Pros Excellent user experience. Employees are reluctant to fill in "performance reviews" or "TPS reports", but 15Five is designed to be quick and easy. It was not hard to get my staff to use this tool reliably every week. Cons Although I don't know how they would improve it, the mobile experience might be the area where 15Five needs the most work. Keeping this going throughout the year, I think is great because it not only keeps you on track for goals, but also helps with keeping the communication going between management and other co-workers. Pros Software is easy to use. Also love the reminders during the week on how we are doing with our goals for the week. Very helpful in keeping us in check. I also like the feedback we can give to our co-workers. The knowledge that their managers will see the feedback is great because everyone likes to give and receive positive reinforcement of a job well done and constructive criticism as well. Cons My experience so far has been positive. From the option of entering information via my laptop or an App, it's all great. They enjoy getting feedback and they really enjoy updating their otherwise clueless bosses on the great things they are accomplishing! : ) Cons There is just so much power in the tool that we have not found the time to explore and implement everything yet. I would love a way to see what my employee is going to see before I finalize their report. That way I see the questions I created for them with the Suggestion Box, the company wide questions, etc. and know exactly what they will see as I am designing changes. It's convenient vs having to schedule time with him. Pros The UI for the entire web application is very nice. It's easy to navigate. I can access my past 15fives, high fives, all from one screen which is great. They've made it very easy to navigate on the site which is great! Cons There are no advanced editing options when submitting a 15five. I've wanted to include images in the past but have not been able to, so it does have it limitations. It set the course for regular performance review cycles which in turn leave people feeling more motivated. In general, it's a morale booster – though it can get repetitive. I think a few tweaks to make features more robust and easy to use will go along way. I want to document my own personal growth and objectives – maybe totally privately – in an easier way. Pros This software is excellent for small businesses looking to streamline and professionalize their HR approach. Prior to 15five, my company basically had no formal HR system, which I think is surprisingly common amongst small and medium sized companies. I like the report structure. I like the tracking over time. I like/use nearly all of the features. Cons There are a lot of features that are buried. It took me several months of use to find, then understand how to use objectives. The peer review process was also a little weird as it asked me to comment on my co-workers' career goals and trajectory – not information I had access to. I would like to see more structure around professional development for individuals. It seems like there's a lot of overlap/confusion around flagging for followup, adding items to a 1:1, following up, commenting. I wish it was all even just a little bit simpler. It allows me to feel heard and it gives my supervisor the opportunity to address anything that might seem out of the ordinary, or encourage me for things done well. It's a good way to improve company morale and keep track of progress, goals, and the emotional energy of an organization. Pros What I appreciate about 15five, is how simple the software is to use. The User Experience is, for the most part, fairly straightforward and the platform isn't cluttered by useless tools that take away from its main purpose: which is to provide a quick, easy way to provide feedback in a safe environment. I also appreciate that it reminds you about 24 hours before your report is due, that way you don't have any reason not to share. Cons If you mess up on a submitted form, or fill in the form for the wrong week, it's not easy to correct it. the platform keeps track of how often you submit your reviews (called "streaks") and so if that's something your company cares about, it's not easy to fix on your own. Super easy to use, truly only takes 5 minutes, and if your manager is on top of it can be really useful to inform what should be talked about in one on one meetings. Cons It's very simple. It serves a simple purpose, so perhaps it doesn't need to be more complicated, but it seems like something you could easily do on, say, a google doc sheet. And it is reliant on your manager being diligent about looking at the answers and responding accordingly (though, of course the software doesn't have much control over that). It builds a better team environment, and for those embracing the customer success model of business it is a MUST HAVE! Pros I like the ease of use and the ways I am able to describe weekly goals, and struggles. I love that my team is synced with me so that they can see and understand what my team is doing (different than theirs), and I can see theirs. It gives me a simple platform to give myself weekly goals and strategies, and to acknowledge others for their work as well. Cons Simple also can be restrictive. As a user not a manager I do not get to much range of editing my week goals and objectives outside of the simple setup. It can get repetitive. Cons As an employee that used this, it made the Boss/Employee relationship awkward. I felt like all I was doing was helping HR create a book on me to do what they pleased. It takes me 5 minutes to fill out, and 15 minutes ffor my manager to review and give feedback. I always dreaded writing status reports or having a long call to review my activities. 15Five made it simplier to gather my thoughts and I breeze through my weekly status. I love you can change questions every week and tag other users within feedback. Cons Better way to manage issue that are prevalent throughout the team from the manager perspective. If the manager could create their own tags or labels, so that they show their boss over time that this issue appears throughout multiple team members and/or throughout multiple weeks. " January 18, 2017 5.0 Our team uses 15Five to communicate ideas, wins, and identify issues. Especially as our offices expand and our team grows, it's been wonderful to have a tool that holds accountable and provides some continuity across the board. We've also been using it as reinforcement for training so that our new members can reiterate important information. Our account and sales teams are able to share big wins and improvements and our team supports have tools to gain insight they might otherwise miss. Our company participates in profit sharing and the "High 5" feature allows me to see who I've consistently been praising and for what reason--allowing me a more educated recommendation. Pros \- Easy interface - Great customer service - Enforces accountability - Creates a space for communication and continued company culture - It's quick Cons I'd like to see analytics and suggestions from it.
