Pros

Ease of use. It's not too complicated. We use both the weekly feedback feature and the 1:1 features. Both of the products are simple enough to use.

Cons

The 1:1 feature is built to be controlled by the manager. However, we work in a company that values manager:employee relationships being very open and transparent. Therefore, it'd be great if both the manager and employee had the same level of access to add/edit the 1:1 feature (for instance, only Manager's can add Action Items).

### "Keeps everyone in the know"

I like 15Five overall. It's easy to manage weekly, keeps me thinking about what I'm working on and makes sure that my boss and colleagues understand where my time is being spent. It's also helped in cases when I've been working on something, and see a co-worker post something similar or that augments what I'm doing so that we can then work together on it.

Pros

I enjoy being able to peruse my coworkers accomplishments for the week and seeing their feedback on my own. The high fives are also very motivating. It's nice to be able to pull your teammates up for the good work that they're doing and equally nice to know my own work is being noticed and appreciated.

Cons

I do wish we could edit our weekly goals when I'm submitting my final report. Or if I could report progress toward a goal. For example, I may have a goal to create a Knowledge Base article, but during the week, became very busy and was only able to get half way through. It would be nice to update it to either state that the article was started or to show that I've progressed 50% of the way and the other 50% roll onto next week's goals.

I've had a single place so showcase my accomplishments and outline challenges for my boss as a result of our use of 15Five.

Pros

I'm a remote employee so 15Five is necessary for me to track my development and growth with my manager.

Cons

Navigating between screens can feel confusing. Feels like they added more features over the years but didn't make it easy to navigate between them. Wish I could quickly move from my 15Five to my 1:1 to my weekly wins and challenges without all the extra clicks. But this is nitpicky.

15 Five is very easy to use. Your daily activities are easily tracked like maintaining a diary. You can tag people and send High fives or kudos, like instant appreciation.

Cons

I believe the user experience can be improved a bit. The overall page load and performance needs a little improvement.

We've been using 15Five for a long time, and its become our main feedback and recognition tool. Overall we get good value from it.

Pros

It provides a lot of value in terms of getting the pulse of our teams, and it helps with keeping team members consistent in giving feedback. Its notes and 1:1 features also are helpful for creating talking points. The kudos feature, integrated with our Slack is also widely used and it has become one of our main recognition tools .

Cons

Some links from email reminders don't work as expected and internal navigation is perhaps not as intuitive as it could be.

Pros

My employees have been required to submit their 15Five every Friday for about the last 2 years. We are very happy with the software. It is a great platform for employees to voice their opinions, suggestions, concerns, and successes. It is also a great place for each manager to review and respond to their team in an open and structured avenue.

Cons

I can honestly say that I don't have anything negative to say about 15Five. It is a very valuable tool used every week for us!

### "Interesting concept but not enough to merit a full on service"

Good but not a killer app.

Pros

This SaaS offering is very simple - a way to quickly give "virtual" high fives to other colleagues as well as report back on your current status and mood. The website has a simple and intuitive interface. Our company would use this the tally all the feedback and kudos during the week, then present a small gift to the person with the most kudos. We also had ICs do status reports using 15five which rolled up weekly. This is actually one of the best uses as it beats using google docs.

Cons

Ultimately it was deemed that 15five did not differentiate itself enough from other similar applications to merit the monthly payment. We resorted to tallying kudos using a custom Slack integration which worked out just as well. It did not have enough features to make it indispensable in our normal workflow.

I like it. Super fast and responsive - but I would use it more and use more of the features if I could configure the settings like adding agenda items from a team member's 15/5 and having those items be private to me until I'm ready to share them in a 1/1 with that team member - and if I could update progress on objectives more easily.

Pros

I like that you can configure it to capture just what you are looking for from your team when you ask them questions, but also that I can add items from their 15/5 right to a 1on-1 agenda. And that I can give high-fives right from that screen - so I don't forget to do it later. I like the reminders about the upcoming week, but somehow my reminders are always from my previous week's priorities? Not sure how to fix that. But I also like that when I fill my own review out that it keeps me on track with priorities and reminders.

