Been using Deltek for over 15 years and it's the best product for any company that is project based.

Pros

Timesheets / Expense reports. Info Center Designer - you are able to add and personalized. Downloading majority of items into any version...like Excel. iAccess

Cons

Reporting - needs more flexibility to combine fields to get customized reporting. More financial functions needed.

Our company uses this software for many purposes and if you get adequate training it can be a great tool that makes working on projects and finding information easy and accessible in one location.

Pros

Deltek Vision software is a good resource for keeping track of a lot of information in one place and collaborating on projects.

Cons

It is not as user friendly as I would like. I have found it very challenging to work through self teaching tools. Unless someone has the time to teach you how to use the features it is time consuming and somewhat frustrating.

After using another CRM system for several years; our company decided to add the CRM tool to our already utilized Deltek package. I really do like the connectivity of the information from our first customer visit to project completion. I also like the mobile feature. I often as a Marketing Executive find myself on the road. With the ease of the mobile app; I can input contact/client data on the go.

Pros

Ease of use Mobile platform cradle to grave client accessibility

Cons

Not enough tutorials online for features Would prefer a help desk chat/or call in feature instead of an email tech system.

Having worked with several PM and Accounting software's, I can say that Deltek is a superior tool. Their ability to customize settings per company and the multiple uses of their different function make it easy to use. I truly enjoy working with Deltek.

Pros

Customization features, ease of use.

Cons

The expense report feature seems like an after thought and is not as user friendly as other features in Deltek.

Pros

Once you learn how the applications work, it becomes very intuitive. The next hurdle to cross is understanding the Reporting process - Deltek has made this function very easy in Vision once you've undergone a little bit of training. It's so much easier that having to write SQL reports. Project information is extremely easy to obtain from the Project Info tab. Payroll is a piece of cake too.

Cons

I only use the Core, Payroll and Billing modules so I can't comment on CRM. It's very pricey not only to purchase but also has pricey maintenance fees for a small firm to pay.

I work for a small company that was using Sema4, it was actually scary. No internal controls, I couldn't believe how it would allow you to delete important info and it disappeared for good. Argh :(

Pros

It has the ability to do almost anything you need

Cons

Sometimes it is difficult to figure out how to do something you know the system can do but you just don't know how to get the info.

Overall, I've been using Vision ever since I started with this company. It's way easier than the other work time tracking software. I like that you can go back to older time sheets as well as see the approval progress of the submitted documents.

Pros

I love that it's so easy to track our tasks for monthly time sheet and expenses for projects. I also like that it has a holiday functions color to make sure that the employees can track their time correctly for holidays.

Cons

There is nothing that I dislike about vision. There was once a vision shutdown happen in our company but it was only for a couple hours and everything was up and running again. Not sure if it's the software itself or our server problem.

I have limited use of the software as I am the Executive Assistant & HR Rep. My CFO uses this a lot more thoroughly. What I have used, I have found to be very useful, functional and easy to print out specific reports as needed. I have called Customer Support a few times and they are very knowledgeable and walked me through step by step any issues I was having. That's a plus for me.

Pros

The various types of reports that we can print out.

Cons

The cost of the software program. Although it is a very good program, it may not be suitable for all companies if they cannot afford it.

\-Slow to load -Crashes easily -Web based software -Does not produce time reports i.e. a report of how many hours I have personally spent on a job to date

I find Deltek Vision to be incredible un-intuitive and clunky to use. It has taken me 8 months with the help of in-office hired training for our team to comprehend the basics of how to use Deltek Vision for marketing and business development purposes. I used to use Cosential which was very easy to pick up and design and manage. The reporting feature is the worst I have ever used. Even th databases I designed with File Maker Pro in 2001 were easier to use.

Almost nothing.

Cons

Without extensive training, I have no idea what I am doing and how it's affecting the information that spits out. It seems the information should be easier to export in multiple ways.
