Text & email reminders to technicians and clients. Postcards for promotion. Simplicity of operating.

Cons

How creating an appt on the desktop is different from the mobile app. It takes some getting used to when you are used to the mobile app then go into the office and use it.

Outstanding service software! We are blessed to have found this amazing software.

Pros

I love how much this software has made our business grow and keeps our hvac business organized on a daily basis. We love that it has our customer database, it is a dispatching software, it invoices after work is completed, it allows us to write estimates, it has daily reporting, it keeps track of due invoices, it sends our customers text messages about our upcoming jobs and time of arrival and the customer service!

Cons

Just like every online software, it has computer glitches.

Online scheduling

Pros

Online scheduling feature is very easy to setup and use. The app is easy and works great. Everything is simple to setup and use.

Cons

You can't customize what information the online scheduler asks for. I wish it included forms for collecting information. Also there is no inventory management.

The HouseCall Pro team has been excellent to work with. It's a cloud service, so any feature request has to fit into the larger customer base and can take a long time to be implemented, but that is the same for any software service.

Pros

Customer communication and flow from estimate to job.

Cons

The reporting section of program could be more robust. (It is my understanding that the package above the one we use has enhanced reporting.)

We're a Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning company that needed a software to set up appointments with scheduling to technicians (app) and customers and also with an invoicing report structure that fitted our needs. While on it, a Service Plans Agreement has been added as a feature that was also on our bucket list (still needs minor improvements). What we have liked the most is the Customer support and the developers interest on improving this software.

Pros

User friendly, great customer support and constant improvements

Cons

GPS tracking history. Once this is upgraded then will try signing up for it

The customer service is amazing. You ask a question through the message "bubble", they answer your question and then someone calls you to make sure things are going ok. My parents don't call to check up as much as this company does. The HCP program is made to give your customer the best experience and bring you more customers. I'm just a guy from WV that started a family business. I have no reason to give this review besides just being more than satisfied with this company/family.

Pros

No other programs can come close to the price of this one. But don't let the price fool you. You get everything you could ever need for a fraction of what you'd pay anywhere else.

Cons

I can't think of anything at the moment.

It just keeps me so organized day in and day out!

Pros

It makes us look so professional from the customers point of view, also a great platform for gaining Google reviews. It also syncs up with QBO. I could literally go on and on for paragraphs. Love Housecall PRO

Cons

Would like to see the Service agreement feature become more polished. We need to be able to attach certain photos with certain addresses when there are multiple locations under one customer name to be able to keep track of what AC units are at certain addresses. Right now they're all lumped together. I would like to see this get fixed!

We are an HVAC company and I'm very satisfied with House Call Pro.

Pros

What is there not to like. It has everything that we need to run our company. Our customers like that they get a notification of their appt, and when we are on the way. There are so many things that we love, convenience, on track with clients and employees, inputting information. ESPECIALLY customer service. When i run into a issue they are there within 2 minutes.

Cons

We wish there was a way we can list discounts. We are always on the go and wish it would auto populate.

Pros

The ease of use and the client interaction. Our customers love to get updates on where the technician is and when they complete the job. We also love the Quickbooks online integration.

Cons

We wish there was a feature for monthly contract jobs. The workaround is pretty frustrating to bill a customer a flat rate once a month. Also a focus on employee scheduling conflicts, time off request, and availability would be a tremendous addition to this software.

Pros

It is nice to be able to conduct all business through the app, from booking to collecting on the job. I also like the text, the customer gets with my techs pic and profile, when he is on the way or their home. Once the job is complete the customer receives a text from HCP with a Google review request, I find this very helpful in getting our name out in front of our competition.

Cons

There are a few things that could be added to make the job more streamlined, but HCP is constantly working to make sure they are user friendly.

Overall my experience with Housecall Pro has been excellent.

Pros

I like that allot of what a HVAC contractor needs to run and grow a business are included in the design of the program. They are always taking feedback from users on how to improve the software or add features that we request when possible. The online community support is a first for me and I absolutely love it! Being a customer never felt so good especially knowing that they have the products to help my business grow and succeed in these challenging times. Their software is a must have for any business looking to grow.

Cons

I haven't found anything up to now that I can honestly say I wish were different. I think my biggest challenge for me was just allowing myself to incorporate their software into my daily business habits. I'm glad I did.

Pros

HCP helps me track estimates, jobs and invoicing so much better than I could have imagined. I’m also able to send out (automatic) reminders to customers every month, 6 months, 12 months, etc. It helps me keep in contact with the customer much easier as well. I’m learning more about my business by having this data at my fingertips. I get so many compliments about how professional it looks.

Cons

At first I felt the owner should have easier access to his employees’ schedule. That has been figured out and resolved.

Everything is good except customer service. If you want to buy, or add some feature, there's definitely someone there waiting to take your money. If you have an issue, it may take several hours before the blue chat bubble to respond, and still they're of no help.

Pros

The ease in which to conduct business with my customers. And now I have to add additional characters in order to submit my review.

