careful in how you set up the excel file! The calculation engine / terminology is very poor, e.g. 1/3rd A4 6pp Leaflet would print 2up work and turn on SRA2, Printlogic calculates this item as 12 x DL's on an SRA2 sheet, it does not calculate to a flat sheet size, i.e. A4 folding and does not link to a working template. Unfortunately a lot of time is spent manually entering in job bag instructions that should be readily available from the quotation calculations.

Well it was a transformation for my business going from paper based handwritten job docket and POs to an online digital system.

Pros

I have been using Printlogic for about 13 years now, it was the first online print Business Management System that I used. Previously I would have been using excel to track jobs and had no proper system for quoting so the adoption of Printlogic was a transformation for my business. I have not used any others so am not able to compare. The system does almost everything that we require and over the years when we have wanted changes or bespoke features done the Printlogic team have generally been able to do them. Customer support has improved in recent years.

Cons

Due to the the nature of the platform the system is built on it is not seem possible to get pop-up alerts/reminders - this would be a very useful feature. There are a few small glitches with the system and peculiarities that we need to be aware of, though I think most of these relate to bespoke features that have been added just for us. Like all other IT support teams that I have dealt with, Printlogic are also guilty of rarely alerting us when issues have been resolve or when improvements and additions have been made.

Do yourself a favour if your looking for Print Management software and take a good hard look at this before you commit to anything else. I researched products for close to 2 years before I found Printlogic, most of the other companies I came across wanted to charge massive setup and training fees. and lock you into thier systems.

Pros

The biggest selling point to me with Printlogic was the free training and no lock in contracts or setup fees, this made the choice to choose this software easy, it is the only Print Management software I found with free training and no lock in contracts, this told me that they back thier product and I am extremely glad I made this choice.

Cons

Oringinal setup and entering pricing is a bit of a process once this is sorted the software is easy to use and support is great.
