I have used bullhorn a number of years now starting with Sendouts and the earlier models. The new software is very cloud based and I really enjoy it. It has the mobile app which is great, although sometimes it doesn't work well. For a CRM I would recommend it.

A mobile application for the same!!!

Pros

Easy of use and customization. Lots of options to customize your own experience. It is the best staffing tool in the industry. Great, fresh interface. Very detail oriented. so helpful in following the candidate through the process. Helps me to do the complete recruitment Life Cycle.

Cons

Timeouts while actively working in the system. Needs a very fast processor pc as it has very advanced UI and uses lot of memory. Don't have a mobile version as now you have everything on Mobile.

Pros: Attractive software, cloud based & Boolean searchable Cons: Slow, freezes up often, reporting is clunky (you have to run 2-3 reports to get an individual recruiter's full performance numbers), dashboards don't work properly and Support is .... MAJOR CON IS THE SERVICE: Support is theoretically there, but not really. Plan on your calls to support taking an hour or more, you will be told they will call you back (they won't) and you'll hear a lot of "I can't fix that, you have to pay extra for that". No, you cannot talk to a manager. Your account rep will not call or email you back. There is no training, the "training videos" are only for the most basic actions and there is no user manual for setting up dashboards, understanding reports or any advanced functions. If you can't figure it out yourself then be very comfortable with confrontation, because you will have to fight for any help you get with Bullhorn. Make sure you get everything promised to you in writing, don't pay with a credit card (we are currently being overcharged for twice as many users as we use) and stay on top of the data migration process. We converted 8 months ago and just found three years of data was not converted over but just left in limbo. Now Bullhorn wants us to pay for them to finish the data conversion that was part of our free on-boarding.

Pros

It makes the full cycle recruitment process very easy. We can search for the best results with in the bullhorn and it tracks the best result from the internal database . We can have the proper track of candidates. Very easy to use .

Cons

There is nothing that I dislike about the software but the price of Bullhorn is comparatively higher than the other CRM.

Cons

I wish they had an app for me to download on my Mac like they do on my phone. but that's a minor inconvenience.

If I was running a mid-large staffing firm, this is the product I'd use.

Pros

This is the defacto applicant tracking system for the staffing/recruiting industry. Easy implementation/integration with our HRIS if relevant.

Cons

Not really a negative, just is what it is... the product is built for the agency world and doesn't really make sense for corporate recruiting settings.

Pros

From the user standpoint, it is not a difficult system to navigate, and it captures all of the data points we use for our metrics. From an administrator standpoint, there are many looks/configurations we can define, and the ease of ability to maintain selections within the various fields. The Support Team seems to be very knowledgeable with not only current configurations, but also legacy type configurations.

Cons

The standard reporting feature does not always provide the data we use or our metrics, but we are hoping the new S-Release will help us replace some custom reports.

Bullhorn is a great software by all standards. In addition, I like the speed with which the software is improving. This way, I see that it will not be too long before the challenges users face now will be a thing of the past.

Pros

Bullhorn has proven to be a very effective software in recruiting. Their customer support experience is also very commendable. Other companies that use Bull horn also testify that this is a great buy.

Cons

Though the customer support service is great, system timeouts create a lot of inconvenience and waste time, even though such instances are not too frequent with me.

Great people working there, and looking forward to NOVO

Pros

Many features, partners, and based on Engage, very passionate about the customer happiness and success. Very attractive user interface.

Cons

I wish it were easier to make changes on the backend to customize our workflow in more detail. With my last ATS I was able to create more detailed custom reports as well - for the money Bullhorn should come with more reporting features and capabilities out of the box rather than paying for Canvas or a 3rd party.

This product is easy to use and track meetings and applicants/where we are in the job process. I definitely found it easy to use once I got the hand of it.

Cons

It can be a little bit difficult to use when first learning. It was different from my previous company, therefore made it a little difficult.

Pros

BH has many search options. You can choose the traditional search method but you can also search by telephone number or by email address first initial and full last name. If my main topic menu does not coincide with the closing menu required within my scope, BH will not process that information you will see in read that function is not capable, which is great. Had it of submitted and saved, I would need to go back in an change. BH processor are smooth it a smooth transition between each functionality with the BH structure I use. BH intergrates with with other tools as well like Talentwise.

Cons

I think BH is wonderful and the Vendor takes very good care of its products and ensures its maintenance and up keep.

It does the job and it does it in a reliable easy to use way. The issue is that most of the advanced features come with a cost. So while the base edition is cost efficient with no minimum user subscription, if you wanted unlimited storage it's extra, customization, mass deleting, etc. all extra costs. I'm not disappointed with my decision to use this CRM. At all. I just think that the direction that I'm going to take my company into next year we will not need something like this and a shared excel drive with LinkedIn should suffice.

Pros

Extremely easy to use. Web-based is awesome, though takes time getting used to. Custom support 24/7 is awesome too. It's very reliable and I've never seen the CRM's servers down.

Cons

Mail merging is annoying. Up to 500 p/blast and if you email over 9 people (or 10?) you have an 'remove from mailing list' option which must go on your email. I can't stand that, so I now mail merge using excel via outlook.

Pros

We are able to customize the software to optimize searching and reporting. What works for us can be so different from another company, and having the ability to customize our dashboard, fields, reports, user interfaces, etc. makes the software invaluable. If I ever have an issue Bullhorn Support is just a phone call (or chat!) away. I am overly impressed with the Support staff; they do a great job understanding questions.

Cons

I wish the suggestions in the Brainstorm feature would be taken a little more seriously. I oftentimes find others suggestions the same updates, but then nothing happens. There are a couple features I wish I could customize a little more, and my suggestions have gone unacknowledged.

I own an executive search firm that is consistently ranked in the top 50 firms in the US by hunt scanlin each year. Bullhorn was an awful experience and one of the worst investments I have made as a business owner. The salespeople are slick....smart and slick, and I was sold a complete bull of goods and once the sale went through my sales rep could not be found. The migration was a disaster and the customer success team completely dropped the ball the conversion. Then, when we signed up with a new software platform after our 24 months, we incurred a lot of extra charges to get our data back and Bullhorn squeezed every dollar they could from us. Awful experience and I would advise against using their platform. Complete waste of a lot of money and to this day, i never heard from our sales rep with an explanation or even an apology.

Cons

A lot- poor customer success/account management. Disorganized migration process. Great salespeople who sell you a platform and can't be found when problems come up.

Cons

I come from a salesforce background and I like this much better. That said, the sales reporting is limited and I would like to see more sales process and methodology best practices for firms to adopt the language and better metrics reporting out of the box. Something like a leaderboard

Pros

I liked the interface- it is modern and presents quite well on mobile.

Cons

The service we received was really sub-par. The package that we were sold was for a full implementation and training. The training sessions were delayed three times which ultimately meant that we ended up going live with the system 5 months after paying for it. We were also told that the system would parse CVs in multiple language and that it would eventually be able to accept Chinese and Japanes CVs. This never happened. We feel like we were lied to by the sales reps. When we complained we were brushed off. All in all, it has been a frustrating experience and I would not recommend choosing Bullhorn as a vendor in future.
