I also appreciate how easy it is to move things into an agenda for my next 1:1 meeting with my manager. Pros 15Five is great at helping the communication between my manager and I. It provides a quick and easy way for me to log information related to my work, questions, thoughts, or feedback. My manager reviews my weekly 15Five submission quickly and comments on what I've written, and takes action on concerns I brought up. Cons I would like an android app to interface with the content. Pros I love the feedback loops from my supervisor and my peers. Also, the objective alignment features for each of your tasks is incredible. Cons Not much to dislike. Pretty straightforward and effective tool. The reporting leaves a little to be desired. Would be great to have cleaner reports to show overall team progress against our goals. It fosters consistent connection between managers and employees, which is so important for culture and performance, and can be very difficult in this jam packed, fast moving work world. The ability to ask questions also allows me to collect useful insights that can be applied to how we run our company. Pros Provides cross communication between departments and projects, I like that they have incorporated social media-like attributes (i.e. tagging people, liking comments). This tool allows you to customize the questions you want to ask. Cons I haven't found anything that I dislike about this tool as of yet, it is simple, clear and it does what we need it to do. December 14, 2016 5.0 Communication is a key to keeping your employees engaged, but finding the right tools to make it happen is not always easy. The Emplify App is not only a tool for employees but our company as well. I love that we can text or email any of our employees right from the directory that we've created for the App. We can send notifications to the entire staff when we have something to celebrate, or poll the entire staff when we need their help. Part of our workforce is out in the field. The App is a great way to bridge the communication gap and we can send info to that specific group. From a human resources standpoint, putting all of the benefits information right at employees' fingertips is a huge time saver. I was a bit skeptical at first. I thought it would be a lot of work to learn how to use it and to keep up-to-date, plus I wasn't sure that employees would embrace it. The App is easy to use, easy to update and I'm sure our employees would agree that our communication efforts are much improved. I have already recommended Emplify to several companies. Pros It allows me to quickly and easily give support and feedback as an administrator, and receive as a user. It keeps the lines of communication open with on-going accountability. Cons I was introduced to the software as part of a business acceleration program I belong to. I love the ability to report in and get immediate feedback once a week from my business coach. So I decided to try using this with my own clients. So, I am using this in a non-traditional manner; not for my employees but with personal coaching clients. I've found it a bit difficult initially to adjust the questions and format to be appropriate in this setting. And there was lots of confusion how to keep the "membership" of the business group separate from my private clients, and me signing in on one side as a user, and then the other as an administrator. It took a lot of time getting it straightened out with customer service. But now it is running smoothly. It's an easy effective communication tool for organizations. Pros 15Five is so intuitive and easy to use. It requires no education or tutorials. I was able to use it as soon as I logged in. It allows me to communicate with my boss quickly and easy to focus on things that are important. I also like the ability to send out high fives to team members. Cons I wish as a user that I can make a note when I'm on vacation and mute the emails/15Five eval for the week. It allows us to be flexible with each individual given their unique job responsibilities. And, it is fun and friendly for peer-to-peer recognition. Cons We have launched this in phases, so I still have a lot to learn with the annual review component. Pros This is great software to facilitate communication between employees and management. From both sides, the daily check-in or meetings can be hard, this software streamlines this software and makes the communication much more smooth and painless. I like how my manager can easily see and comment on what I've been doing. I also find the high five tool a convenient and good way to send kudos to teammates. Cons Customizing the questions seems a little more complicated than it should be. I feel included, and like I know what is going on - the transparent company and department goals are great. Pros It centralizes weekly goals, long term goals, company goals, feedback, progress, and encourages transparent communication between managers and staff. It lays out the corporate goals, department goals, and personal goals clearly to get everyone on the same page. I love the "High Five" feature - it promotes public encouragement among the workplace. I also really enjoy seeing my supervisor's feedback each week on my 15Five. Cons I have forgotten to hit "submit" and then was late for my weekly 15Five deadline.
