It helps organize our business and makes busy days manageable.

Pros

It is extremely user friendly. If you can not figure something out on your own, on the desktop version there is always a chat option available where you can send a real life person a question. And they will get back to you with in minutes, usually under 5. I also love that you can easily see calls that have been completed and calls that are still open. That is a huge help to remind us to get back to open calls.

Cons

I wish that the mobile app had the chat function that the desktop version did. Sometimes techs need help in the field when they do not have access to a desktop.

### "Technology makeover "

I have been making home service calls for 35 years. I started scheduling with a land phone line and blue 3x5 cards. I have adopted new technology along the way. ( computers, cell phones, texting, email and database software.) This upgrade is bringing modern tools into my business. It is a technology makeover. It is taking an effort for and old guy like me but I am feeling so much better about how I go about getting me in front of a project in a customers home. There are a ton of benefits. So many benefits in fact that the low monthly cost is truly inconsequential.

Pros

Customer notification when I’m on my way. Invoice and sending receipts by email or text. Sending quotes by email and linked to customer.

Cons

The app only works in portrait mode when on the iPad. If integrated with Quickbooks online I have to mark invoices paid on both apps when payment is not COD.

We are able to keep good track of where our trucks are at all times, invoicing is easy, payments are easy to accept, records are kept of customers' history.

Pros

Our technicians don't have to be skilled in computers to use the features of Housecall Pro. All information is seamlessly integrated with Quickbooks Online to reduce paper invoicing and double entry of information. Their report function is excellent. Their support is also excellent and prompt.

Cons

The only weaknesses we have experienced is that they don't have a method of managing our service agreements and any photos we take of a customer's equipment stores with the invoice and not the customer.

Pros

The software is simple to use. Commonly used functions at the top of the layout. Features any service business would need (CRM, Invoicing, Inventory control, Scheduling). Payouts on electronic payments are extremely quick.

Cons

My only issue is that when using the software, sometimes the scripts are excessively large and takes excessive time to move between screens. System moves slowly between screens which becomes irritating especially when you have a time crunch.

I like the software, it's easy to navigate through

Cons

I don't like the cell phone software, only because when i assign a technician a call, i don't seethe call on the schedule unless i am also assigned the same call. The software isn't the same as it is on a desk top. Also don't inform you on the program itself that a payment has been made, only through email. And you can't add more then one person to receive the email that a payment has been made on a customers account.

Reason for choosing Housecall Pro

It seems to work best for our small company and keeps improving.

Love that HCP talks to QuickBooks. Love that my crews in the field can leave notes and upload photos.

Pros

Ease of use. It is easy to train the team on this software and the app is easy.

Cons

I have to upload and download photos one at a time and it is very slow. The only way we get paid with our clients is through photos and invoices, so being able to manage photos better and faster is an absolute necessity. When I go to pay invoices, I have clients with over 250 properties, so I have to scroll through the properties to pay multiple invoices and it takes forever. Having the properties in numerical or alphabetical order would be amazing!

Pros

CSR was unbelievable during our implementation; not only providing answers to questions, but making suggestions for best practices and organization of data before I even performed some of the sections/steps. Their library of help articles and recorded or live webinars is already amazing, but their chat support is incredible if that is a more practical learning/Q&A resource for you. HouseCall Pro's level of personalized service and commitment to reliable, timely, competent support is absolutely unparalleled. This is one of the main reasons we chose them, and we could not be more pleased with our decision. Quickbooks integration was seamless and even though our data needs a lot of cleanup, the HCP team has been quick to suggest easily understandable and helpful solutions to make that job as efficient as possible for us. Do not hesitate to work with the HCP team; you won’t be disappointed!

Cons

A few things we wish the system had (reminders/alerts for employees on calendar, ability to create/dispatch/schedule from one screen, etc.) all seem to be in queue for eventual development, so it feels less frustrating than an answer of something like "sorry, we don't support/have that." We love HCP's communication and welcoming of feedback on things us as customers would like to see modified or developed.

### "You can't get better than this! "

Pros

We use this in an everyday basis. We have 4-5 techs and this is great. Before this I was writing on note pads and keeping it on google. We always missed customers and double booked. With this we never have had those issues. So easy and convenient, my techs even love it. I would recommend it to any contractor who needs it. What a great company. Great to be teamed up with the best.

Cons

Poor tech tracking for gps. The most important thing they are missing is for repeat customers or dates. We do a lot of maintenances and need to do them 3-4 times a year. You don't have a way to do recurring visits or a master list of maintenance customers. It only lets us tag customers. Horrible we miss a lot of customers that way. We have to do or own tracking and keep up with or own list. Need a way to make it easier

Well i was leaning towards Thryv it seemed to have all I needed even more way to boost your business but it was way more expensive. I settle with you guys because it had mostly all of it except the more options of campaign.

