Pros this software is very comprehensive. It has everything you possibility would need to run an engineering firm. April 11, 2017 5.0 We are a Service Company and have been using Vision for a little over a year now. Out of the box you have a lot of options on how to setup the system to meet your firm's needs. If there is customization that isn't available out of the box the software is flexible enough so that it can be incorporated into your firm's setup. After working through the implantation issues we are beginning to see all the benefits the system is able to prove to management. Sadly I think quickbooks would have been a better value. Vision is not intuitive and the difficult to learn and use. For our company size the cost of the software is too expensive and again, difficult to use. A world of difference in the capabilities and ease of use. Pros The integration between modules and the way that Deltek listens and makes many of the enhancement requests. Plus customer support. Cons Sometimes bugs to work out. There are a few problems that I have came across. Recently the update removed permissions from some employee which made approving items difficult. Overall I love working in Vision. Pros Its easy to lear, tons of data files to export and use. there are some very useful features. A company could run all financial aspects and management tools of their firm with this one system but for a bit of money. There are options to use this in the cloud. Training is available although at a cost. Many advantages, many uses. Cons Would be great if there was a ease of use for non-financial personnel. Being able to schedule recurring reports - Vision works for me even when I'm not at work! Accounting and CRM link to each other seamlessly. We have always received quick responses from support. Pros I really like the ability to download an application that works from my desktop. Deltek Vision keeps my timesheet and allows me to add and edit comments for client billable work. Cons The framework is a little clunky.
