Pros

i do like the fact i can post all my jobs to this page and my guys can see what their schedule looks like and that they can access it on their phones.

Cons

i thought this software was an awesome thing i had great help getting set up into the software and the salesman was great but i got to the 6 month mark and they started changing everything as far as the schedule layout and the way you set up customers. i try to get help and the first person i talked to told me my programming on my computer was out of date, which is false. then i had troubles setting customers up so i had to press the chat button and that's a joke within itself, its really hard to explain stuff over a chat it would be nice if there was a phone number to call for assistance but there is not. You don't ever think your system has has flaws with is terribly wrong because this systems has problems constantly. i have tried to get help several times and its a joke 90% of the time. i would probably never recommend this software to anyone.

I love the relationships I’ve been able to develop with the Housecall Pro staff! They are so selfless and really care about their Customers. They are innovative and always looking for a way to help us out!

Pros

Housecall Pro has changed how we do business for the better! It saves us countless hours. We have streamlined so many of our processes. Our customers love the communication it provides. It’s been one of the best business decisions we’ve made!

Cons

I’ve struggled a bit with running reports but that could just be a user error and lack of knowledge on my part.

### "Great product, even greater people "

GREAT! Seriously! Even though we lost some pretty nice features in the switch, we have all the major features we needed at a MUCH more affordable price point. The customer service and blue bubble help is second to none.

Pros

We used a different software prior to attending one of housecall’s mastermind events. After meeting the people behind the team I knew they had something over there. We made the switch a few months later and haven’t looked back. It’s been great!

Cons

We lost some higher end functions in the software switch. We lost the multiple option quotes (housecall already resolved this now). We lost built in financing (we’d really like this back). And we lost on screen caller Id/automatic tracking of where the call came from (we used to be able to generate marketing phone numbers that would track where all calls came from and also record each call and attach them to each job.. (this was pretty nice, but not worth all the extra dough it was costing us)

This software does almost everything you could ever ask for if you run a service based business

Cons

There are a few slight bugs that could be addressed and I would love a tablet optimized version

### "HCP changes the game "

Overall its been incredible. When we have issues they get resolved quickly and the support is always there within 24 hours. HCP is constantly evolving and providing new tools to pros. My entire staff love the ease of use of HCP. We run our business explicitly through HCP and also use HCP in a variety of different ways, such as tracking employees time and also post card email campaigns to name a few.

Pros

I like that it is simple to use and implement. I also like that HCP is open to feedback and ideas and constantly evolving to provide improvements and features to help pros run their businesses more seamlessly.

Cons

Hands down, the tablet app and function is terrible, not usable in my opinion.

It solve so much which I explained already having my customers data info all at the push of a button ready at my fingertips anytime anywhere is amazing!

Pros

It’s a mobile office, computerized Secretary, personal assistant, organizer/filer, and just a must have, all in one system keeping me focused more on the physical work and customer care that I want to provide, which only this has allowed me the time to do so! Housecall Pro absolutely leaves a HUGE impression of professionalism with easy invoicing/payment systems as well! The fact I don’t have to align the sun moon and stars with mine and the clients schedule just to collect balance owed. All they have to do is click and pay right from the emailed invoice! It has set us apart from the heard of other service companies out there! So the more I think about this while typing this, maybe I shouldn’t leave this review and help my competitors out? I need them out there chasing their tails so I can run more jobs that they don’t have the time for 🤔!

Cons

Accessing and use of Administer portal on mobile device would be nice! I can’t do curtain things on mobile app that the admin desktop version can only provide and doing that stuff at 10pm isn’t the most convenient way for me!

Really loved this software, and the ability to customize invices and letter head on the printouts. Really made me look professional to all of my customers.

Pros

Loved it! Great software, lots of features, easy to use, and best of all, great customer service! Loved the comminication and notification features (email, text message, etc). Great! Very professional looking in front of my customers. Great value for the money.

