It has always done a great job and the Vision software has made our accounting work so much easier. The timesheet program is a great interface and tracks all our projects status. Pros the ease of taking our labor tracking from timesheet to billings. Also like the easy to get reports. The features work as you expect them to consistently. In the event of a question I have utilized their customer resources, FAQ's as well as their helpdesk via chat, email and phone. Their customer support is quick and efficient following up until a solution is reached. Very Happy Customer. I know it's great in firms that need to allocate time for different projects when it comes to billing. Vision allows you to manage projects's budgets, set amount of hours for each person per project, organize a project's phases, and makes it streamlined when billing a client Cons The software is not exactly an intuitive program, it takes some training and getting used to. From handling all of our accounting functions to our staff resource planning to storing Human Resource data, Deltek is the perfect tool to have all of this in one, easy-to-use software! Pros I love the different functionalities of the software, it can be used for many purposes. Disappointed in the PO module - quirky - please bring up to par. Disappointed in some reporting limitations - fields not being available for filtering, and detail not being available always. Pros like that we can go as simple or as deep as we want with the use of items Cons documentation is too complex. you should have educators as your consultants and have them write your support/how to documentation. too complex right out of the gate. need overlays of difficulty/features so that knowledge is built up gradually. Have used Vision at different clients now for about 8 years and also used Axium Ajera a few years ago. I love some things about Ajera and some of Deltek. I think one of the biggest helps has been being able to close the Bank Reconcilation in Vision. Pros The familiarity of the program. I have been using it for years now. It's flexible, easy to use and completely customizable. Pros The flexibility. Ease of use. Cons The reporting feature. In my last job, where I also functioned database administrator, I used Crystal Reports (which I really liked) to create the reports I needed. There are many resources to keep up to date on changes to the software. Pros I like that it is easy to use, easy to teach to others and a great place to store all of the important information that we need for our day to day business. It's a relief to be able to go to one platform and review everyone's contributions to a project. I love it! Cons You can only track projects in 30-minute increments, which can be annoying. Pros Custom configuration capability is awesome. You don't have to be a programmer to learn how to set it up. Searching and reporting tools are second to none. There are no basic training courses in our area and I don't have time to read the entire help section. Deltek needs to offer more basic training courses, even if it is online courses. It would be nice to have some formal basic training or user groups in Nashville. Pros Deltek offers a lot of potential if you know how to use it. Cons Auto-titles for built-in reports are counterintuitive, and generally there seem to be bugs with the search function across several of the categories (accounting, projects, etc.). I gave the fewest amount of stars on the ease of use because I feel like you really have to experiment with the reporting features to see what works for you. Many of the standard reports don't work for our company, but I like that I can customize the reports for what we can use. Pros Customized reports, customer service is great.