Pros

We love that we were able to to use it right away. The team was able to take my spreadsheet of information and input into the system right away. The best part is my customers absolutely enjoy the "on our way" text which included information to them to make their experience pleasant and safe as it also gives them a picture of who will be showing up.

Cons

The only part I believe is missing the text blast. Once that is in place in my opinion would be game over.

With HCP you get to know a lot more about your company, variety of stats and reports, the system will discipline your workers because everything is being recorded and tracked, you will not loose stuff, and the most important, your company will look 200% more profesionall in this new technology world we're living in, one suggestion, faster implementation of features that pros suggest and that are really common sense to be on there, rather then putting it on board for voting which can take months or a year. keep it up guys, so far so good

Everything is being recorded somewhere, so any kind of info you need, you can go back and see when was it clicked, location, etc, overall it's preventing things from getting lost and forgoten like pen and papers do

Cons

Android implementation and updates should be just as important as IOS, and not be late by couple weeks, more people use android overall

The truth is that any tradesman not using this app will pay dearly for it down the line. I've quadrupled my output and am at 6X revenue since beginning with the App. Don't be an idiot sign up before your competitors crush you with efficiency. HCP isn't perfect, however, they are working hard at making it perfect. I used to use Invoice2Go and made recommendations to them on improving their interface and product, I never heard anything back from them.

Pros

It keeps me organized and handles a lot of my back-end work for me.

Cons

The only drawback I've experienced and this could be because of me not using the software correctly, it that when I open the app I want to see a clearer schedule of the days work. The opening page on my phone should be restricted to what is scheduled for the entire day. E.g. time of service, customer info, and a touch to pull the customer up. Other than that? I have no complaints.

We started doing business with house call pro in July and the services that they offer sounded excellent and met the needs of our business. However there were various glitches every now and then where we were not able to see the jobs that we had that day or in the days surrounding. Also we had a few complaints from our customers where we would send the on my way notification text and the client never received it and there was no record on the app that noted when the driver press that button even though it appeared on his phone. We had to accommodate the clients afterwords and ended up losing money in completing these services free of charge. Save your company some money and don’t go with HCP, it seriously seems as if their app system is not the best it could be at the moment. They are also no contract however they charge us in the beginning of the month and only a few days after we canceled and they did not give us the rest of the money back. We paid $150 for an entire month and only received a few days.

Nothing too slow and may issued whille using

The issue incoming the client that you was on the wav also they txt from random numbers so people think that is the same company

It’s been a very smooth and easy transition. Customer Service is outstanding and tech support is the best. This is a very professional group of people that really care about their customers.

Pros

We went several nightmares with some other HVAC dispatching services. We finally found the best. Housecallpro has surely solved all our needs. It syncs well with Quickbooks and is very easy to use. Our techs love it! I wished we would have found you sooner! Thanks for an outstanding product!

Cons

I wish that you could copy and paste from the texting program. No other negative issues here!

this software has helped my company standout from the competition. I love the integrations and online bookings. The pricing is amazing for all the features you get.

Cons

I know there constantly updating and look for more integrations. At first I almost didn't go with them due to it seeming to be pushed towards HVAC companies.

Overall I love this program and would recommend it to anyone who works in other people's homes or businesses. HCP helps keep me organized and on-track every day to dispatch our technicians and keep our customer's appliances running smoothly.

Pros

We are a locally owned appliance repair company in RI and Housecall Pro has completely changed the way we are able to do business. Enough things are automated that as the person who books all of the appointments I get to make way fewer phone calls in a typical workday and I can keep track of where my technicians are in their day. I love how everything is integrated; we use HCP for scheduling, creating invoices, billing, and keeping track of a ton of extremely important data.

Cons

My complaints about HCP are few and mostly regarding minor things. I wish there were more customizable choices in the settings for things like default appointment length, being able to create an appointment window that shows the technician could possibly arrive earlier than the scheduled appointment (right now you can create an appointment window with only a positive value from the scheduled appointment start time), little things like that.

I have like it since i started using this system about four years ago. I used it in the other company that i work for. Now that I started my own business it was one of the first things I invested in.

Pros

I like that it integrates to quick books. I like that it is easy to schedule. I Like that it is always evolving.

Cons

The updates that are in the way after one has selected to use them. The options to keep unig them keeps popping up. Not a deal breaker just annoying.

We are very happy with the app and will continue to use it .

Pros

It allows us to submit estimates, invoices, attach pics, edit bids, interface with clients to let them know when we are on the way and finished even when they are not present. It makes it easy to ask for email addresses when people are hesitant to gfive it. It allows us to set up auto postcards on a schedule as thank you's or reminders.

Cons

There have been some minor gliches but cant remember them right now.

Pros

This software is solely responsible for my ability to be anywhere my kids need me, to travel with family and to be on top of everything my customers and business requires. All the information is at my fingertips: from scheduling, invoicing, payments, to client history and reports. The HCP crew is responsive and professional! Glad to have them on my team!

Cons

No auto notifications if email sent through the software fails due to incorrect email address.
