My admin loads the photos pretty quickly, and I can share albums with corporate partners documenting their sponsorships, and have that documentation to them within the same week. This documentation is so critical to sustaining my sponsors, and for it all to be in one place and easy to distribute, makes my job so much easier. Cons For what I use it for, I don't really have anything negative to say. Load time is a bit slow at times, I suppose, but that seems like an issue more on my end depending if I'm on wifi or not. September 20, 2018 5.0 Pros I like that it is a self-service database where associates can access approved, current assets without having to ask staff to spend time finding or recreating assets. You know the content is approved and ready to use. The Canto drag and drop feature makes adding assets to files super easy. The tagging option has been super helpful. I also really like how you can sort how you want to view your images. I would often have a photo in mind that I've seen before but not be sure where to find it. Or else I'd have a need for a certain type of photo but have trouble finding one that fit that need. This really simplifies that process. Cons The facial recognition is a great feature, but you do have to pay attention to it. Pros Ease of use, simple design and layout, great customer service from the Canto team. Always willing to consider updates that solve our questions and concerns. Cons Occasional problems with custom fonts and image rendering. Most of our issues are related to unexpected software functions but most are easily resolved once we're familiar with how it works. October 20, 2017 4.0 As a photo database, it is incredibly streamlined & easy to use. We have multiple departments that need access to our photo cache & because it is so streamlined, it is very easy to train other users on best practices for using this product quickly, which makes the database easy to maintain with little oversight. Pros The simplicity of the design makes it feel incredibly streamlined. Being able to connect to other Cloud-based storage is very helpful. As a milennial, I find it incredibly user-friendly & intuitive (though my older coworkers still have trouble). Cons The search functionality is limiting & easily the hardest process to teach/explain to less savvy coworkers. I would love to see an 'advanced search' feature to search within specific folders, with combined terms, etc. without those different terms being confused in the search. Review Source VC Valerio C. Saves a great deal of money. Pros Good customer service is critical. Canto has the best customer service response I have ever worked with. Cons The permissions and user tiers cause me some grief. Pros The user experience is very intuitive and navigating to find what you need takes seconds. Custom branding and narrowed portal experiences are game changers for our company. The ease of user setup and Cons There is very little to complain about when using FLIGHT. I began as an Archivist with a group who was already using the software, but had not really taken much time to learn what it can do. That was my job. Almost immediately I hit the ground running, and I could not be happier with Cumulus as a tool. It is incredibly customizable, and you can manipulate the software to do pretty much anything digital assets management might require. That might be it's only downside too: The software is so customizable that it may take a little bit f tinkering to get things exactly the way you want them, but their training staff do an excellent job of making sure the users aren't lost in a sea of options. They do a wonderful job of helping you customize the software to make it work for you. I sleep well at night knowing that Cumulus is storing our digital assets, and I do not worry about data loss.
