The system allows you to create detailed reports on completed projects. Using the scheduling function, the service will generate reports automatically. Cons The first thing that is a little disappointing is that the Deltek Vision service does not have integration with popular marketing tools. And beyond that limiting functions within functions. Great to keep information confidential. Cons All the custom settings need set up that way. The interface is outdated, but offers a wealth of options and customizations. Support is available, but at a cost. Overall a very complete ERP: encompasses CRM, proposals, resource management, project management, time and expenses, billing, project accounting and reporting and dashboards. Pros Customizable; lots of options; almost every possibility can be programmed/customized; basics easy to learn; basic tools easy to use; basic training available and easy to understand Cons Steep learning curve; training is expensive; not everyone will be comfortable from start; customization is not easily achieved; training on detailed use of the system not available free. Effective and fast! What we liked. Cons there was not a lot of easily accessable help information available on their website. June 29, 2017 4.0 Pros Project Reporting - Project review feature allows PM view their project financial information easily Time and Expense - Easy for end users Reporting - Robust reporting module Easily customizable - Can easily add additional fields, custom grid, and other information that is needed Cons Mobile apps - The mobile apps are not user friends. I hadn't used it before. I sat with my supervisor and she trained me on it. Naturally I was lost at first, but left alone with Vision I explored and so many things it was capable of. And new it would take a long long time to actually understand all that it offered. I do enjoy working on it. The Planning module is difficult, nut you only understand it you use it regularly and pay attention. It requires lots of focus! We have had problems or questions and have had to contact customer service, which has not helped us. We've used our own IT department to resolve problems or just find work a rounds. The software is robust and has tremendous functionality, however, it is tough and time consuming to learn how to use. Once the iAccess platform is up and running for all functions, I have a feeling that will improve drastically. Customizing invoices to make them replicate Wind / FMS is next to impossible which is frustrating. Overall, we are happy to be on a new web-based system and have our business run on one software platform. Pros Functionality, able to manage full business in one software program. Used the software for: ### "Four years of Deltek Vision" March 31, 2017 4.0 Our firm has been using Deltek Vision for a number of years, and I have personally had 4 years working with the software. As an architect, it is a little out of my area of expertise, but it has gone a long way toward integrating the information that drives our business. In that respect it is superb, and I am just learning how it can be used for many other things. Their customer support is very good, and I have enjoyed working with Deltek. The only negative that I see is that, in my opinion, the user interface for the software could use some work to become more intuitive - especially as I am not an accountant or finance manager, and am used to using software that has such qualities. Perhaps my opinion stems from being thrown into the program with a minimum of training and experience, but I could make some suggestions as to how the program interface could be streamlined. However, the latest version does not work on iPhone according to our tech support folks so I have not been able to use it any more. I hope Deltek resolves this problem soon.
