Pros I have been able to look all the way down to the lowest level of the org chart to identify issues much quicker. Allowing me to get a better sense of what is going on around the company to assist in the development of our culture. Cons I have not really used the home page at all. To much scrolling. Would like to see a single screen snap shot of what I need to see and clickable if I need to drill down. The content seen would be editable by individual users. Reason for choosing 15Five Initially we were looking for something to help us align individually and company OKRs. We looked at several companies and narrowed it down to two. During the search we determined that how the product engaged the CFRs was the top priority. We felt that the approach 15five has taken was the best for what we needed. Pros I love how easy it is to run weekly meetings now. In fact, because of this software we don’t have to meet nearly as much, because I can get status updates and comment on projects through the software and by asking pointed questions. Has been a huge help to me as I work with specific audiences to change behaviors or perspectives. The analytics are well presented, and create a compelling story. It provides clarity as to where we need to focus our efforts. The team at Emplify cares about our success and continues to offer valuable insight as we navigate significant change within our organization. Pros User friendly, strong analytics and most importantly, I receive strong objective support from our Emplify advocate on next steps following each survey. Cons It can be a little challenging to not have a full view of prior surveys in the portal. You can see the progression of the results, but not a full dive into the old surveys. It is always said that "Actions speak louder than words", but sometimes you need to deliver what you "ACTIONED" and 15Five gives that opportunity to me. Pros It is a great platform to showcase our achievements, good and bad experiences, aims objectives and several other things. It acts as a bridge between the employees, management and HR while each one needs to review their performances. Cons Just one thing that it is weekly. It is a good way to keep up with what everyone is doing and make sure that people are being productive each week. It is easy to use which encourages teammates to do it. It only takes about 10 minutes to fill out, making it a quick and easy reporting tool for everyone. Pros I like seeing what is going on each week with my team. I also like giving and getting high fives from teammates. Cons Sometimes the questions it asks each week aren't very relevant. I'm not sure if that has to do with how my company has it set up or if it is the software. I'm also checking in with my team on a much regular basis. Pros I love having a central place where I can keep in touch with my employees, and we are both able to visualize their tasks, objectives, and work plans in one place. Cons Most everything is user friendly, but some of the structure (e.g. the best way to sort your objectives and key results) can be confusing to understand at first. I really like using this tool Pros 15five is a brilliant way for both yourself and your manager to track progress, alongside weekly and monthly goals. I like the ability to be able to fill in weekly feedback where you can reflect on the week but also plan your next week in advance to help give structure. The high fives are a really great way to recognise people in the company especially when most people are more remote now. Cons I have found the new update a bit confusing to navigate and the long term objectives can be difficult to keep updated on a regular basis, so it would be good to keep that seperate to your weekly 15five. Cons It requires real commitment, you must prioritise and make time for the team particularly if you have a ton of direct reports. Pros My team uses the questions feature and we have a bank of questions we each respond to on a monthly cadence. It provides a more direct way to reflect on my progress rather than having to answer a general "how was the week"? It also allows for real self-reflection prior to a 1x1, by writing out my thoughts ahead of time our 1x1s are actionable. Cons I wish there was a better notification then email to tell me I missed a week. But I'm not sure one exists. I'm filling this part out because the review wouldn't save if I didn't. It is user-friendly, easy to switch from screen to screen, and integrates with other software we use at my company like Slack. I appreciate the way it also allows me to set weekly and yearly goals. It also provides a forum for my supervisor and me to conduct our 1:1. As a former supervisor, this would have been so helpful to use as I was managing a large team. Pros What I love about 15Five is the way it lifts a culture. I am new to my company and using 15Five has encouraged others to highlight my wins as I learn and grow. It also forces me at the end of the week when my review is due to think back on those who contributed to my success and growth and give them a high five (therein encouraging them). I cannot express what a joy it is to use this tool. I wish all of my former employers implemented 15Five to help lift up a more positive culture. Cons There is nothing I do not like about 15Five. If the company and/or manager truly invests in reading and responding to each 15:5 report, the improvement in team focus is measurable. 15:5 also has a module to track and manage OKRs, allowing weekly and longer term focuses to be measured and tracked in one place. It's very helpful to have things to focus on already interpreted from within the surveys instead of just tallying and averaging results to individual survey questions. Cons They used to have a very nice, fully customizable platform for resource app development, but that went away when Apple made some big changes to their app store policies. Team members can submit answers, comments, etc. to various topics, questions, etc. to their direct reports. Folks can even give shout outs to their co-workers. This allows managers and higher-levels to track the attitude, morale, needs, etc of a team through feedback and ratings of how things went that week. Cons I felt like the product could get monotonous over time. Perhaps it could work better to be more engaging long-term. It is a very good and competent objective tracker that we have been able to use to track objectives as a team, division, and individual. Allowing tracking for objectives on both the weekly scale, up to yearly. Cons There isn't much to dislike about 15Five, from a truly operational standpoint. It is a chance, every other week, to stay in touch with everyone and share a snapshot view of one's market at that time. Pros This software allows me to "be myself" when explaining the ups and downs of my position here in this market. It allows me to voice my concerns in a more candid, private setting. Cons Having to stretch for that second and third reason I'm not on top of the world, waiting to explode. For me, it's either good or bad. I try not to hype the good, because it usually short lived.
