How much does it help me win? I'm not sure. Pros I like that you can easily assemble a digital sales room to share content for prospects without making threads of content that gets lost. Pros We anticipate getting a lot of use out of the "LiveDoc" capabilities for our ABM efforts in the coming years. We also anticipate that Seismic will eventually replace Microsoft OneDrive entirely as our document repository and Sharepoint as our corporate intranet. Cons It would be nice if content could be displayed and/or shared externally. Seismic's entire pricing model is predicated on each consumer of content not specifically sent something through the system itself having a license. We got the value for money on the platform because it does everything we want. From creating onboarding courses/training material, keeping and storing most of our organisational assets and collaborating with clients and partners. It’s very easy customising everything on Seismic and it saves a lot of our time because you can easily search for assets when you need them and it’s very quick to get results. I love the platform and I enjoy using it because it makes my life a lot easier. Pros I love Seismic because it has helped me and my team with managing assets and training for new members on our team. It has helped us create and design learning journeys and onboarding courses for all our reps and has given us a central repository for most of our organisational assets. It has also help us collaborate with customers and partners through creating experiences and repositories we need fore collaboration with the parties mentioned. It’s also easier to find information with Seismic as you can easily and quickly search for assets. I also love how easy it is to customise works spaces and assets in Seismic, making it easier for collaboration and differentiation between assets and workspaces Cons I haven’t seen any cons yet on Seismic. Pros My laptop fans are screaming right now, however at least the dashboard showed I got an 81 in product knowledge, therefore I did not completely fail. The coaching rooms allow all of my material in one area, so this is okay. I found that the AI features are working so far without crashing. I can rewatch the video if I missed something the first time and I can pickup were I left off. We use Seismic to general product-specific proposals for our salespeople to present to customers as part of our larger response to customer RFPs. My understanding is that there is much more functionality available in Seismic, but all we need it for is proposal generation. Pros The Seismic staff we worked with were always friendly and helpful. Cons It has been very difficult for us to edit/update the LiveDoc content, and being able to do that is essential to our work. Seismic is in the process of finding a solution for us, but they haven't delivered one yet. Reason for choosing Seismic I wasn't part of the team that chose Seismic, but I was part of the team that implemented it. Pros I liked the simplicity of Seismic, it provides a colorful display of data and graphs. Seismic’s detailed breakdown of the content and achievements of each marketing channel independently is great, it allows us to learn a lot and keep comparing between channels and understand the differences better. I liked how Seismic allows us to delve deeper into the details of any marketing channel to know the actual conversion volume, and extract comprehensive data that shows how successful or unsuccessful it is in motivating customers. I liked Seismic LiveDocs, which is very special for automating reporting and collaboration. Cons Seismic connects directly to our multiple channels, collects data, and updates it automatically without errors. CEO Civil Engineering Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Implementation failed, Seismic refused any accommodation, charged 2 years of license fees to cancel" April 2, 2025 1.0 Our experience was the classic "over-promise during sales" and "under-deliver on execution." We had to scrap the implementation after a year. We had been forced to sign a 3-year contract upfront (bad sign!!), and then Seismic refused any accommodation and didn't take any responsibility for the failure. They charged us 2 years of license fees to cancel the 3-year contract. This was especially offensive after they had billed us every hour of support time for the implementation on top of the license fees. This was a major lesson learned - don't ever pay in full upfront and don't work with companies who use glitzy, high-pressure sales approaches. Pros The promise of Seismic was good: Allow us to solve our content management challenge and automate our proposal generation. It didn't work though. Cons Seismic turned out to be too complex and cumbersome for our team to implement effectively, and it became clear that the software would not actually help solve our content management problem. Pros Seismic is a great tool to organize documents based on whatever factors work best for you. It also is a great way to share documents across departments and even external partners. Cons Sometimes the interface can look a little cluttered once you get enough documents in there. We use it company-wide, changing permissions between teams, to allow everyone to access important documentation that'll help them in their roles. For example, I work in marketing but my content is incredibly important for sales enablement. I store it all on Seismic so the sales team have a one stop shop to find anything they need, without having to ask me for it. Cons It's not an incredibly intuitive platform. I'd also like it if it sent reminders for approvals as a lot of the time, documents need to go through a string of stakeholders for approval before publishing, but these stakeholders forget. I wish I had known something like this existed because my previous employer could definitely use it! Pros Seismic is very easy to use and has been adopted widely by our company. As part of our sales team, I use Seismic daily to locate marketing/sales materials that can easily be shared with our customers and distributor partners. I also love the using the NewsCenter to find keep an eye out for relevant company announcements that might impact my customers. Finally the WorkSpace is a great way to share files and collaborate with others instead of sending attachments back and forth via email. Cons I really can't think of anything I would improve about Seismic. It meets all my needs. No need to download a copy, every time you search for it, you can leverage the latest copy and update the document. We do have a cloud based version however do not have it integrated to our Sales CRM Dynamics 365 yet. On top of that there are features within Seismic we have yet to take advantage of such as LiveSocial, Lessonly and MicroApps. The teams short term goals are to engage with our heavy Sales & Marketing users first to get them on board with how to use Seismic for their most efficient needs. We have a low internal user adoption rate so increasing that first will allow us to explore more features in the future. Pros The Insights dashboards feature immense amounts of data to capture both within Seismic as well as pull in results from CRM integrated products. Plus there is lots of flexibility to create custom dashboards that meet any and all of our needs. Cons We are experiencing issues with LiveForm generation of files as a preview. January 11, 2021 5.0 In the beginning it was a little challenging for me to learn Seismic and I am not a super tech-savvy person. Once I received the adequate training and discovered how easy it is to import our company's marketing materials to Live Send, I use it anytime I'm asked to send our materials. That could be daily or weekly depending on the opportunity. Our clients can learn about our equity strategies and I'm able to tell which ones they spent the most time on and have garnered the most interest. I can then share that valuable feedback with my colleagues. It's also a lot of fun to use! Pros I like how quick and easy it is to create a file that contains several documents and it allows me to see which marketing materials our clients find the most interesting and useful. Once I was trained on Seismic and learned all of the features of the site, I became very comfortable using it on a daily basis and the data it shares allows my team to focus on specific areas and strategies for prospective and existing clients. We had an issue with adoption at the beginning and they flew two folks out to our HQ in Boston to do an onsite training session with our Sales Team and it was greatly appreciated and received. Since then we have seen adoption skyrocket. Pros Seismic has quickly become a game-changer for our sales team. The ability to see insights into what collateral is being viewed, for how long, what might be outdated or not landing well with prospects has been invaluable for our Marketing and Enablement teams in prioritizing our creation of collateral to our Sales Teams. Secondly, the ability to turn ordinary documents (i.e proposal, order form etc.) into virtual and fillable LiveDocs for our team that in-turn are trackable has been huge! Cons The initial lift to launch the software is large. The time to set up the software, upload documents, organize and tag collateral was time-consuming and if not done correctly can cause user adoption to below at the time of launch, which is what we initially ran into. However, Seismic was great in flying on-site to help us relaunch the software and get us in an optimal state in the backend for us to show value and ROI to our team and once the sales team was able to see all they were able to do and accomplish the initial lift was worth the overall outcome.
