It was essentially a safe space to give feedback and the fact that leaders can respond right on the app is super cool. However, nothing beats face to face communication. Pros 15Five is an excellent way to get team members to take stock of how their work experience is going. What I liked the most about using 15Five was the opportunity it gave me to reflect on my week, take some accountability, and give some much needed Feedback to my leaders. The app itself was really easy to use. Straightforward and intuitive. Cons 15Five, like other activities of this type, is only as effective as the user makes it. Meaning, if a team member is continuously giving feedback on a subject, and not getting any sort of response, the software can become counterproductive and in fact have a negative impact on the user. Pros The product makes it really easy to house this information. As 1 on 1's become a more vital part of the corporate world, 15Five make it that much easier to facilitate them. It also auto-saves much of the information entered so that you don't have to worry about losing anything. Cons The user interface could continue to improve. While it isn't bad, there is room to grow. It's like having scrum meetings a few times a week and understanding what everyone is doing, what they are planning and if there are any impediments. The reporting is straightforward and helpful as well. Great visibility and a quick way of finding out if there are any obstacles within a large team (especially when working on a project). Cons From time to time OKRs are not entered into the system from the week before. This has only happened twice but it is a known issue. Pros 15Five makes you think about your work week more broadly and reflectively. I would not normally think about what my "blockers" or "successes" of my work without it! I enjoy thinking about who I can celebrate with a "high five" that week as well- it creates a really positive, communicative work experience. Cons Sometimes I find it can be a bit redundant on a week by week basis, at least with my weeks that tend to be more baseline and repetitive. Review Source Tabrez B. OKRs made sure everyone's goals are aligned, communication grew internally as everyone started using highfives a lot. Pros Facilitate conversations between employees, managers and their peers. Being able to track company wide OKRs. Cons Tool is missing analytics and lacks on reporting. IMO there should be more reports for manager andeven being able to customize them. I would recommend even others to implement this and explore new experience. Pros The best thing about this software is that we can share our work experience and also the challenges that we are facing at work or even personal life because sharing this we get some guidance from the people around us. It is also a tool to give appreciation to people for their hard work which is very much needed in the work place. Pros 15Five is a great platform for collecting feedback from coworkers and supervisors. I love the high-five feature for giving public shoutouts to coworkers that did something well. Cons Although I like the platform, I find it hard to prioritize. The feedback forms are repetitive every week and it makes them a bit forgetful. This solution has been a hit with our managers and staff alike. Pros This tool allows us to not only turn out managers into coaches and mentors, but it gives further voice to our employees so we know what they most care about. Pros It's totally accessible/easy to use, and it has options for public and private commenting. I love how the team leads can switch up the questions every week. Cons I wish the percentages up top based on my responsiveness would not ding me for missing a week when I'm out on vacation, but that might be a function of our administrators, not the software. I also appreciate the ability to celebrate victories, no matter how small, through high fives. Giving and getting recognition is awesome, but I've worked at several companies where doing so required "too much" effort. 15Five makes it simple so I find myself doing it every week. I love the back and forth between my manager and getting my feelings out on a weekly basis. I feel like each week we're moving to a better place because of 15Five Pros As an employee I now feel heard more than ever. I am more focused because of the goals and can look back to continue to better myself. Cons I can't really say what I don't like. Perhaps more visualization of data would be cool? Love being able to interact on both desktop and iPhone versions. Pros It has taken my 1/1 with my supervisor to the next level! 15Five has allowed me to be more consistent in my work and the results I achieve each day by using the "priorities" feature. It has not only helped me achieve more in my role but communicate common barriers to my supervisor that often hold up projects costing time and/or money. Cons The constant notifications. I have used other tools in the past that were never useful with being too long and were not effective. With 15Five, management can quickly see what you are working on and accomplishing on a weekly basis, along with knowing what your barriers are and how they can help. I had some pain points that I identified in 15Five, and they were worked on and resolved, which to me was outstanding and a very effective result with using the system (unlike other tools that I felt that I used in the past that brought nothing to the table). Cons I feel like you should be able to indicate when you are on vacation, and not filling it out, so as not to be dinged in your stats of completing a session or not completing a session. October 26, 2016 5.0 I am a remote employee, so 15Five helps me in a number of ways - first it helps me keep my manager abreast of what I have been doing all week; second, its sharing features helps me keep in touch with what my colleagues are doing; and finally, it serves as a written record of what I have accomplished that quarter or year. Status reporting sounds easy and almost trivial, but having jerry-built a system using Google forms in a previous job, I know there are quite a few challenges. 15Five provides a comprehensive system and manages to make status reporting fun. Also they are quite responsive and are always on the lookout for new feature suggestions so they can improve their system. Pros Easy to use, no need to maintain software or data. Cons Nothing at the moment.