Cons

Honestly there are very little drawbacks to this software. The biggest issues I had was the limited features available to plug into the software.

### "Simple and User Friendly"

It "closes the loop" -- It allows our entire workflow to work seamlessly from the first contact the the "thank you" email. I no longer have to go behind all our service calls to complete them, send invoices or add material. The field tech can complete everything and take payment and the customer loves the experience of receiving the appointment reminders and especially the "on the way" texts.

Pros

I love that I can send estimates, approve estimates, schedule, bill, and send follow up reminders all from one seamless app. The support is second to none and the community of professionals they have built is a great, positive resource!

Cons

Nothing -- I love it and it has been tone of the prime movers in the growth of our small business

Pretty good. Good customer service. Good layout. Good pricing. Its fair and easy to work with.

Pros

It runs and flows fairly easily. I haven't had too many issues besides it not saving addresses for the customer and not the parent billing in the wrong slots. Its pretty simple and a very comfortable lay out.

Cons

The mobile app is an issue. You can hardly see anything, it doesn't load properly, doesn't let me add jobs half the time. Its pretty glitchy and I am personally not a fan.

### " HouseCall Pro"

I had some reach out to me via email and was willing to chat online over the weekend. I asked if he had a number that I could call and talk to him. He said he couldn't provide that. After a different technician contacted me on Monday I was able to talk through ALL my questions over the phone. You almost lost my business because of this. So, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, keep the communication lines "open" for a call center person to be able to walk through any all issues. In my opinion communication is EVERYTHING in business and this point alone will set you apart from every other company and will give you 10 fold returns!!

Pros

Its fast. No drag time. Easy uploading. Simple for the most part. Each business is different so the needs obviously change based on the structure of the business. I own a paint company so for me it plays out pretty straightforward.

Cons

Access points on the app are a bit odd. There are various ways to get to the info you need which is both good and bad. I would suggest one access point for all info if that makes any sense. Under 'Scheduling', 'timeline', I would like to see a full calendar year at a glance on the app vs. just a scroll from month to month. Also a BIG plus would be to have the ability to upload short video segments vs. just uploaded pics. That would be HUGE for my business.

We have seen an incredible increase in reviews since using HCP. We really like that they automate so many features for you. Their online support is phenomenal, it seems like they really are looking out for your business. I appreciate their extra online meet ups and groups.

Pros

Time tracking for employees is made easy through clocking in and out on the app. Time entries are easy to edit and update should the need be. Recurring service agreements have been a great feature to help grow the service side of our company.

Cons

I wish that service agreements could be accessed via app.

So far I think this software is pretty good with the exception of the texting problem. I haven’t used all the features yet because I am easing myself into it and getting used to each feature before I move on to the next. I’m hoping that it will be worth the full $200 when I’m done. I was very hesitant to make such a sizable investment monthly.

Pros

My employees know exactly what their schedule it is when I make a change.

Cons

I cannot set up texts outside of the ones that are already automated to go to my customers. Typically I set up their appointments and have a text to go out about that, and then the weekend before their appointment I send a reminder text which I am unable to do with this software. I would really like it if that was amended and I could have the capability to make this important reminder to my customers.

Pros

HCP is easy to use and customize. It has awesome (and seamless) integration with QuickBooks Online and many other programs which makes our lives so much easier. I spend way less time on bookkeeping now that my invoices and payments are pushed directly to QBO. Our techs love the app and the ability to send the customer a text message that they are on their way to the job. The best part is that the whole HCP team is SO accessible to their customers. They hold a weekly FaceBook live meeting with their Pros (as they call us) where we learn about new updates and get to interact directly with the ownership of the company.

Cons

The reporting section is improving. Right now to do a sales commission report you have to download the Excel report and parse it yourself. Would love to see this on my Dashboard.