Cons

I don't like how difficult it is to update an objective's progress or due date. I am always hunting around for that. I also don't like that the objectives are all public-facing -- as a manager, I have many things I am working on that are HR sensitive matters. I also don't like that when I add items from one of my team's comments in their 15/5 to a 1.1 agenda - that it generates a comment to them - I find that unnecessary and frankly, a nuisance - these are notes for me, not for them - and when they get emails about those things it prompts them to come talk to me about or send a note about it immediately instead of waiting until I'm ready to discuss it with them. I don't use that feature now for that reason.

Generally positive - I do like this central place where I can keep track of work done, objectives, etc.

Pros

I like that it's a single place where my manager and I can coordinate on overall objectives and weekly tactical plans

Cons

Not always intuitive, sometimes requires me to re-write things to fit the format Annoying that when I add items for the week that I did not submit the week before, I cannot comment on them and they are pre-checked as done. Objectives aren't that flexible - sometimes I need sub-bullets and I have to break it up weirdly Not easy to take notes / add action items while discussing items in 1:1 - I have to keep scrolling up and down - would be better to put the list of discussion topics side by side with notes fields or add functionality to the discussion topics where I can take notes on them and /or set action items

Pros

15five mechanics is great. OKRS are synced with individuals/departments and weekly goals. Great reports.

Cons

No ability to schedule 1-1s with your indirects.

Pros

I've used this product at two very different companies on both sides, reviewing and filling out 15fives. They're great. The suggested questions are great and it's really easy to add new ones. Once we started using the tool, I saw changes pretty quickly at my comapny. I've also tried to do the same thing for those employees for which I am a reviewer. I think every company needs to go through the weekly feedback process and 15five is simply a really easy and efficient way to do it.

Cons

I'm highly critical and I'm not sure that there are any. Although, I'm not the one who pays for it so maybe that's a con?

It has helped inner team communication! And it has helped me improve my supervisor skills.

Pros

I like the objectives/goals and how they they integrate with the weekly tasks. I love the questions that you can setup for each report and that I can add my own questions for those i supervise. I also love the feature of adding things from the weekly 15Five to the 1-on-1 agendas!

Cons

Perhaps it is something that I just don't know how to do well, but I think the Department and company wide objectives could be integrated better. We have some setup but there is not a great way to divide out individual responsibilities without setting up individual objectives and linking them to the parent objective. I wish I could delegate key results of department objectives to individual objectives.

Pros

It was used by our entire organization. It helps in tracking performance management, individual focus, giving and receiving feedback, etc., It also helps a lot in cross-functional teams. Once can also appreciate other's impact in the team by giving high-fives.

Cons

It could also include a bunch of analytics to make it even useful. There are certain unwanted questions that are redundant and can be optional. It's integration to other software can be improved.

My overall experience with 15Five is very positive. It helps me keep track of my personal goals and initiatives within the company as well as helps us manage our team-wide responsibilities and KPI's.

Pros

Sometimes I feel directionless on Monday mornings. I love how 15Five cures this by having me reflect on what I accomplished (and didn't) the previous week, and also sets me up for success with what I need to do for the upcoming week. I also really like the platform it provides for engaging with my manager, giving him insights into my current pros, cons, and areas of concern, so that we can address them together head-on.

Cons

There are times when it can be a little tedious to answer some of the same questions over again weekly. This is probably more on my managers than the software though.

I believe our leaders are using 15Five as an engagement pulse tool and to set the tactical arm for our OKRs. I LOVE the ability to high five colleagues and have the wider team view it. Gives a sense of good-will, team and individual recognition.

Pros

I enjoy the ease of use, the time it takes and how it allows my manager to keep a pulse on our engagement - it helps set priorities for the coming week, ensures alignment and serves as topical areas for our 1:1.

Cons

I'm not sure if our company/leaders are incentivized for our scores, but everyone receives an "intervention" if you rate a 3 or less. This has led to the unintended consequence of folks lying about their scores. How are scores normalized across the group? There should be some stronger definition around the star rating perhaps.

Love this tool. It keeps both myself and my boss in regular contact and helps to plan out next steps and accomplishments.

