I like that it the UI is smooth on a tablet or phone but absolutely a mess on a computer . I like that when you try and get a deposit for anything over 1250$ they want your customer personal ID , there card number & my personal last 3 month bank statements . ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT

Absolutely the worst management app full of bloat wear That’s not even the worst of it Customer service ? They’ll answer but you want to be transferred to the department you need it’s not an option , supervisor ? Not an option . Been using Housecall pro for 5months . And I never received my 100$ credit to Angie’s list or thumbtack . Never received my 100$ amazon gift card . And now after processing over 5000$ via service call sales . As soon as I make a full installation sale . They withhold my entire down payment . So I am now unable to purchase the equipment needed . For an installation this Saturday . And there requesting not only my own personal information but also MY CUSTOMERS!! Photos of there ID photos of there credit card & SCREENSHOTS OF OUR CONVERSATION!!! Can you believe it ? Absolutely nuts I’ve called 3 times today 8am 430pm 6:00pm Every single time they have said they’ll have someone contact me and the 1st and 2nd time they both told me I would have my deposit by 5 today . And someone from payment processing would call to confirm . Neither has happend. Once everything is settled I will be canceling my Housecall pro account 350$ a month & it’s a complete joke of a service .

Really easy to get going, everything is in one place, and you can integrate almost any other software you're using with it. I use CompanyCam as well and having everything sync and create jobs automatically is clutch.

Pros

Customer support is really good. We had good training and I could always get a response if I had any questions. Being able to schedule and take payments all in one place is a huge asset for me as I don't have time to juggle multiple softwares in the field.

Cons

Housecall Pro is a little more expensive then some of the other softwares to get into. I used them with a different company, but have used another software for my own business. I like Housecall Pro more, it's just not quote in the budget right now.

Pros

Housecall Pro has excellent security and customer support. It is so easy to do invoicing and to schedule payments. No bugs and issues which makes this software value for money!

Cons

There are no cons about Housecall Pro. This software helps to keep my life and my billing in order. Highly recommend.

It has turned our business around as far as billing and scheduling service. It has saved us money in the time we would put into reporting and tracking before it does most everything for us.

Pros

We love using HCP in our office it has streamlined so many processes for us. We use it for billing, scheduling and vehicle tracking as well as customer tracking. Their customer service is great and timely as well as being a good value for the cost.

Cons

Sometimes they implement new features without notice so there is a learning curve sometimes in finding where they moved buttons

Housecall Pro has served our small business well in the past, but as we’ve grown and begun working more with property managers and larger commercial clients, the limitations have become a significant issue—especially with invoicing. A recent change to how invoices and images are sent has completely disrupted how we work with property managers. Previously, we could send one neatly bundled PDF that included the invoice and selected images. Now, the system sends the invoice as one PDF and each image as a separate attachment in the same email. While this might be fine for the occasional homeowner job, it creates massive inefficiencies for our clients who must now manage dozens of files instead of one clean document—especially when we do multiple jobs for them per day. Even worse, there’s no batch download option for the images stored in the system, which means I now have to manually download each image and use third-party tools to reassemble my own PDF before sending it. This completely negates the usefulness of sending emails directly from Housecall Pro. Additionally, the software now blocks invoice resends for 24 hours if there are multiple recipient email addresses—claiming it’s to prevent spamming. This adds another frustrating layer of delay when trying to service clients quickly. We’ve voiced our concerns, provided screenshots and videos, and the company eventually acknowledged the issue—but they’ve said they have no plans to revert or improve this. That’s the most disappointing part: not the bugs or even the missteps, but the unwillingness to listen to power users whose businesses rely on core functionality. I still believe Housecall Pro is a solid tool for small, residential-focused service businesses. But if you’re scaling or servicing more complex accounts like property managers or HOAs, this platform may no longer meet your needs. I hope management takes this feedback seriously—it’s not coming from a place of dislike for the product, but frustration with the direction it’s going.

Pros

’ve been a user for well over five years, and when I first started out with a smaller team and mostly residential clients, Housecall Pro worked very well. It’s easy to learn, the interface is user-friendly, and the CRM and invoicing tools are intuitive. I also appreciate the seamless integration between mobile and desktop versions, which helped streamline operations early on.

Cons

The rollout of new features often seems rushed and poorly tested. Critical, established features break with no warning, and the support team (which is only available via web chat) often isn’t aware of the changes, let alone trained to help resolve them. Support frequently changes hands mid-conversation, making it difficult to resolve more complicated issues. There’s no real phone-based support—only an answering service that redirects you back to chat. The most frustrating trend has been the introduction of new “features” that essentially repackage previously included functionality, which now require additional fees. These business practices have made it difficult to trust the platform as a long-term partner.

Their sales tactics are aggressive, and their company is so disconnected that customer support can't give you factual information about why the sales team is still reaching out despite numerous requests not to be contacted.

I have never used the platform. I set up a demo to try it out for a client two years ago and never completed the demo because we found another platform. I'm writing this review because they refuse to stop contacting me despite numerous requests and their "confirmation" that my email has been removed from their database.

Cons

Their sales tactics are aggressive, and they're unwilling to remove me from their sales database despite numerous requests. Their customer support reps say I was removed in January 2026, yet I continue to receive calls in April 2026. When I called this out, they stopped answering my inquiries.

Pros

Housecall pro saves us time & money on our overhead. For a minimal fee the program does so much! With the click of a button an estimate becomes an invoice, and with another click the invoice is sent to the customer. There is so little needed to do in order to close out a completed project. Housecall lists all the outstanding invoices and other valuable data all on one page "Dashboard". Although the program is very simple to use on your computer, tablet or phone, if you do have questions the support staff is so helpful. They have answered all of my questions in a way that was easy for me to understand & are always polite and professional . They are constantly improving housecall, so if you want to make any suggestions for improvements, they are all ears!

Cons

We are very pleased with the benefits of using housecall.

Overall, I love the software. It is constantly being upgraded, which is why we've stuck with it even when we felt there were other options better suited for our needs. This has proven to be a great move for us because they have added features that have greatly improved the software over the years.

Pros

Very user friendly, encompasses a lot of different tools into one platform and consistently adding more features to it at least quarterly. It is also very affordable compared to other similar software options.

Cons

Sometimes it would be nice to customize it a little more for our needs. Also, would like a better routing option (it is currently being built up better).

Time sheets, needs more choices. PTO, breaks etc While it allows for property profile information and attaching that information to an Job, that information does not appear on invoice

I am quite sure I said it all above but I hope to provide lots of advertising for Housecall Pro going forward!

Pros

They have good sales people who do not know the limitations of what they are selling.

Cons

They did not perform and waisted a lot of our time trying to make it work with our needs and did not offer to refund our money when they could not perform as they claimed they could during the sale!!
