I would not use ever again. Their system is very basic - the parsing of any information is very poor. and you pay a premium for it. The fact you need a (paid) external add on for anything useful, tells you everything you need to know.

Pros

Absolutely nothing. The layout is poor - too many clicks to get what you need. I have paid half of their subscription and get 10 times more accessability with other systems

Cons

CV Parsing makes no sense. It will only pick out wording from their own Master list. Parsing only works with words associated with job titles?? Extremely hard to track where your CV's have been sent. there is a lot of clicks to get where you need to be. Long time for wait on system issues you find. I wait about a week for someone to say to me that they cant fix it. Sending mass emails is very complicated. Hot lists and shortlists is confusing

I believe it had the capabilities needed but I think it takes more up front investment in order to be used effectively, I got support a few times while using it and found them helpful.

Pros

It was really simple to use and navigate through, It captured data from LinkedIn very easily. I believe the appearance can be customized by organization. Posted directly to job boards in a few clicks.

Cons

It was slow and looked really old, searching was a little frustrating giving inaccurate results at times

### "A Slowly Dying Product "

It was great when we first bought it 5 years ago, but it has not kept up with the times. Their support is great, but so is the support at Loxo (and many other applications that are cheaper with better features). They also outright lie to you in order to sell you additional products that do not work the way they say they do. They did mass layoffs because they are losing market share. I would not recommend going onto this platform!

Pros

Support is great - that is literally the only nice thing I can say about this product b/c everything else is garbage.

Cons

This is the most antiquated system out there. They are doing mass layoffs and losing a lot of people to Loxo, which is what we switched to, and there is a reason for it. Loading people into the database is painful; nothing is integrated, and everything is an additional charge. Email automaton is an additional charge, but it's spammy, and you can't cater. The LinkedIn integration doesn't work properly. No AI in the entire system, no note-taking. There are too many steps and clicks to get simple things done. It's not easy to find information, and the search is the worst I've ever seen. It's still one of the most expensive platforms on the market, but it's not worth the price.

Great platform, database tool is top of the market, add ons make it shine even better. Once your recruitment program is a little bit mature, it's a must get.

Pros

Really solid, modular tool. I've used it for nearly 10 years, and it's all you needs as a recruiter. Workflows are intuitive, candidate/client database is very organized & searchable, and customization is strong. Some of the add ons will improve the tool dramatically - and the integrations to make this work with your other internal tech stack are easy to set up and manage.

Cons

Some of the outreach tools (email sends, mass messages, etc) are a bit old and don't offer a lot of variability.

Pros

Bullhorn is an absolute lifesaver for recruiters. The UI is clean, modern, and easy to navigate. It integrates smoothly with other tools, saving tons of time. The automation features are really dang good, making tracking candidates and managing pipelines so easy. Their customer support is also super responsive and really helpful in my opinion.

Cons

Pricing can be a bit steep, but honestly, you get what you pay for. Some minor bugs here and there, but nothing that impacts daily work.

Great CRM system. Very easy to navigate and use. Works very quickly. Can multiple tabs/pages opened at the one time which is useful.

The automatic log out time can be a pain at times as it refreshes all tabs that you may have had opened.

Bullhorn is a great CRM system, it's easy to learn and use and it has served us well so far. Our staff have picked it up easily however the odd technical glitch can be quite frustrating.

Pros

I like that the contacts, clients and candidates can all link up so you can keep track of everything and i love how you can track your recruitment process as it's happening.

Cons

We have had a couple of issues with latency in the past which has been time consuming. A lot of this happened when Bullhorn transitioned to the S Release

Overall, it's quite good to deal with. Everything is laid out quite well and it integrates with a lot of 3rd party solutions.

Pros

I like that it's relatively easy to create pipelines of candidates, create jobs, track opportunities, and create tasks.

Cons

I wish Bullhorn would integrate candidate headshots (usually found on LinkedIn) to help identify candidates. I also find that the website will stop working properly after being open for about 5-6 hours and will need refreshing.

Pros

Deciding to switch to Bullhorn was the best decision our firm made. It is easy to use, and has improved our efficiency immensely. Bullhorn even allows us to store documents on it, allowing our firm to go 100% paperless. This product is incredible.

Cons

This product requires somewhat of a learning curve, but once you get it, it get's much easier to use. I also wish more features were available for Team Edition users.