Pros

This tool is excellent at keeping my boss and I on the same page. You can easily add talking points for your upcoming meeting and keep track of your conversations, priorities and even annual 'wins' and 'challenges'.

Cons

The mobile app is good but isn't as robust as the desktop version.

Overall, this keeps my team communicating what our weekly goals are, how we are doing throughout the week, and if we need help from others. Weekly i also find myself exploring how great some of my teammates are doing by watching for "High Fives" from their other coworkers.

Pros

The ease of use it the best part of the software. It is easily implemented into my already busy weeks. We find value in the radical candor we can have in this platform.

Cons

Honestly, it is hard to find dislikes. If I were to be extremely nit picky however, I would say that some of the navigation to find new features or some of your past comments is difficult.

15Five allows me to pause and consciously think about what achievements and challenges I experienced in a specific week. It provides a great basis for conversations with my manager, honor my co-workers hard work in the high five section, and allows me to give feedback to the executive level of the company.

Pros

15five offers the possibility to have everything you need for tracking general tasks and progress in one place. You can look up previous weekly reports for context, get feedback from employees on specific topics, can track 1:1s with your manager, and give colleagues recognition in the High Five section. I started using 15Five 6 months ago and it is great!

Cons

So far, 15five only helped me to be more efficient and find everything I need in one spot. No complaints up until today!

Pros

I seriously love 15Five from an organizational perspective. It makes a lot of sense for a business owner or manager to implement 15Five into their workplace. It gets your employee to have open and honest conversations all while not having to move from their desk.... but keep reading below.

Cons

While it's great from an idea perspective, in reality, it doesn't always work as planned. You will see that your employees still hold out on providing the whole truth. And frankly, can you blame them? It's hard to have a fully open conversation with your manager, and this software tries to make that happen. From a managers perspective, it's best to implement this software with an in person conversation. While it's easy to just use it weekly online, it's best to have an employee fill out their 15Five and go through it together during an in-person meeting. Do whatever you can to get your employees to speak the whole truth - but keep in mind, it is insanely hard to get everything out.

Cons

I can only capture notes for one on ones with my direct manager and those who report for me. I would appreciate the ability to use the tool with my ongoing meetings with others, even those who don’t report to me.

I am very satisfied with 15Five! I think weekly 15Fives are great for transparency and keep me on track. It opens up a dialogue with my manager on things I am doing well or need help on, as well as overall feeling, night/weekend work, etc. I think it's a great product that all companies should use!

Pros

I really like the 1:1 feature, that allows both shared and private notes, talking points, and action items! And they are great to refer back to if needed. I also love the high five feature to celebrate wins with your co-workers.

Cons

There is nothing that I have come across that I don't like so far! I don't think our team has utilized it enough though, in terms of exploring all of the features this software has to offer (examples: objectives, wins & challenges, career vision, etc.)

It´s been a great experience and a major asset to improve internal processes in our company. We are looking forward to continue working with 15five for a long time.

Pros

15five was deployed and adopted by the whole company very quickly. It has a great design for weekly performance track across any department. It comes with excellent Social Media features to improve employees engagement and work environment improvement. Every week you can setup a series of questions for your workgroup, and keep them engaged, monitored and aware of their performance as individual and as a team.

Cons

The GUI could use a Revamp for nowadays standards. We found the financial deal somewhat high, but not a deal breaker taking into account the features it offers.

I like that I have a duty to document my performance and areas for improvement.I have clearly documented all the communications I can return to. It also comes with Slack, so if I have to, I can get reminders

Cons

I hope it automatically syncs with my Google calendar, so if I'm not on a Friday, I know it'll skip check-in weeks. Now I have added the holiday by hand.

Great experience with the product, but we ended up getting rid of the product because it wasn't something we were "living" in at all points of the week. Team members were struggling to input their updates and we found an easier way with a product we already had.

Pros

Thoroughly enjoy being able to provide feedback and updates within the product. It helps my manager and team see what is on my plate and if I have any capacity to help them with additional projects.

Cons

Integration, in order for me to use this product at it's highest capacity; it needs to integrate into tools that I'm already using. AKA slack and jira.
