Pretty good.. some glitches I'd like to see fixed, like the lag time, job tracking, financing options. It would be nice to if say I needed an electrician to give me a price for adding a circuit for putting in a new airconditioning unit, if i could forward them a link to fill out to add to my estimate or bill with the option to mark up or not... so it doesn't make it look like I did the electrical... could be a good marketing strategy for you guys as well... say i work with contractors that dont utilize housecall pro, but i have them working off of my software and they like it... boom you have a new customer too..

Pros

Pretty simple to use, I like how it links to other software and apps and makes information sharing fairly seamless.

Cons

I'd like to see a better lay out for scheduling. Like jobs you have to go back to... I spend alot of time searching for customers who I know I need to return to finish a job after waiting on parts but I cant remember who they are... maybe a project tracking screen on the dash board, also Im utilizing the in house financing through hp, but the amount on some of the tickets is fairly large, I'd like to see a way to give more or other options and give the customer more options instead like ... holy crap only $500 dollars a month... at least list the length of terms out and apr... the more info the customers have the better they feel about you.

We have done 1 year so far with housecall pro, and will renew for another year.

Pros

There is no doubt that this software has saved me a large amount of time that I can now use to do other things like growing the business, or spend time with my family. Who likes to stay up until 11pm at night working on invoices, quotes or transfering documents between different software? housecall pro has made a positive change in my life.

Cons

There are some very small changes that would make a huge difference, but yet have been ignored by their developers. -Being able to save and edit the pre-written messages when you send emails (quotes, invoices etc) would save me even more time, since I don't like the ones they use, how hard can that be to implement? -Recording incoming calls, that way you don't have to make your customer repeat everything 3 times. Their competitors do it. -have an option to use the software when there is no internet connection would be appreciated. -the phone app doesnt seem to match the same data as the desktop version, fix that app!

### "Great Platform for growing a company"

Pros

So many features have helped us grow our business. We love the red lines to show clients who have not paid. The dashboard is awesome! We can track and see and compare revenue for each year/month. Scheduling and automation is great. If you are looking to grow your company this is a great tool to help you look and BE more organized!!

Cons

It is lacking a true history log. Meaning if a client emails/calls in there is no record. We have worked around this by adding notes to the private note section. Because we have so much repeat business it is important that everyone in the office have the most up to date info on a client. The invoices and receipts are identical, this causes confusion for our customers when they get a receipt and think it's an invoice. It does not have inventory or drive time optimization.

Pros

It is easy to use and they have nice features just like other good dispatching softwares.

Cons

If you have any problem... and believe me you will! It like pulling teeth to get someone from customer service to help you out. They don't talk on the phone. They want you to type in the Blue Bubble on your interface... Ok, you may say. Well, they take forever to respond to you and they never know what the problem is, so they give you the run around telling you its your Quickbooks or its your Bank Account that's the problem go check with them. You have to end up dealing with a stupid resetting of your account after it's taken a whole day of running around and checking and holding and checking and holding. It's sooooo Horrible. Has to be close to the worst interfaces for a company just because of the lack of customer support. what I really believe is that they don't have many people working for them and only a few of those people actually know what they are doing and they give you the run around to give the few people time to fix other's problems before they can get to yours which in one of my instances took 2 days.

They were cheaper, and that was my biggest fault. I will be switching to Service Titan in the near future.

Pros

The user friendly interface, when it comes to using an all in one program for running a business, this is one of the best, it’s easy to use, very tech friendly for the guys in the field and customer service is great anytime I have any questions, I just send an email and get a response back very quickly. Would highly recommend to other companies.

Cons

Our company uses it on IPads in the field and also on computers at the office, and what I felt could be improved upon is allowing certain features to be used on the app as well as the site version on desktop. Certain features and functions you can only do from the desktop.

House call pro has helped us become paperless which has been especially helpful during Covid-19.

Pros

Sharing, scheduling and dispatching all happen seamlessly through House Call Pro. Payments are also easily processed and interfacing with QuickBooks is a breeze. Customer service reps are always available and helpful.