Pros

This software has paid for itself! We were loosing so much money having paper receipts and using a joint calendar app prior to Housecall pro. We love how it shows us who owes us money. It’s so easy to send a bill. Customers have the option of entering in their own cars info through a link sent with the bill. We have had zero issues with Housecall pros card readers. We can still accept checks and cash and mark it off as paid. We love being able to look at job history for our customers. I highly recommend this service!!

Cons

I don’t like how it calculates job totals on the app. I would love to be able to see a break down of my job totals alone or my co-workers per month and per current year to date totals combined or alone per employee. I don’t like how it totals estimates into the figure I see on the app.

Housecall Pro is not only an amazing product, but the company has created an impressive culture and community of Pros. They have very responsive Facebook communities lead by amazing administrators. They are constantly adding new features to the software, which shows that they really listen to their customers.

Pros

This software completely revolutionized our business. It handles all of the tasks where we were previously wasting time. Now ALL of the following tasks are automated (saving not less than 6 hours of work a day): scheduling, appointment confirmation, appointment reminders, customer follow-up, review requests, invoicing, online payments, and integrations with other essential apps such as Quickbooks.

Cons

Our industry is super small, so we had to be a little creative as to how to implement some of the awesome Housecall Pro features.

### "A step above the rest"

As the dispatcher to a busy company, this software is the only thing that helps organize the chaos. It has functions to help intuitively handle the ins-and-outs of the "house call" style service industry.

Pros

It automates communication while enabling direct connection between the customer and the teams. "You can respond to any notification you receive from us, even texts and emails, and we will see it."

Cons

My con is the HVAC pro: it works very well for the intricacies of their industry. I wish it would consider more of the hospitality end.

Customer tracking, technition time tracking, gross sales, no more lost paper work orders, no searching back through the file cabinenets or file boxes to find customer history. We love HCP!

Pros

Ease of dispatching and user friendly app for feild techs. Intergrates with Google calander

Cons

Automatic tech time tracking would be great. Since technicians already select " on my way, arrive and depart, this information could be automatically loaded onto a time sheet. Maybe even payroll intergration? Would like to be able to choose (1) person for sales credit, instead of credit given to all techs assigned the job.

Reason for choosing Housecall Pro

Cost and customer service. HCP was enthusiastic about getting us on board and helped get us set up with 0 problems. The other system we were considering made us feel like they were doing us a favor by allowing us to work with them and that we were not established enough to care about our little startup.

Almost daily, one of us says, "I love HCP!!" We have been through several service software programs and NONE of them beat HCP!!

Pros

If we are unable to be in the office, we are able to run our company with our phones or ipads. The fact that we can TEXT invoices, has definitely helped us get paid. Have a quick/easy question, no need to call and sit on hold! Just ask the Blue Chat Bubble (BCB). Within a few minutes, you will have the answer you need! Also, if you have a suggestion that HCP should add to their software, send it in to the BCB as well. This software is always updating to newer and better things. The Facebook group is AMAZING!! Daily, I read the Pros posts/questions/comments...and I learn SO much!!

Cons

This software REALLY needs a pause/hold button for work orders that are needing equipment/parts ordered or are waiting on them to deliver. A dedicated area for listing HVAC equipment would be great as well. Then once a maintenance agreement is created, the equipment could auto populate. (GAME CHANGER)

I enjoy using it. I use it every single day of the week. I rely on the software to keep my business going.

Pros

When I first found this software, I was a new business owner. The price caught my eye. It was well under $100 a month. It seemed like they were a growing company such as myself. So I gave them a shot. I couldn't be happier. I feel like HCP is growing with all of us and we all support each other in the HCP community

Cons

I wish their was a customizable drop down list. I could name the list "Equipment". Then each customer would have this drop down list so I could put model and serial numbers, filter sizes, belt sizes and whatever else I needed. This drop down would be just like the price list. I would customize it so I had every equipment brand for heating, ac, refrigeration etc. Then sub category like filter size so I could add every filter size, belt size so I could add every belt size etc.
