### "Yext Solutions for Location Listing Management"

Syndicating data across the web can be a daunting task for anyone. With Yext, that task is manageable for those that are scaling their business.

Pros

It's direct API connections into the various publishers ensure that our client's updates get published within seconds.

Cons

It's expensive and for service based organizations they don't provide any support when verifying with Google.

Reason for choosing Yext

Managing data in real time was very important for our clients and so we partnered with Yext over Moz Local for that reason.

### "Love these numbers"

Pros

I love using Yext analytics and sending them to my customers. I find that all of their analytics are not data that are found on a lot of other websites. My customers always appreciate the analytics reports I send them.

Cons

I have had zero issues with Yext. You have to make sure you are set up correctly for them to collect the data, but that is user error and not their fault.

### "Not worth the expensive price tag"

Pros

It's nice to have everything on one dashboard and be able to make changes at once, but you pay a really high premium to get that.

Cons

If you don't keep paying the monthly, then you lose access to all our citations. This is ridiculous.

Cancelling your Yext subscription does not overwrite the updates you have already made through Yext, and Yext will not force your listings to revert. When you cancel your subscription, Yext no longer sends your digital knowledge to the sites in the PowerListings® Network. Afterwards, your digital knowledge becomes subject to the normal data compilation process of each publisher, which may result in your data and content changing over time.

### "Don't waste your money!"

Accurate business information in some directories.

Pros

Good integration with directory listings, but only a few of them are really important for your business.

Cons

They will show you a demo before start using the software, but they won't give you a trial period, and they will force you to sign a contract for one year without any cancellation policy.

With Yext your business listing can show up on many. It even causes you to move up on major search engines.

Pros

I like the fact that it gives you access to websites that you may have never heard of for your business listings.

Cons

I do not like the cost for what they offer. And I don't like that the software is so integrated with other sites that they try to force you to use Yext.

### "Great Support, Fast Turn Around"

Overall good experience and it fills the need that we are looking for. Hours update, new store openings and response review all are great products and heavily reduce manual work on our end.

Pros

Always a great experience working with the support staff as well as the account manager. Our requests and questions all get answered in a timely manner and new products and services are being shared with us.

Cons

Same day edits are sometimes slow. If we request an edit sometimes it takes 24-48 hrs to get a response when sometimes we are looking for an immediate response. The account manager sometimes fills the gap. Most questions we have to go through the support email rather than talking with our account manager.

### "Yext - Worth It."

Pros

Yext is incredibly simple to use. Literally just add your locations and manage the basic NAP information directly from one platform. Nice to be able to suppress outdated and incorrect info. It's kind of like the mafia - while you may not want to pay for a service like this, the alternative is having bad info impact your business. So just do it.

Cons

Yext seems to be getting a bit big for it's britches - I respect the listings aspects, but they're branching too deep into analytics. Like they're having an identity crisis (great at listings, but wanting to be a Google Analytics, etc.) Recommend they stick to what they do well!

Maximum efficiency in ensuring my business information is accurate across all listings online...super time saver, and covers sites we didn't know we were listed through.

Pros

Very easy to use, allows maximum efficiency to keep business information accurate and up-to-date, facilitating even the most minute of business changes(seasonal hours, menus, unexpected closures, etc.) across all major(and minor!) listings.

Cons

Review notifications are not instant--within 24 hours, but not instant. Though the menu widget is impressive--for business with service/food menus that are established in a different format(pdf., etc.) it would be nice to simply upload our existing files, rather than have to build it in the menu widget.

Didn't have a great experience.

Pros

The tool is easy to use and the have a large staff.

Cons

They claim your listings quickly, but you don't own them. When you cancel, they take down all of your listings. There are tools out there that cost less and deliver better results.

I think it is a useful product. I will recommend that my client keep it. Having one dashboard to push out information, especially a food menu with built in schema is a time saver.

Pros

We recently signed our client up for several of the Yext products for restaurants. Having the ability to add menus and have then pushed out to several platforms has been great. It is also nice being able to update Google Local Listing as well as other platforms for hours. Having the ability to send a message to social platforms when the client had to close due to frozen pipes within a few minutes was a great feature.

Cons

I think it is sometimes hard to navigate. When I signed on they offered one-on-one training but have since discontinued it. Some of the features I wanted are for Enterprise level only. I think the analytics are hard to set up without the one-on-one training.

### "An indispensable tool for businesses with a physical location"

Pros

The software as a service product ensures that my business's listings are both correct and identical across all of my listings. When my business underwent a re-branding effort about a year ago, we were able to update our listings with our new branding. This is a MUST-HAVE for all businesses with a physical location.

Cons

Honestly, I have zero complaints. Obviously I have ideas for additional features, but the software does exactly what it's supposed to do.

### "Run, Don't Walk. "

Don't fall for the smooth sales guy. Their support is pathetic. They'll threaten to sue you and blah blah blah. Not sure if we are going to pay them or sue for breach.

Pros

I liked our sales person during the sale process because he knew how to talk up what they did really well.

Cons

It's clunky. It doesn't do what they say it does. Support is pretty much impossible. Our account has never done all they said it would - it wasn't even functioning for the first 45 days - no service credit for that. Then if you don't pay right when they want, they shut down usage and keep the clock ticking.

Pros

I love the ease of inputting in new clients and the amazing customer support. All issues are addressed within 24 hours and we have not struggled with any major issues.

### "After you pay the money, customer service is horrible"

Implementation was difficult. They had us set up new Facebook accounts for all locations and said that posts would cascade from the main site. This didn't work. We have had issues with Google and it takes almost a month to get a response.

Pros

We are able to respond to reviews, but I could have just done this through Google

Cons

The customer support is horrible after implementation. It takes almost a month for Yext to respond to questions and they do not allow you to talk to a real person unless you pay an additional 20%.

Reason for choosing Yext

I thought I was going right to the source and saving money. I wish I would have went with the other option so I could get some support!

### "Right Idea Review for Yext"

Overall it's been a pretty good experience. I just wish we could show them how their map listing is improving since signing on with Yext.

Pros

I like the ease of use, customer support, and also the reporting where I can show them phone calls clicks and how many people clicked "get directions" on their Google map listing.

Cons

Not 100% Sure how it helps Google Map Listing Rankings. I would like a before and after update along the way.

Pros

We used the white label version to offer as a service for our clients. Overall the platform is great and top-notch.

Cons

After doing some research there are many other platforms that offer more for less. Not to mention that as a white label client Yext was competing against me for retail business.

Pros

It's an extremely powerful tool for localized SEO if you know how to use it properly. So many clients have extremely messy and disjointed digital footprints.

Cons