Cons

No customer service to help with issues. The blue chat bubble has been of no help for my billing issue. My supplemental billing has gone up substantially, and I'm now being billed for estimates and zero invoice activity. Not happy with the bait and switch on pricing.

I really like the ability to sync to QuickBooks! Save tons of time! Ability to schedule multiple techs on one job and set up reoccurring jobs.

Cons

I would like to be able to have attachments on the customers profiles. It would be easier to locate rather than looking at each job, on the desktop.

Our business thrives on HouseCall and the team that implements it is always open to suggestions. It is great to have a feeling of being on a team with a digital platform, service program.

Pros

Ease of use. All employees adapt to its use quickly. Scheduling options work great. Location options for workers are handy, especially the tracking options.

Cons

Lack of additional forms pre and post checkout. Ease of use makes it less adaptable for experienced users who may want a bit more out of a product.

Pros

I cant give great service unless I receive great service. We pride our selves an absolutley exemplary customer service, offering our clients custom solutions outside of the norm. Of our competitors and house call pro does the same for us. House call pro has always been very quick to reply to message and inquiries on software questions which are typically user error (sorry guys) It's rare to see someone care as much as they do and take there business and clients so seriously

Cons

I wish some of the features in the web portal were also on the app. Like the ability to submit multi option proposals. But we've worked around that and just use both web portal and app in the field

Pros

We went back and forth between 3 different softwares. Housecall was by far the easiest to use, they have every tool we need and a bunch more. The great thing about them is they are constantly improving and they take feedback from actual users. I would highly recommend them.

I am fully satisfied. I have nothing negative to say.

Overall it is well worth the money. Don't let the nit picking in the cons above deter you from using this software as it will make your life easier.

Pros

Options on Estimates, Ease of transfer from Estimate to Job, Reporting & Tracking

Cons

With any software there are always some challenges. The Service/Maintenance Agreement section needs a lot of work. Cannot delete old entries, can only send one option to customer and overall difficult to set-up. Assignments on mobile app is a bit frustrating because you get an alert, but if you click on the alert in your phone, it never takes you to the Estimate or Job assignment that was given to you. You have to spend a minute or two to figure out what was assigned to you.

Overall experience has been excellent and we can already see a difference. Our old way of doing business was very cumbersome and slow and had too many moving parts. Job tickets were lost, never billed, follow up with customers was not happening, estimates not followed up on, etc.. So far after using for just a short time, we can see how streamlined we can be and how our communication with our customers will be so much better.

Pros

As with any new software, there is a learning curve. HCP is with you every step of the way through sales, implementation, support and training. We used the same software for 27 years so this was a big move for our Company and technicians. Thankfully HCP has our backs!!

Cons

Since no software could be tailored to our specific Company, there are processes that we are used to that HCP isn't set up for. We've had to adjust in order to be able to use the full functionality of the program and HCP support has helped us through this. I'm sure we will run into other roadblocks, but also confident we will be able to work around them.

Reason for choosing Housecall Pro

We chose HCP for their excellent communication and support, and also for the look of the program and how it's integration with Google makes it somewhat familiar to us right on start.

### "THE BEST EVER"

We are a small hvac company that is 16 years old and have spent literally over 10k on big clunky software programs to keep a database with previous service records of our customers. One day my carpet cleaner was coming and I got a text message confirming the appointment and another one when he was on his way. I WAS FLOORED. This is a HUGE issue in our business. Having to often to make 2 hour windows for arrival times with our customers. Times are changing, they are NOT receptive to this anymore. Housecall is amazing, honestly. There hasn't been a single thing that has helped our business more than Housecall. It's easy to set up, it's easy for the techs, NOT MORE WRITING DOWN EQUIPMENT SERIAL/MODEL #'s, they just take a picture. I could go on and on but it really has made a huge difference for me. Even the older guys that aren't literate on computers can use this program. I never thought I would see the day when I ran a paperless scheduling system, it was my goal but never a reality. I almost don't want to write reviews because I don't want my competitors to know, seriously!!!! AND IT'S AFFORDABLE. I use to spend my day writing tags, writing appointments manually in a book, sending out invoices and receipts, mailing or delivering estimates and writing thank you notes. No one ever asks me whats on the books this week, I ALWAYS have equipment info to order parts. I was on the verge of hiring a second person now I'm actually free to spend more time marketing and if you are a small business like us, you will know exactly what I am talking about. And the BEST thing is you can ease into it. Not everyone in the trades is computer literate but you can ease everyone in at their speed and make it work. Truly, this is where I appreciate technology the most.

Scheduling was made easy.

Pros

The recurring job feature and the ability to sync with QB. If you have recurring clients such as we do in lawn care, then you can set you weekly or Bi-Weekly services up for the entire year and adjust them as needed based on grass growth. Still working on snow removal part of it.

Cons

Doesn't sync with QB Desktop(much cheaper than online) and still can't figure out how to schedule bulk jobs all at once...such as when a snow storm hits and we have to quickly start sending people out to clear 100 different locations within hours. This is a challenge so I still have to use Excel Spreadsheet to get it done. Could just be I haven't been able to figure out how to easily do it within the system.
