Pros The software creates links between different jobs, clients and employees. It also provides a place to leave client notes. This helps get the information out of our heads and into a communal space. February 28, 2017 4.0 We are on Vision on the Cloud and it has been a great experience. The customer service has been great when we have had issues. The one complaint I would have is there doesn't seem to be enough talking better the departments and modules and how they interact. Example, we were looking at Performance Management and then went to the conference. Never in our conversations about the module was it brought up that part of that technology was being wrapped into core vision. That would have been nice to know. Review Source LL Linda L. We paid for training and they have good chat support. It is not very user friendly but it does the work for the firm. Takes some work to get the reports to work they way you want it. But since I was so used to QB and then had to lean this one I was able to work it and understand it . We have 500+ employees and our current software does not handle the volume well. Vision is considered the "Cadillac" product in our Industry and has been used by some of our upper management in prior roles. We are looking forward to the possibilities Pros So far what I like about viewing the product for the conversion is the capabilities to track multiple companies as well as using multi-currency. It looks like a good tool but a bit old fashion and needs a polish. It has been recently added a dashboard to see project progress and this is very good. Pros I have learnt recently how to use deltek. It is a software with everything on it to calculate fees and scheduling resources. Cons It needs a very good training to be able to use it. It has bugs and sometimes crashes. You need to insert all fields otherwise you do not get the wanted outcomes. It is not so intuitive. Review Source SR Susan R. February 9, 2015 3.5 Pros I like the time entry function. It is easy to use and easy to search for projects. I also enjoy how you really have everything you need for your company/business to be successful. We haven't used all what Deltek has to offer, but we are getting there. The learning curve can be a little slow to overcome but once you have mastered the nuances of the program it is quite easy to enter data and report on said data. The cost of leasing the software is fairly steep, even when compared to former purchases of the software and modules, which although costly was a one time expense, this just keeps on going, and for a small company aside from payroll and rent is one of our most costly monthly expenses. The only draw back of Vision that I can think of, is when I am running out my EOM reports, the items listed under the navigation pane always get very large, so large the whole name of the tab does not show, as well as the verbiage on the list of reports, causing me to have to close and re-open the program every time. Like anything of this magnitude, there are growing pains, but we are very happy with the product. Service has been excellent. I use the char feature al least once a month.