Cons

I’d like to be able to search for customers by address or phone number and not just by name. A search database option would be helpful. Also, some of the features such as selecting the scheduled time or updating a profile take more steps than they need to and. Could be more stream lined in the future. Also, the ability to schedule tentative jobs with temporary invoices with an option where a customer could click to confirm would be helpful. Additionally company notes to techs is at the bottom and not easily seen. It would be nice if it was moved up or there was an alert at the top of the page. Also, last two invoices detailed and listed below Job or an option to hover over customer history and quick view option would be a faster option in checking past prices. My customer has to wait for me to toggle back and forth when researching what we did before and previous pricing. Tooo slow.

Pros

Price, ease of use, ease of switching to a new program, ability to automatically request customer online reviews.

Cons

Customer search by address or phone number instead of just name. Private notes from a previous job do not automatically move to the next job.

They are constantly upgrading. Seams like they listen to customer feedback. Good product for the cost.

Cons

Server can be slow at times. Some of the app do not work well. Postcard marketing for example.

### "The best team and software out there!"

Our team loves the schedule, we love how we are able to stay organized, we love everything about HCP.

Pros

Their customer support is the better than any I have ever experienced. You are never dropped throughout the process and you have a dedicated account manager that helps you whenever you need it. Plus they have provided a Facebook page for all of their pros to talk and collaborate. There are members of HCP who also jump on and help troubleshoot. Never seen something like this before. I'll be here for a long time just because of those two things. And then, take into consideration how they responded to Covid-19. No other company I know of has done this. They have had daily zoom meetings with their pros and quite a few guest speakers since Covid-19 shut things down in the middle of March. Those meeting REALLY helped my team and I get through some tough and scary times. They helped me navigate the PPP Loan, Unemployment, and many other things.

Cons

There are quite a few things being worked on so there is a lot in "beta", etc. I look forward to utilizing those features in the near future!

We loved the demo. Just from that short presentation we could see how simple and user friendly it was. We liked the software demo. Little did we know we would get the best customer service as well!

ServiceTitan was very expensive. Also, when we signed up we had very little to no onboarding/training and were lost and confused basically the whole time we used ST. It was tough. ST is a nice software, they are just expensive and there was very little customer support.

### "It Does All That? Yep!"

Scheduling jobs, seeing multiple technicians, and the jobs they have completed, are on, and still have open for the day, all in one spot is incredibly helpful. Being able to inform a customer, in real time, when we're on our way, when we started the job, and when the job was finished. All of those tasks are efficiently processed in a streamlined dashboard. And when we have a question about how to do something with the software, a convenient "chat" is always available, with friendly, knowledgeable experts on the other side, offering solutions with a minute or two, not next business day. Great, great company!

Pros

The flow of information is smooth and without hiccups. From scheduling a technician for a job, knowing their on their way, to arrival, job completion, customer signature, before and after photos, and an invoice electronically generated and sent to the customer before the technician drives off to the next on. Being able to check and see if the invoice was delivered and the email opened is a plus. Online payments is just a bonus.

Cons

Needing to remember this is not an accounting system. It handles so much data, I sometimes wonder why it can't keep track of how much money I posted in clearing invoices.

### "Wow Your Customers!"

It gives my customers a great service experience to help separate me from the heard. They love the constant communications and updates instead left wondering if someone is actually coming or not. The find comfort in seeing a photo of the service tech who is arriving and when, the full invoice, attached photos, payment and notes of the service all sent to their email saving paper. It allows any of us to look up customer service records after hours instead of making them wait until normal business hours for answers.

Pros

Cons

Most of what I didn't like has been addressed and added like segments on jobs from the app. There still are a few small things I would like to see improved. When I notify customer support the ideas are welcomed and most of the time I am informed that it is being worked on and eventually see it as an update. As long as Housecall Pro keeps listening to their customers and continue to make improvements they will remain the best customer service app on the market.

### "HouseCall Pro is the best entry level field service management tool out there"

It has organized my business tremendously in the past year. We went from a company of posting the printed out jobs on a board every day and mailing 100% of the invoices to one that is scheduled remotely, invoiced and paid all online. It makes the backend office work 1 million times more efficient and keeps the whole business much healthier.

