Pros I like some of the features this program has built in such as billing for hourly rates, and ability to download/send invoices right from the software. Cons It has A LOT of strange glitches that seem to still need work. It freezes occasionally, and I can never get the side bar timer to work. I have also had issues with generating invoices depending on how you put the payments in the client file. (PP says this is normal, BUT it is incredibly NON user friendly.) There seems to be more interest in trying to justify their flaws, than to fix them- which is frustrating. This software is also spendy. I ultimately selected PracticePanther and could not be more pleased. It is intuitive, cloud based, and seamlessly integrates with other cloud based technologies, e.g. email, calendaring, document storage, credit card processing, etc It is a very user friendly portal to running your entire law practice. The invoicing is amazing bordering on magical. What years ago was a time consuming and cumbersome process has been reduced to a few clicks of the mouse. My clients love the secure messaging portal. Pros Everything is in one place. It makes my job infinitely easier to document and track everything. In fact, I don't know how I ever ran my practice without it. It saves me so much time and everything is exactly where you left it. Cons The accounting for what's due, billable etc. is always wrong. It doesn't matter how much time you waste trying to balance what is paid and what is owed, the numbers are always incorrect. It also likes to take bills and put a negative sign in front of the amount owed. Pros The integration of calendar, client contact and billing, as well as the ability to utilize the full functionality of the software from any location. Creating templates that can be used for every client is a great feature, as well. Cons There are some features that would be helpful, such as the ability to customize more of the application to suit one's personal use (such as allowing a legal assistant or secretary to automatically calendar events on the attorney's calendar, and having the ability to set the default length of time for appointments. PracticePanther is user-friendly, easy to learn, easy to set up and modify as you go along, easy to maintain, and easy on the budget. On top of that, customer service is top-notch. I have had an excellent experience all around with PracticePanther and gladly endorse this platform. Cons I wish this software also filled out immigration petitions with the data I collect using the intake documents, but that isn't what this platform is all about and that is okay. Law Practice Used the software for: ### "Simple to Use" March 30, 2015 5.0 In our firm, we were looking for a CRM software that would be easy to learn and train others in the firm to use. Practice Panther has been by far the best software we found when it comes to simplicity and security. I was able to learn how to use the software with ease and train others with it as well. Before signing up, I was able get a detailed tour throughout the site from the account manager David. He contacted me and offered a personal demo on the different features and how I can use the account to the best of my advantage. . I was shown the different features that are available once you begin using PracticePanther such as the Client portal login, customization of our account and the mobile app. The mobile app is great as it allows our firm to be able to view our cases, and accounts at any time. It’s also beneficial because it combines about 5 different programs we were previously using in just one software such as QuickBooks and Time Sheets. Instead of managing my invoices, clients, and cases separately, PracticePanther does this all in one. I am thrilled with the software and the superior customer service I've received. Absolutely the best company for legal management software on the market. Pros The Practice Panther software is easy to navigate and keeps all of my important information organized. I love how automated everything is. For instance, when I need to record time or send an invoice, the software streamlines these tasks and saves me a significant amount of time. Cons Learning that I needed to add a "participant" when sending a secure message through the client portal was a little frustrating. Cons If there was a way to pair it up with our Ooma phone system, so that it could automatically log phone calls by numbers that are saved in the system...that would be really cool. January 19, 2018 3.0 I really appreciate the patience of the support staff. I'm of a different generation and according to my sons I am severely technologically challenged. Even though I use a computer all day every day, I fear he is right. You guys put me at ease when I asked questions and I truly appreciate that. Pros Practice Panther has functions which, once I learn to use them, will hopefully make my job a lot easier and much less time consuming. As far as entering time and expenses, it's a breeze. Creating matters and contact is great too. I'm a Paralegal but also the Business Manager so the financial end is taking a bit more effort to learn. The support staff I've dealt with has been very knowledgeable and helpful all round. The fact that two out of the three had great people skills put me at ease and made me more comfortable with being open to trying new things. Cons It may be too soon to answer this question. Some functions I was told would be available are not. In Practice Panther's defense, that information did NOT come from you. It may have just been an idea of someone in our meeting; not sure. Once a couple of issues are corrected i.e. PP creates a "workable check template" so I don't have to waste money on new checks, our "Role" issue is corrected, and the learning curve is mostly over I will have none of the concerns I have at this time, probably only new ones. Pros The ease of creating client and matter files and the billing. Everything is very intuitive and user friendly. If you have any tiny difficulty with something, the videos are very quick and easy to follow. Plus, the customer service is excellent because you get a human being immediately. Cons Really nothing--other than it costs money. But the monthly subscription (or annual subscription) is incredibly reasonable for what you get between the software and the customer service. I tried the free trial for 30 days and ended up going on the White Panther plan. The software is great all around and has many features I will ever use, but maybe one day I will start getting into some of their other features. One of the things that caught me the most was how responsive their team was to any of my questions, any time of the day. When I signed up, I was called by a very friendly account manager named Jessica. Throughout the 30 days she made sure I knew how to best use the software and was there for any of my questions (as well as Amanda and David on the live support). Pros Feature-rich, everything I need and more. Easy to use, great support. Cons A lot of features I may not use, but for now it’s great to know I have the ability to scale into them.
