October 14, 2017 5.0 Pros There are so many things! The simple nature of the flow in terms of setting up the Contest, configuring users, voters, judges and admins is extremely well thought out. It's easy to add images, and video and the base templating system is nearly foolproof. The knowledge base is outstanding and well put together and unlike a lot of SaaS out there actually up to date....like almost to the minute as they continue to release new value added features. They have designed the software so that it's not only Contestant and Voter friendly, but with a keen eye towards creating and capturing value for the Contest Thrower like us. The data capture is extensive and the Judging platform easy to setup with multiple options on weighted scoring in a "blind" environment. Just about everything in the package is flexible, extensible and darn near drag and drop ease of use. The learning curve is pretty short and the support team is very responsive, knowledgeable and truly eager to help your Contest succeed. Not only do they almost always have the answer right at hand, but they follow up after the fact to make sure that you were able to implement specific features or customizations. The service is really top notch! Cons Some of the HTML is a little wonky, but that might be more on my end than on theirs! It would be cool to be able to bulk upload images and videos from the admin side, but it's really not a barrier to getting a Contest set up quickly and effectively when everything else about the platform is so easy to use. May 4, 2021 5.0 ContestPad allowed our non-profit to continue supporting arts education with our yearly contest even during Covid. Without the platform we may not have had our competition this year, which means some art programs would have gone with out the additional support they need in this rough financial time. Pros We needed to transition to on an online competition after Covid. After looking at a number of other contest platforms, we settled on Launchpad6 / ContestPad because they could handle each of our specific requirements. While there was a learning curve to the set up, \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] and his team were always at hand to help with any and all of my questions. If I had to list the positives simply it would look like this: -flexibility of platform. -the ability to totally brand the contest to our design. -the ability to share both video and multiple photos. -absolutely great customer service. Cons The learning curve. But, in defense of the platform, this is not what I usually do. I knew going in that I may struggle, and the fact that they were so helpful even before we signed up, really confirmed that Launchpad6 / ContestPad was the best choice. Director Higher Education Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Wonderfully Powerful Tool" May 6, 2019 4.0 The folks at ContestPad have been great to work with and were always very responsive. My experience was positive and we plan on using ContestPad moving forward. They were lifesavers for our program. Pros I appreciated the functionality of the program. We run a rather complicated competition and this was the only tool on the market that met all of our needs. Cons It took awhile to learn how to use the tool. I had some concerns that the responsiveness to questions or issues might be an issue since the company is on the other side of the planet. These concerns were utterly unfounded. I've never encountered a more helpful, responsive organization - questions were answered and problems resolved within 12 hours every single time. The product itself has a small learning curve, especially if used 'out of the box'. We had some special requirements that I was able to implement by adjusting CSS behind the scenes. We did have the need for a more complex piece of custom functionality and contracted with Launchpad to build it. That process went exceptionally well - after receiving our requirements, Launchpad provided a very reasonable quote. The new capability was provided very quickly and seamlessly. The platform itself is powerful and easy to use. We haven't entered a judging phase yet, but I've tested that functionality and it too is easy to use and efficient. Their IT folks were reticent and their employees neophytes. That said the solution was cost effective, turnkey and as it turns out a real crowd pleaser for the 2000 plus employees across three countries. The IT team at ContestPad helped us design a great site and held our hands from start to finish. Can't wait to start our next contest! Used the software for: ### "Fantastic Experience with Amazing Customer Support" January 10, 2017 5.0 We needed a platform for our International Student Speech Contest that was user-friendly, easily customized and that allowed for multiple judging rounds and we found all of that and more with LaunchPad6. The platform itself is available to customize as you want. The entry page is simple and concise so there is no confusion or problems with contestants submitting their videos. I have been extremely impressed with the professionalism and responsiveness of the two owners. They have set up Skype calls and emailed countless times to make sure I had all of the information and support I needed. Our experience was so fantastic that we have come back to use LaunchPad6 for our second annual contest and a few other projects. The versatility of the platform is a wonderful feature that allows you to make each contest unique and perfectly suited to your needs.