Pros

The ease of use of the software makes it great. If you have clean data coming into the system, then it would work tremendously from the beginning. Even people who are not tech savy have been able to use the software without any glitch.

Cons

Clearly, the system is growing along side with us. There are features that are released that are not 100% completed. It seems that some parts of the software are a work in progress.

Pros

It’s basically a cloud-based field service management system that assists managers to schedule their tasks, send auto-reminders to their staffs regarding the pending and upcoming work with the task checklists. It also provides you real-time updates about their location. You can control all your employees from your mobile or from a remote location. The application has a Customer database, and you can confirm if a delivery is successfully done, or if transactions are done by field staffs by enabling response from respective clients. It has even helped us with the process of technician dispatch and online payment processing.

Cons

Provides only limited customization. You can only check out the completed tasks, it is difficult to track the progress of tasks. During the time of invoicing, the credit card option could only be turned off by using desktop version and not by the mobile version, and this mobile application lacks in functionalities when being compared to the desktop version. The reporting features aren't up to the mark. In the case of single estimates, we have experienced a few glitches that have created duplication of invoices.

### "Worth The Money"

With Housecall Pro I like the fact that I don;t have to come to my office at the end of the day and do entries into Quick Books. The software does this in the field when you click the finish button. Furthermore, I like the fact that customers know when i'm on the way after I click the on my way button.

Pros

Housecall Pro is definitely worth the money we spend for this software. The software is constantly being improved with new features. If you are looking for a CRM that integrates with Quick Books look no further. This software has saved me time which is very important to me.

Cons

Although the software is amazing to use I must say the only thing I dislike is chatting into a Blue Chat Bubble for assistance versus getting someone on the phone and doing a screen share or just being able to hear a voice

This program has made a huge difference in following our collections and keeping up with billing. We are able to create reports that we use daily from the dashboard. This has also been a fantastic app at keeping track of the scheduling at a much more efficient level. We are able to keep our different divisions separate by changing the color assigned to the techs.

Pros

I like that the software is easy to use for my techs in the field. They can use the app and do their jobs fully, get authorizations, see their scope of work, collect and make notes and attach pictures all in one easy touch on the screen of their phones, or Ipads.

Cons

I think my only con on this program is I can not build jobs. I have to create segments for each step of the job and think it would be much easier if I could just create a job and build it from there and be able to complete each step and then invoice once the full scope of work is done.

Reason for choosing Housecall Pro

We chose to go with Housecall Pro as it had all of the things for scheduling and book keeping that we were needing. We are growing at a fast rate and needed something that could keep up with that growth. We originally started out with 10 techs and have now grown to a small company of 25 employees, and still growing. We have definitely grown to love the system.

More than positive! It has streamlined our business and provided a better experience for our customers.

Pros

The ease of use of this software is by far some of the best and I demoed several before deciding on Housecall Pro. This is our first go at a digital software and they have been excellent to work with in getting us a set up specific to our needs as a company. We like that it encompasses a review component as well as real time data for our office staff to see where our technicians are at on their schedule. The online community Facebook page has been a tremendous help in hearing how other companies are working through issues as business information in general.

Cons

There have been times where chatting into the blue bubble yields less than timely feedback for important things we need to get sorted out in the office. The Facebook group is helpful in me searching to find a work around or solution while I wait to hear back from the blue bubble. I understand why there is no direct phone contact for immediate issues, but it would be nice in dire times to be able to immediately get a person on the phone.

Great CRM for business starting out. Has really helped us become efficient and love the integration options.

Pros

Scheduling, reminder, customer profile. Zillow and google integration.

Cons

Needs more security function. Security needs to be more elective as individual components than bundled. Ability to create roles and assign security functions. would be nice if pricing could be associated with time allotments in order to make online booking easier. Ability to create dynamic fonts in the description for online booking. Change custom request to come over as a non editable customer note instead of a line item that is on the invoice. Allow for customer to sign off job again if new services are added. Separate credit percentage an money amount to individual boxes. We have a credit program which doesn't work when we apply a discount. Allow dispatcher to add credit card on file. Accept Venmo, paypal and cash app.