Add people can sometimes be a pain. When we people that apply through bullhorn they still dont show up in bullhorn and you have manually add them which takes time. Also if you dont use bullhorn for like 30min it logs you out.

Generally good, which is why we have stayed for 3 years. Works well. Solid CRM.

Pros

It is relatively easy to use, process thorugh the job etc works./ The system works which is better than when I sued Vincere. The help desk does repsond quickly. You have to log. Onboarding is ok - strong processes. But like any larger company it is on you. You have to watch vieos to learn the system and people supporting changes regularly so you will find your knowledge within a year will be better than people supporting you. But as I say the help team will pass you on to experienced people if the problem exists. Overall is a good system, a larger company with the usual larger company processes.

Cons

Advertising - works but adding a job for multiple jobs can be long winded. Indexing we have had issues with, searching for candidates and not coming up, but they are on there. The biggest issue is Bullhorn partners, very expensive and not al that great.Be wary for all CRMs and Bullhorn when they repsond with yes we have a partner that can do that, for example text messaging. Creating a branded Cv should be easier. Parsing could be better. There answer is we have a partner. Some of this you expect the CRM to do, at the end of the day what are you paying for, if the answer is we have a partner.

While there may be some glitches to using Bullhorn ATS & CRM, the overall experience is positive. Its ability to post jobs on multiple sites all at once is impressive and works well. If the software performance of the ATS can be improved, it will be a tough ATS to beat in the market.

Pros

I like the certain amount of automation this ATS has. Bullhorn sends follow-up messages, schedules and posts jobs on its own, if promoted to do so. Bullhorn is more comprehensive than other applicant tracking systems as it can also integrate with other HR tools and background checks.

Cons

Customer support can be improved as it is difficult to get training programs and sessions on new features. There are several software bugs that come up when moving candidates through the various stages of recruitments process which can be frustrating and slow down the recruiter in their work. There is a lack of reporting and analytics support from the ATS as well.

Nuestra experiencia general con Bullhorn es regular, si bien a la hora de buscar candidatos su funcionamiento es bastante correcto, la verdad es que es bastante lento y su interfaz no es muy moderna, pero si cumple su cometido. Lo hemos utilizado como software de busqueda de trabajadores y la verdad es que tiene algunas caracteristicas muy interesantes, pero por ejemplo la conexion con linkelind no funciona correctamente.Con todas estas cosas, no muy a favor y su elevado precio, nosotros hemos buscado mas CRM para hacer este tipo de busquedas.

Pros

Su interfaz es facil e intuitiva, nos resulto muy util el seguimiento de candidatos y la posibilidad de ver sus curriculum vitae. La posibilidad de hacer anotaciones en cada uno de los candidatos tambien nos ha gustado mucho.

Cons

La aplicacion movil es bastante mejorable, y tambien hemos notado en la version de escritorio que es un poco lenta. Es mas caro que la mayoria de los CRM que hemos barajado para utilizar.

I'm a former MaxHire advocate, user, trainer, etc. Love the platform. So this is kind of like a Chevy fanatic reviewing a Ford :-)

Pros

Very clean interface. No over-crowding. Mostly intuitive to use. Love that it's not an installed client on a machine and is cloud based. I like how you can immediately edit some field values on records while viewing them in list format. Love the reporting features and functionality. Hands down 1 of the best here that I've seen.

