Pros

This has everything you need packed into one software to organize your company. Distributing appointments to multiple people is a breeze. All of my customers are so impressed with the text and email confirmations they receive after scheduling and finishing their job. EVERYTHING IS NOW ELECTRONIC :) So organized and I would never operate with out it. Thank you Housecall Pro.

Cons

Hard to say. Everything is really great with this software.

Pros

Housecall Pro has helped us streamline our business and transition from paper to paperless. My Technicians love using the program. Housecall is always taking the contractors opinions and tries to improve the program all the time to meet our needs.

Cons

It would be nice to have a phone number for customer support. Even though anytime I have needed help the blue chat button has always helped with little wait time.

Things are getting better every month. Only issue is I’ve been with them for 2+ Yrs and I have 6 employees when I have to add another my price is going to almost double because they don’t offer my plan anymore

Pros

I have hcp for my hvac and cleaning company and love the app and how they listen to customer and do updates to become better.

Cons

We upload a lot of photos using apple products and it’s always slow and have to reduce size a lot of times for it to upload

Changing over from QuickBooks is still a process and trying to figure out the ins and out on the accounting part.

Pros

I love how easy it was to set up and start using immediately because it is so user friendly and if there are any issues, the community is fantastic in helping you solve them promptly.

Cons

No universal search on calendar page. Would like to see our A/R outstanding on a regular report of currrent, 30-60, 60-90 etc. Really would love if it integrated with QuickBooks Desktop, that would solve most of my issues.

Pros

Easy to enter a new customer and put them on the schedule. Helpful that employees are color coded and can put more than 1 on each job. Really like the technology to email and text customers and provide them with receipts, updates, etc. Like that you can take payments and link CC payments to bank.

Cons

It does not flow the way it should. Notes should have auto date & time and a way to view them better. When you copy estimate to a job, the estimate should be archived. Very confusing when you have several estimates that are still showing. Also should be able to archive customers. Huge problems trying to coordinate with QB Pro due to the numerous jobs that are created and do not get auto deleted once you copy to a job. Very, very confusing.

### "Garage Door Services and Installations Using HCP"

We are new to HCP, but so far so good. Most of the problems we are having is initial setup and implementing these changes with our technicians. The office employees are loving it, and I think once we get used to the switch, the guys will see how much easier everything could be.

Pros

The product is easy to use and very convenient. It has a lot of features that we don't normally have access to, so we will be taking advantage of that for sure. It has been great so far.

Cons

Integration has been slow on our end. We use a lot of PO/WO numbers and there's really not anywhere to put that information other than in the notes. Some of our technicians are technologically challenged, so it's imperative that everything can be found in one spot.

Reason for choosing Housecall Pro

We did not really look into too many other programs just mainly an idea at the time. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] called our office, and I decided to hear his pitch since I knew we would be looking for this soon.

Basically it is a great experience and a great idea for helping our techs in the field. All the customer information that they need is right there for them to access. I would recommend it to others.

Pros

Easy scheduling customer listing very accurate Quick Quick Book entry Good customer service

Cons

Need to be able to mark a check paid for the date it is paid on, not the date that you accept it. Need to have a balance that can be used for next visit if they over pay. Sometimes you need to speak with a live person You did not list Air Conditioning on "Industry" selection I had to choose Environmental Services

Just about everything. This isn't hate mail either. It truly is horrendous. Made my life tougher and pissed off plenty of customers.

Pros

The ease of use for new employees. The price is great. It saves me time and money. Having my entire database at my fingertips whenever and wherever I am is incredible. Taking cards, booking jobs,making bids anytime anywhere is awesome. It makes my business look and work more professional.

Cons

There is a few broken features that are taking a long time to fix. With no definitive time frame for completion.

They have the wrong kind of people handling the phones. The first guy was not sure how to answer some of my questions and dismissed them like they were no big deal. His the one that laughed at me. He later apologized to me before hanging up. Buyer beware.

Pros

Seemed like a good program until I started talking with the support staff.

Cons

Housecall Pro never called me for my appointment to set up my account. I called 30 mins later to see what's going on and they hung up on me. I'm assuming this was just an accident. I called back and talked with a guy that laughed at me regarding my setup, and then actually hung up on me. I called back a third time, the lady said it could take up to 24 hours for someone to get back in touch with me. At this point, I asked her to cancel my membership.

Experience has been great! Customer service is terrific!

Pros

Scheduling, mobile app, email and text alerts are fantastic! It wasn't until our alerts went down on a competitors system that we realized how valuable this feature is. In addition, the mobile app is fantastic! Google Street view is great! the app is easy to use, get directions, check-in, etc. Housecall Pro delivered the stability we needed with a rock solid product!

Cons

The online booking form could use an upgrade with more options.

Overall Housecall Pro helps me a lot , I can keep all my clients in this software , track them , keep their information , and the most important grow in my business .

Easy to book our services, send invoices , get payments done online , this is FANTANSTIC!!!

Cons

I have different workers , so the Text Reminders , when am making the schedules , I always have to change the reminders of names of our workers each time , I really hate that !! If the system could do it automatically when you choose your people names in each work , and send the reminders with their names , not changing each time ....

Love the customer Services. They are always quick and nice. However, too many times their answers are “that can’t be done but we can put a suggestion in for the programmers”. That’s the answer 80% of the time. The software has awesome scheduling and communication features which keeps me using it.

Pros

Scheduling system is great. Easy for field techs to see what the have and when. Easy for them to send an invoice.

Cons

Backoffice. If someone calls and only has a quote or invoice number, you can never find it. There should be a “search for anything” field on all screens. Not just the invoice report screen. Also no one there knows the difference between an invoice and receipt. They should dump their invoice process and focus on better quality interface with quickbooks online.

This is a one stop shop for my customer base, dispatching, estimates, and invoicing. Awesome. Customer service is always just an online message away. I can't imagine running my business without it.

Cons

Like any other software it has a few quirks that I would love to change, but understand that they can't tailor this program for everyone. I have learned to work around the very few things I don't like.

I was old school! Paper contracts all over the house, in my dresser drawers, file cabinets, in my van, etc. I didn't think I needed to change, "If it isn't broke, don't fix it", right??? WRONG!!!! The best thing I did was listen to my wife!!! Housecall Pro has changed my business and my process!!! They are more then a software, we are a community!

Pros

Everything I need and paperless! I was able to learn and implement it in my daily use.

Cons

There was nothing I didn't like about the software, except that I didn't sign up sooner!

Good timing.....I'm positioned to grow. HCP is a good tool. Makes life easier. I can do, on the fly!

Pros

"If you have a mom & pop shop, you immediately look like the Jetsons" Right now I'm a one man shop, so I use HCP to manage my home repair business. It's funny how I can see the relief in the client face during the whole interaction as it related to the business side of business. It definitely gives you a professional edge. HCP fits with the time, most clients get it! Getting a home repair done as easy as ordering a pizza, taxi or maid service. I was recently asked, if I had a young Techie working for me back at the office?........My response was "No, that's just my software"........She asked "The notifications and everything?"

Cons

Housecall Pro appears to have more physical visibility on everything that goes out electronically. For Example: HCP name and or logo is visible 6 times vs. my companies name which can be found 4 times throughout the standard receipt notification. Visible in form of email, logo, header, website. Wish you can scale it back some?