Cons

uploading data by .csv...if some data on the spreadsheet is a dupe in BH, it will tell you that x# of the uploads were duplicate. Okay - great. But then, that x# of dupes don't get displayed in my list. So then I have saved the new uploads into a tearsheet, sort the tearsheet A-Z and then open my spreadsheet to cross reference who the missing x#s are to then go find them individually in BH and add to the tearsheet. In MaxHire - which Bullhorn OWNS - I get an option to add the dupes to the list. BRILLIANT! Activities tab in a person record - I think by default always shows (0). But once you click it, you can then see placements, interviews, appointments, tasks, etc. This makes it really challenging to quickly search for those who have any of those activities. The Bullhorn Accelerator browser extension rarely works. How many times do I have to continue logging in to use it? Same for the Outlook add-in. Set up - I'm really disappointed that Bullhorn doesn't take the additional time on initial configuration to work with new clients on setting up (or at least notifying the client of these things) email integration with Outlook or Gmail. This should be a default practice by Bullhorn. I've now been at 2 companies on Bullhorn who didn't even have this setup and didn't even know the possibility existed. Bullhorn should be making these recommendations - they are called best practices - or making these things set up defaults. I know the user has to work with their domain host/email host. Tearsheets - brilliant idea - but to me, a tearsheet is my call list. I put people in a tearsheet per my planning for the next day. You open the tearsheet and you have to open each record to get to the phone number to be able to call them. This is an epic fail. Tearsheet lists don't even display the binoculars for a profile quick view. That would help. Tearsheets don't allow you to manipulate the fields being displayed on the tearsheet (to display contact info). This is a big fail. It was only after months of frustration that we opened a ticket about this to learn that we have to open the tearsheet through contact or candidate fields to then get access to what makes a tearsheet beneficial in the first place. Totally frustrating. Calendar - EPIC FAIL - Bullhorn doesn't have a calendar. I live in Bullhorn, but have to use my Google Calendar or Outlook calendar to see what my day looks like? Again - you guys OWN MaxHire. Another great feature for Bullhorn to make happen. And if I book appointments for people on my team with a client or candidate (and I won't be attending), I don't even see the event at all because I didn't invite myself to get the message to my inbox to then accept my own invitation. Come on - that's frustrating. How can I see when to follow up or get a reminder to follow up if it doesn't exist on my calendar.

It's changed the way we recruit. Allows us to give a really positive candidate experience because we can track our interactions to be personable.

Pros

Easy to use, cost effective, customisable and bespoke to us. The file noting of candidate interactions, ability to easily merge profiles. It's a professional solution, so much better than the HRIS systems with their inbuilt ATS. It's billed on per user, so its very cheap. The support team are excellent.

Cons

Rolling it out and customising was a challenge but was worth it. The mobile app with default customisation is pretty basic so needs work. Sometimes the viewing of CV's in the platform is clunky depending on the CV but still fine.

### "Disappointed - All Talk & No Follow Through"

I rarely leave poor reviews. However; I was so thoroughly taken in with a software I want to share my experience for future potential users. The customer service is great from the tech team- they get in touch with you quickly. However; I was often finding work arounds myself, or being advised work arounds instead of having issues resolved (example- The DPA/Non DPA issue- an excel spreadsheet can do this, yet a CRM cannot?) I was debited on the incorrect date & then when I requested they refund until the due date, I was re-debited again on the correct date. The communication was poor- their billing team are based in the US and there was no acknowledgement of the mistake. My initial consultant chased them down for me, and advised me of their error. Lucky. The product was oversold. For example; I was advised their 'merge docs' feature would allow me to bull data directly from the 'Overview', 'Work Histories' which later proved to be false. Finally, when I requested to end my contract & transfer my data (I advised a specific date I needed it, when my CRM would be ready) they advised it would take 15 business days & I was to put no further data in my system during that 15 days, and then gave me my data after 3. I now have no CRM for 4 weeks. It's just a complete lack of regard, or care about individual customers once you've signed. There is no continuity of care & it's extremely disappointing for me as a customer, & their sales team who did a great job in the beginning.

Pros

\- The ability to hashtag consultants, client contacts & candidates - The appearance is user friendly - The ability to customise individual views at the consultant level - The availability of training online - The ability to customise yourself without the help of the team.

Cons

\- It's old & clunky with attempts to modernise its appearance & features. - The search uses boolean so consultants require training to know how to search, build lists & find candidates & contacts. EG, you write 'Bob' into search, & it won't appear but you'll add an asterisk & it will appear. If you had 'Bob Jane' in the first name, it also won't appear. - The filters don't work correctly. EG, we have 'DPA' & 'Non DPA' - BH did not have the ability to differentiate between the two using the filter, because they both said 'DPA'. We had to either change the terminology (which is industry standard in the medical field) or use the advanced search rather than the filters. - The updating of the custom fields is clunky & not intuitive. Adding in multiple job types was limited to 3 (i.e. salary, contract & temp - we have additional types)and each one required individual customizing (fair) which the played havoc if it didn't match up to the master file which overrode the other 3. EG, ALL custom fields were required on the master, and then you'll match up each in the individual job type as required. You'd then just include what was required in the individual job type. - The migration from our old CRM was poor. One Example- We ended up with thousands of files that were 'New South Wales' which got turned into 'New South Western Australiales.
